My number one rule in trading: never regret what happened in the past. Everything happens for a reason. No need to be shameful in this situation. You are just dreaming about being rich if you have had invest your money in Dmst. But the true is you dont.

Think of a positive way: what did you learn after losing money ? Being wiser and split your capital into half. Understanding a project gives you more information about what and when to invest. Spliting your money gives you more chances to have an income (which i consider as money management). If you had put 0.1 eth in each project, you would have had 5 eth. But domt worry, opportunies are still out there. Dont be scared of finding a new one and starting a new adventure. And remember, in trading, everything can happen. Even a trustful project can exit scammed

Agree with this
Never regret with what happened in the past since it's already "past"

I would say that most investors went through this situation before where you decided to invest into 1 out of few choices
Then the 1 failed and other went up by folds
It's fine because having losses is part of investment, no one can profit 10/10 trade
Thus diversify is one of the key when comes to portfolio investment

You were scammed, it seems. No need to regret as you learned something new. Greed is a destruction in trading which I've learned. If I would have cashed ICO tokens in 2017, I would be launching at least 5 ETH 2.0 validator node today!

Yes but I don't regret the amount I lost I rather regret the return I would have gotten if I only invested that in dmst.

Only two cases are anger and self-confidence in the kidneys. I see you've got lucky here, but this is just a little bit of luck and it won't be regular, trust me you won't be able to find a second chance other than that. Instead of regretting it, you have also benefited from the project you put your money into, and it is certainly much better than losing your money. But this is still an approach, or investment that i do not encourage people to pursue because it is not well known for the crowd, to go through these only a loss of money and your time.

Wth?

Anyway I have moved on, you gotta give few days for regrets to pass.

Locking the topic.

We've been there when we regret something just because we choose a different path but who knows? Although it's a good lesson though to not to be eaten by greed or else we suffer from the consequences. All you have to do right now is to never repeat the same mistakes you made. Accept the past and move on and also invest more in knowledge of knowing what you should invest next time with lower risk.

yes that's right, I was also one of the participants who took part in Padthai the day before being declared a scammer. as a result i lost some ehter. not big but enough to buy pizza. Initially, it seemed far from the word scammer. but nothing is impossible, an obstacle that must be used as a lesson for the future so that you are always careful in investing.

why regret something that already happened. this kind of regret is what makes some people go mental when trading. You don't know and actually none of us have any clue whether a coin will make it big or not because it's all just luck. so save your time from regretting it and maybe start to find other project that are good and stop investing just because the hype.

Story is as follows:

I wanted to invest little amount of ether.

Came across few projects, shortlisted two, dmst and padthai finance ("defi craze")

For some stupid reason I decided to go with padthai finance which exit scammed shortly after. I don't care about investment there because it was miniscule amount of ether (0.2)

Regret is, Dmst was at $0.0006 at that time and today it's trading at 3 cents, that's 50x. My 0.2 eth would be 10 eth!!!

I went to the project which had anonymous dev (I had enough of them actually but I blinded myself with greed), or at least I should of put some in both of them, so my regret wouldn't have been this big...

I'm really pissed on myself

Mistakes like these were common because we cant really be sure on what project would really take off its price and which one would end up on becoming a complete shit token.
I have several experience yet wayback ive been a fan on buying some coins with low cap where i do always had that hope for some pump to make some serious profits.
Some coins did pump but majority of them didnt able to make a move and eventually die which in result in loss of money.Regret will be always in the end and telling lots of IF's
but theres no way to go back yet damage had been done.Thing here is to accept and move on and be careful on next times selection.

Ethereum will be good coin from my knowledge and experience.Don't get worry on a small rise and fall in ETH price.Holding will save you all the time and from the loss.If you want your Eth rise upto 1Eth you need to hold your ETH with patience.Ethereum is the best project to inverse your valuable money.

you made a wrong choice. but you shouldnt give up. i am sure as long as you keep following the new projects, you will find a better gem and make more profit. Many people here started with losses in the beginning.

Following several DeFi projects will indeed give you many advantages if you choose the right one, but you will experience a lot of downsides if you choose the wrong one. As your choice, it turns out that the DeFi coin is scammed and you have to be willing to lose your ether.
it is better to trade normally on the Binance exchange than having to choose an obscure project.
if you only focus on 100x profit then the losses will overshadow you. Bad experiences like this should be a valuable lesson and you don't repeat it again

You have a lesson in your story. I think 0.2 eth is too big to invest in a new project, and we don't know if that project can achieve success to increase their price in the future or the price will be staying at a low price. Maybe you need to read about the whitepaper to search what is the point of their project so you can know if you can invest in that project or move to the other price. Next time, before you invest, you need to know how much money you should use, so if the price is hard to increase, you will not regret it.

I bet you didn't even read the op and just completing your bounty posts.,

Treat the amount you have invested as a lesson.

If that's not an expensive amount for you as you've learned then that's a good deal for you. And one lesson is that you don't go fully with a project if you are about to regret it later on. It would do if you just cut it in half.

0.1 ETH for each.

I think that would be the option if you've done so but it's all done and you only need to move on.

stop regretting because there will be a lot of bad things that will happen in the future. if every stupid thing you experience, you are always sorry, one day there will be no courage to invest again. Maybe yesterday you were wrong for choosing a bad project. but make this experience a lesson for investing in the future. everyone in the crypto community has experienced something like this. so get used to it.

How long did padthai turned $0.03?  If you are just going to wait for a long time anyway, you could just bought the coins with less than $0.10 but are on top 50 of the CMC.

It was listed on uniswap at above a dollar, it was dumped hard and I bought it at under a cent, thought it was a good deal.

You are not aware of what could be in the future. You will still feel the same way if its dmst that did the exit scam while you invest on it.
But now its a lesson learned that you you'd have to expect the worse when you don't know what could happen. If you just bought the ones that are listed already, you could have avoided losing it all.

I totally understand what you must be feeling right now but you have done what you wanted to do at that time and there's nothing you can do about it now.
Whatever we do should be taken as an experience and we must learn from it and improvise.
At least now you know that you could have got a better result if you would have invested a little amount in both the projects.
Sometimes it's not about choosing the right project but choosing the right strategy.

No questions?
Bad experience, good lesson.
That's all you got for now.

But, it should never end like that next time.
Take out greed. Put in some efforts into DIY research. Dig deeper. It's a good story though. Thanks for sharing.

You know we can’t catch all the fish with a little money that we have, and I also experienced the same thing but I have no regrets at all because this is how trading and investing works, its hard to grab every profit opportunity. Better to focus on your long term goal and take small steps at a time, stop thinking about those losses just or missed opportunities because many will still come, you just have to do better this time and choose the best one.

I think you should learn that you shouldn’t be Frustrated with what happened because you didn’t even hold that 10 ETH, And you only lost 0.2. It’s a disappointing event, but you just cannot predict the future, and that’s ok. So don’t be so sad and push forward.

P.S. i have thought of a possible title for this topic “Lesson Learned will improve today” something along those lines.
