I`m speculating that Josh will get his lawyers and try to reduce his sentence and pay lesser amount then what they want.

Its usually a reasonable amount they agree behind closed chambers with the judge, breaking a deal between lawyers and they even discuss his finance. I know from experience since I actually was on a $1.2 mill case with jurors that were needed at the time.  They might not obviously need jurors for this, but the inner deals is common.

That guy should go to Jail as not only did he steal electricity and made a breach of contract, but he even failed to fulfill his promise to at least take XPY to BTC0.2/XPY due to which (all the FUD that he created), people invested a lot and lost a lot due to misconceptions...

Homero is now trying to make things more complicated by blaming his friends/colleagues for stealing from him and forcing to sign some contracts.. he probably thinks by making this he will delay the investigation, but the bottom line is that hashlets was a ponzi and all this paycoin thing was a security the way they handled them and he will answer for this Wink

But that is not where the story ends ; http://cointelegraph.com/news/113866/gawminers-ceo-garza-rebrands-paybase-to-mineral-moves-operation-abroad,

well his quotes are quite funny to me ; "The new Mineral Platform will be the greatest wallet and exchange on the planet!"

Is this his new scam? , build up a service, and later on, get "hacked", with client money missing? I believe this will be the headline story for coindesk later this year or so,
give or take a few months.. once a cheater , always a cheater

cheers

I have no formal company ownership, stock, in mineral. The primary resource I have offered to the mineral team is feedback. Things I have seen work, and some of the things I have no seen work. I would hope they have considered it valuable.”

Correct me if, I'm wrong but i think he doesn't own the exchange. He just provide feedbacks lol

GAWminers the company is being sued, not Josh. The company will go bankrupt but Josh walks. He is not going to jail for not paying electricity bills.

It seems this scammer is going to jail for multiple reasons now... Hope he gets what he deserves there.. What a shame..
Just sad that he must have stashed much of his stolen btc somewhere safe and will enjoy them when he gets out Sad

A court case can take months to years to get a result. He might go to jail this year but he will be paying the  best lawyers money can buy to delay any case as long as possible. That might keep him out of jail for longer than a year.

I dont know about jail for Josh based on this lawsuit (maybe fraud but thats a different story altogether) but the company will definitely go bankrupt and any assets taken from this lawsuit.

A Mississippi electric company has filed suit against GAW Miners for non-payment and breach of contract.

According to court documents, Mississippi Power Company (MPC) is seeking repayment of roughly $224,000 in services, as well as nearly $50,000 in costs incurred specifically for servicing GAW.

MPC is looking to collect an additional $73,493.48, an amount the utility claims it is entitled to as a result of the alleged breach of contract.

The suit was filed on 8th April in the Southern District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. The electric utility is being represented by Mississippi-based law firm Balch & Bingham LLP.

In total, MPC is seeking $346,647.29 plus interest and any court fees associated with the suit.
