So, what exactly is your problem? Are you a slow learner or just let greed get the best of you? The vast majority of these scams are quite easy to spot.

HYIP Scams have a long history in the internet.
And with bitcoin HYIPS, almost 99.99% turn out to be scammers.

And the most disturbing part popular websites like BitcoinTalk are being used as "baits"
by these scammers... so sad.


Don't you think we need to do something about this???

I personally have been scammed many times. Almost every little satoshi I earned from faucets have been eaten up by scammy Hyips.

I have started this thread so that at-least here at BitcoinTalk web can take some steps so that
new users wont get their bitcoins lost.

Suggest your ideas that can be implemented so this problem can be curbed.

One suggestion I would like to give is that "newbie" users should not be allowed to directly post any
new Hyip program. Instead they would be required support from any senior member and that senior member will post the
information about the HYIP.

Another suggestion can be some fixed "security deposit" system here before allowing the hyip be posted here.

post your views and suggestion so that admins and senior users here will take note and maybe could do something about this problem.

Here we examine the butthurt user. Always falling for obvious scams, then bitching about them.

If it's a hyip, it will scan some time or another. Don't even bother investing. Most don't pay out, and some will just fall randomly. You say you've lost to multiple hyips, then you should have learned your lesson. Don't invest in surefire ponzis.

There'll always be a newbie who will fall into these.

Wouldn't it be good that rather than banning them from the forum, we better educate the users to not to be selfish and not to throw away their money in these scams. An increase in common sense would be a good tool against preventing HYIP scams. The "Caveat Emptor" thing is there for a reason.

Thats exactly why people should give the owners of these sites red trust to alert the users. Honestly, if its still not obvious enough that money doesnt fall from the sky with no reason and people still invest loads of money into such a site and lose all their money - its mostly their fault.
New users however dont know this scam and tend to fall into it, so we somehow need to prevent that at the first place.

Pretty much all sites in "Investor-based games" are scams, that's why I ignore that whole forum.

If those HYIPs post outside that forum (and/or have signature campaigns), then you should definitely create a topic in the "Scam accusation" forum, so we can give the site owner negative trust if needed.

what bout newbie accounts??? unless you are cheated by them , how would you give negative rep???

I think directly posting new hip should not be allowed without support from any senior member.
It will at least bring some trustworthiness... maybe 

To be honest, there is nothing we can do to stop the HYIP from coming to BitcoinTalk. Because admin just don't have the time to monitor scams.
The best we can do is to give negative rep to these HYIP owner.
