Posting and spending time on crypto forums or normal forum is more interesting, educative and there's more interaction to me than on social media. Social media is over hyped and full of garbages.

To be honest, I love to read more than posting on bitcointalk sometimes I keep watching the drama thread of what is going on but never got any words to say so I will keep reading the responses. Sometimes I visit the politics section to get more fun while reading.

I also did enjoy posting on bitcointalk and also learn things that you didn't know yet. I also join signature ad campaign to earn money to use it to buy load for my phone to be able to connect. I am not comfortable using public computer to access bitcointalk long enough as I  aware of what might happen if you use public computers for cryptocurrency related topics or discussion.

Exactly just as the subject says, it's now fast becoming a hobby posting on this forum for me, well obviously you cannot post continually on this forum and not grow your knowledge on its related areas, except of course if you're a shitposter(i wouldn't want to get into that), so I'm not just posting, I'm learning. I quit facebook few years back, as well as some other social media sites, Bitcointalk in one way or the other has helped me not to miss them even at the slightest bit, rather than scrolling over pictures, risking my privacy, I'll post in here, read voraciously, comment when I feel I should and lest I forget, I also replaced the "like" button with "+merit" when I have some Smerits to give.

As a student in the university, i feel proud discussing with my peers about bitcoin, and being the one the most knowledge about it, and also telling them about bitcointalk when they inquire to know the source of my knowledge, you automatically just get the feeling you're doing good for yourself.
Once you love posting on this forum, you must succeed here, it's a working philosophy, is it even possible to succeed in an area you do not love, just because you want to earn?.

That's a good view about the forum. Instead of seeing it as a source of additional errands everyday, we shoud see it as a hobby that as informative as a newspaper. In my own experience, I was able to enhance my proficiency in english and at the same time I was able to improve my knowledge about cryptocurrency. It is possible to succeed in an area even though you do not love what you are doing but it would be way more better if you would love what you do so that you will not grow tired on what you are doing and be consistent.

@OP you can add "reading" in the title as well - "I enjoy reading and posting on bitcointalk"

You kind of remind me of the post I made last year. It's quite unfortunate that many users here fail to realize the purpose of this forum.

After I decided to change my old habits into something that looks good and useful as it is now, I often feel ashamed when I want to post something that doesnt seem good and is not constructive. But that feeling has brought great benefits to me and honestly that I have the opportunity to rise to the rank of senior member because of that feeling "Shame when you cant make constructive posts".

I enjoyed it and I am quite happy because I have succeeded in turning something that seems bad into something good. When writing something useful has become a habit, then we will also enjoy it.

I got two of the best thing here in Bitcointalk, sharing my opinion while getting paid by promoting projects in my signature, but apart from this I get to stumble new projects that will soon come out in the public, and we are the early investors and promoters, everything are all here in Bitcointalk, I enjoy posting here it's very rewarding to be part of this forum.

LOL, please don't do this because the forum will 'ruin' your life. You might change from a Facebook-worm to a bitcointalk.org-worm. Just kidding, guys but the fact is if you spend your time too much inside the forum, you will fall in love with it as well as lots of helpful and kindful members in the forum.

Sometimes, I have to restrict myself with a maximum amount of time I should spend in the forum, just to save more time for the rest, such as my family.  Lips sealed
I wanted to be more likely called as a bitcointalk.org-worm rather than a facebook-worm. Both community fulfills the purpose of socialization but we cannot more agree that this community gives a wider scope of knowledge in different topic and to the crypto space making it more addictive than facebook.

I am just a student and I also have to restrict myself in using the forum because there are lots of academic activity that needs to he accomplished including the review session you needed to attend to. You are right, sometimes this forum can ruin a persons life but I think that being ruined by this forum is a good thing.

In my case, I like reading threads and comments that are posted here, I do comment and share my opinion because of I active in bounty hunting, I'm the kind of poster that like to post that I am familiar with and avoid asking questions that are already in the discussions because readers like me don't want redundant posts.

That's a very good habit of yours that you read and then post. Majority of the users here post first and do not read and therefore we see a lot of repeated and redundant posts. If we post of topics on which we have interest, our knowlegde can be beneifical for the others.  I also post if i am confused about something and need to ask a solution for it.

Apart from just enjoying chatting, Bitcointalk gives users the opportunity to earn while doing what they love doing, there are so.many social media out there, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and so on and all are geared towards one aim... Connecting people and being social but none of those forums usually offers a unique earning opportunity such as Bitcointalk and I think this in itself is very awesome.

And apart from that, Bitcointalk is one of the few places where you can get the latest Cryptocurrency news around the world, once something happens anywhere in the world and is connected to Cryptocurrencies, it is almost guaranteed that you would see it in this forum that day it happened, this forum is just one of the best, it keeps cryptocurrency enthusiasts connected and informed and most importantly, compensated for having fun.

I very regularly visit the forum whether or not I'm on a paying bounty.
This must be done by all members to show their loyalty to the forum. I ever did a bad mistake by viewing the forum only as a place to earn money. Luckily, someday I realized that the forum is more than just earning money. We gain knowledge, friends, business partners, and even support the revolution for the future. In the past, I come to forum only for bounty signature tasks. But now, I am here everyday to know everything about forum and information about crypto.

Since I got introduced to this forum, it has taken up a lot of my time spent online. I very regularly visit the forum whether or not I'm on a paying bounty. The knowledge, posting habits and connections I (aspire to) gain has been very educative and has influenced my behavior on other sites as well.
The primary knowledge about Bitcoin which I have learned has also been very helpful and I'm privileged to be one of the few persons around with a little technical know-how on how the blockchain technology functions.

Personally,  I enjoy to be in Bitcointalk forum  because I have some good friends here and we can discuss about many different topics in our language,  not just crypto topics but also local politics,  sport etc.
Also,  I can find a lot useful info in the forum,  learn about new crypto projects and even earn some btc for something I will do any way,  writing in the forum 😁

I have other accounts on other Cryptocurrency related forums one of the forum, where I have an account and very active, is Cryptotalk but here in Bitcointalk is where I get all the best new and latest updates, on what's happening in the industry and the community, all the best project or coins started heer and they have an active threads, and all projects reviewed here to see if all these are legit, making Bitcointalk the best forum on anything and everything about Cryptocurrency.
I also uses this forum in checking projects legitimacy as many active users are kind enough to exposed bad intentions of some projects. The serious members of this forum sometimes do it for free so others will not be a victim. It's much better to counter check here in forum than in other ratings or review websites if we plan to join, hold or invest in new projects.

Sharing the importance of being knowledgeable in subjects like cryptocurrencies would be beneficial to others if you are going to share them. Maybe those little things could help improve the image of cryptocurrencies in general. Word of mouth could help spread how it could help them in the long run. That's just my view on it.

I do believe that once you get on a roll in posting, especially when you know what you are talking about and contributing to the subject at hand, it would be interesting to post. Additionally, there would be research involved, so you could learn more and cite references that support your claims, etc. I think everyone should do that most of the time.

Same thoughts, I personally uninstalled my facebook app and spend my time reading a lot here in this forum. I usually spend a couple of hours just to read anything that catches my attention or If I have only queries regarding the technical aspect of a wallet or an exchange. I usually spend my time reading older posts that relate to the history of bitcoin and the cypherpunks LOL. This is not just a hobby but an addiction. This forum serves as a community where I can make new friends who has the same interest, and it makes me happy about that to the point that we have planned to gather a local meet up. Smiley

I may have a signature but still, I consider myself to act and post appropriately based on the forum rules and regulations. I often read a lot than posting crap around the forum. This type of addiction is very rewarding. Grin

It's not true all the time. A lot of participants from Chipmixer don't post much regularly. Some of them end up posting 5/10 posts per week while they could have posted 50 posts per week to earn 0.0375; that's why Chipmixer campaign is so generous & so does the participants.
Here are some stats of some of the Chipmixer participants which you may enjoy & will help you to change your thoughts.
Payrates highly correlated with quality of posts. At first stage, only highly qualitied users accepted in that campaign so it makes sense to see their posts stay at high quality levels. With them, making constructive and high quality posts are their favorite habits and I believe they feel shame of themselves if they make shitposts.

The correlation between post quality and payment rates is a two-sided one.

I am glad you like it here and have learnt so much. Having fun and enjoying yourself while you learn is very important. I'm glad there still people with genuine interest. You doing a good job introducing people to crypto.  Smiley

It's not about earning here. Earning is just a by product and one should not consider it as the main source.
Some people here think otherwise. Apparently, if you're in a signature campaign, you're only posting for the money.
Some people will still be posting actively in the forum whether they are wearing signature or not. Some people in that group prefers getting paid while doing so.

You cannot just pretend that all those who are wearing signatures are posting only to get paid and have no interest in writing. This may be true for majority of the users here but there are people who will post with interest and at the same time get payment for it too.

Be honest. Most would not post as much as we did if we were not earning something. I don't see anything in wanting to earn while doing other things you would do anyway. Maybe you would only make 2 posts a day but you getting paid so you make 4. It is ok. As long as you just not posting just to fill in the post. It is very annoying when you get these bounty hunters that join anything. They act like bots to me but they actually people.
Just read some of the stuff some users post.

(keeping some details reserved I presume)...
Surely, you can never be sure who you are talking to in any environment you find yourself in, never believe they know little about cryptocurrency and blow yourself up by talking about things that should be kept secret(private keys, password etc).
If in case I can't open forum some days then I feel that I had lost something and I am missing something that were very important.
We share the same feeling, like for example during my exam period, I do not use the forum as much as I do on ordinary days, and also on the days I have a long essay or research project to complete in school, I can't wait to catch up on what I miss when I actually make out time to get back to the forum, it's slowly becoming a part of me.

I am feeling same like you but there is small difference. For you posting on forum become hobby, but for me I am addicted, (Lol). To be honest, once I realized that this forum just not a crypto forum, it's a great academy for learning about bitcoin, that time I become addicted posting and reading forum post. More than 108 days my logged in time on this forum, but most of time I spent by reading forum posts made by users. So I believe more than write you should read if you really wanna learn about crypto-currency technology.

Not necessary that I am on any campaign or not. But from the beginning my habit is same. If in case I can't open forum some days then I feel that I had lost something and I am missing something that were very important. I know everyone have different thought and appreciate everyone's thought.

This. I gotta agree that facebook was the hype when it actually first came out, but at this point, I just use it to communicate with my friends and family through messenger. I for one learn a lot more here compared to the arguments in facebook where cancerous people litter literally everywhere that the sensible comments are buried under. There's also a lot of content to soak in so even after a year, you can still learn a lot of things here.
Bitcointalk dramas too  Cheesy
Much more note worthy to observe and participate with, rather than arguments in facebook where literally everyone you argue with seems brainless and only knows how to TT someone to silence.

That’s an interesting part. Whilst many people will likely keep their involvement as a hush-hush topic, others are perfectly comfortable talking about it (keeping some details reserved I presume), and university is likely an environment where one’s peers are more prone to engage in discussing the topic than, let’s say, a family reunion.

That was a rhetorical question though, and for me it's disappointing that someone would consider it as such, more disappointing is the fact that when they do so, they then do not earn, it's all to their bad though.

Hmmm, not all wearing signatures are only here for money, you should not include those who are really into the community, like sharing their knowledge or learning/exploring bitcoin/cryptocurrencies on this forum.
