Hi friends

I'm installing a new rig, I have an old system to use to get rid of, P5P43TD motherboard, 8GB DDR3 Ram and intel Xeon L5410 cpu ,12M Cash
I want to evaluate these pieces using mining.

I would like to ask you, can I build a rig with these old parts together with the 2x RTX 3060 Ti 8GB? Are there problems such as not recognizing cards or not seeing them? or other problems?

thank you for your answers

yes you can but pci lines is limited, buying new rigs is cheap specially you had rtx3060ti and those old rigs consume more power, and the driver might obsolute for windows,

if linux still doable, most of motherboard failure when they put on high humidity for long time, try to heat with solder gun if something error happen

I used even older junk in mining. The old motherboard did not work for me for long and I changed it. I had to buy another motherboard, processor and memory.
If you want to mine for several years, then you better buy a new motherboard with a processor.
If your mining farm is in your home, then you can use old motherboards.

A Xeon processor can easily detect two cards even some of the newest ones like the RTX 3060 ti.Personally I have the Xeon 1650 V1 an old Xeon running on an HP 420 Workstation and it easily has recognized three cards.Another reason I think it will have no problems is that Xeon processors usually have more PCIe lanes than normal processors so go ahead without worries.
