First of all, I wouldn't advice you to buy any unknown coin, but just keep your bitcoins how they are.

However, if you are sure you want to trade:
On coinmarketcap.com, I see that the only website where you can trade Autonio is on EtherDelta, and not on any other site. What you have to do is trade your BTC for ETH, and then trade ETH for Autonio.
If BTC/ETH trading is not available on EtherDelta, then you need to trade BTC to ETH somewhere else and send the ETH to EtherDelta.

why do you think we should not buy an unknown coin? why do you also suggest for us to trade BTC to ETH or Autonio? Thank you for your answer. Smiley Smiley

Thanks for all advice! I want to jump on an altcoin, just to experience a ride (hopefuly a ride up!).

I made up my mind, keeping the BTC. Will buy another (most likely NIO) altcoin directly with ETH. Also will invest the coming months in (a selection?) of top 10 coins. Reblancing my investments over the best known coins spread risks, but will also give me some flexibility.

Probably will evaluate my investments every month to repair weaknesses in the portfolio.
This is a technique I try to execute with my normal stock portfolio (index-fund), mixed with crowdfunding and normal savings. If one of them makes more or less profit, I will rebalance this in the next
- cash 10-15%
- crowdfunding 25-35%
- stock 50-60%
Works great in real-life! Not sure in coins though..

Any tips?

You wouldn't have to do anything just hold bitcoin. Bitcoin could reach 10k or even more in the coming months.

Whats the reason to want to swap to the other two coins? - If you wanted to buy / swap to those from the start why didn't you purchase them initially?

Well, here's another crazy man who rushed to the price. Why should I buy at such a high price, but okay bought now wait. And the exchange for the Ethereum, another tangled step with the loss on the commission. In short, something strange you have in mind.

You can try to multiply them on gambling, my friend.
Or you can just keep them and wait for good price Wink

I love to advice onother users advice and got to ask questions about this one that can be applied to your question.

You got your bitcoin well use an application blockfolio its an app that can help you ti get updated and not wait for prices to increase or decrease.

Now its called flat trading which hypotheticaly if buy small and wait for the price to increase you make more bitcoin.

Yes I did my first purchase, I bought some bitcoins (or at least, some small parts...)

What's next? I want to buy Autonio.
Autonio deals only with Ethereum (ETH)(https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/autonio/#markets)

On EtherDelta (https://etherdelta.com/#NIO-ETH) it looks like I can't change my bitcoins to Ethereum (ETH).
What is the proces of buying Autonio with Bitcoins.

It's a bit confusing..

If you want to buy various altcoins, you need to find an exchange that has the coins you are interested in. Some of the major exchanges that I’m familiar with are: Bittrex, Bitfinex (not for US customers), Poloniex, Kraken, Yobit, etc.

I do not endorse any particular exchange, but try to find one that is reputable and offers the coins you want. Open an account with them and then send some of your Bitcoins to your deposit address on that exchange. Now you can trade coins freely.

I want to experiment with crypthocoins after experience with ‘normal’ stocks and crowdfunding. I searched this forum and found out multiple interesting project. One of them is authonio/NIO.

But I did not know how to interchange the coins (did not even know I should’v bought ETH in stat of BTC).

So here I am, newbie with wrong coins  Roll Eyes purchased.

Is this a strange attempt to shine some spotlight on Autonio? Why would someone want to buy BTC {The strongest coin} and

then sell that to buy Ethereum and then dip into some unknown coin? You obviously know more than the average newbie, so

I cannot see why you have difficulty with selling BTC for ETH? .....Good luck with that.  Roll Eyes

Thank you for the advice!

I read a lot about autonio (whitpaper, threads, social media), and it looks promissing to me.
So i'm am trying to jump on the wagon.

Is it normal that trades are done in different trading platforms to purchase the trade you like (BTC/ETH, ETH/NIO)? It does not look userfriendly..
Are there 'big players' in the tradingplatforms that can be trusted?

And typically, exchanging to ETH first is a good idea when moving between exchanges, as the transaction and confirmation times are much quicker with ETH.  15s blocks with 6-10 confirms instead of BTC at 10 minute blocks and 3 confirms.
