Thanks, I will report it.

Can someone tell me a little more about how the scammer appears to be using the same domain as bitcointalk.org? Is bitcointalk.org-'PUT TEXT HERE' also part of bitcointalk or is it a completely separate site? How is he trying to pull this scam off?

I've also censored the link now.

(CAREFUL, if it's a scam link then probably don't click)

You should censor it somehow. Maybe put a few brackets between it?

Then after putting that in it redirected me back to my account (it didn't say incorrect password).

So I just want your thoughts on the above. Definitely a scam link right? Has this happened to other people?
It isn't strange that it would say incorrect password. Just configure the page to redirect to bitcointalk.org and it would definitely be fine.

It's definitely a phishing link, press report to moderators on the PM message and report it.

Your account is safe as long as you didn't enter your password in the fake page, there is no keylogger in it. Next time, avoid to open links in PMs from newbies.

I'm quite worried now. I didn't put my password in that link at all. But even visiting it... can I be sure there is no keylogger on my computer etc? I noticed it's a http link and not https....

I received a private message from user: jacobmayes94.

The content of the message is pasted below:

Hi jamie1029

I've replied to you:

I clicked on the link and it told me I need to log in as my session expired. I thought that was pretty weird as my session shouldn't have expired.
I checked the link URL and it resolved to this address (CAREFUL, if it's a scam link then probably don't click)

[DONTCLICKhttp://bitcointalk.org-index.php.actionprofileu.myrippleaddress.com/?u=jamie1029&r=868275.3580CLICKDONT]

Anyway, by this point it looks definitely a scam link, curiosity got the better of me so I put it a FAKE password to that link, I put '%^%$$ YOU SCAMMER'. Then after putting that in it redirected me back to my account (it didn't say incorrect password).

So I just want your thoughts on the above. Definitely a scam link right? Has this happened to other people?
