Greetings. Itself more than once thought about trying such a thing in action. I remember the times when they just started to promote cryptocurrency and those who were involved in mining said that it was very profitable.
Today, in our regions, many have left this movement. Not knowing the whole point of why this happened, I came to the conclusion that it is no longer profitable

To be 100% honest, in order to get involved with mining today by mining to earn income, you probably need a good amount of capital. There is a lot that goes into it. If you know absolutely nothing, in order to get started in somewhat of a meaningful way, in my opinion you would need access to cheap power, like 2¢-6¢ per kilowatt hour, and if you can source an antminer S9 and run that for a couple of months to learn with you should break even if things go well. You'd need like at least ~$500 for the miner and hope the power supply doesn't fail or a part breaks. you'd also need to pay monthly for the electricity bill and be prepared for the noise and heat the machine will produce. it's louder than a vacuum.
that said if you just want to tinker and learn you can get one of the usb miners or a smaller or older miner and play around with that to see if its something that would be worth spending the time for you. perhaps maybe see if there are miners in your area that might need people to help giving machines maintenance etc.

It is a unique material and less people know, end up I have too much time.
