Well one of my cousin got heart trouble 3 months back, he was fat and thought he was healthy and he was diagnosed with Coronary artery disease (CAD) and they had to do a Balloon Angioplasty to get his artery open and now he can't lift anything even slightly heavy for the rest of his life, not even his kid.
One of my cousin's husband died of heart attack about a month back on his way to the Airport, he was fat too, so I don't think you can be fat and healthy at the same time, you may look good outside but your arteries inside are choking and if you don't do anything about that you'll die pretty soon. Believe it or not but after those 2 incidents I have been running my ass off every morning. I am not fat but my line of work doesn't involves any physical labor and which is why it is necessary for me to burn some calories and get that heart pumping for cardio workout.
Oh man. Sorry to hear that about your family members.
My grandmother also had problems in her later life because of weight. At the age of 60 she started having serious issued with her legs. She wouldn't go out alone after 65 in fear of falling or having to stop due to the pain. In her later years she couldn't go without daily pills for blood pressure and and thyroid. She also had issues with her eyes, I remember that she would occasionally wake up with bleeding in her eye and the doctor would tell us it must've been due to blood pressure because she forgot to take the pills for a day.
