For me, I never felt whenever I buy bitcoin because I feel like every day is a chance for Bitcoin price to increase at a satisfying price. I have always felt that bitcoin has a chance to increase it's price every day as it always has every room for opportunity due to its unique features and styles. And besides, if I let it bother then I won't be happy in my investments decision because I will always have regrets.

Just hodl the bitcoin. It's at 14.5k now and rising. Every hour there's a different price. Sometimes it's below what you bought in at, other times it's above. But even if it's a bit higher you don't want to sell just yet. The point of risking your money was to make a significant profit, so just hodl until it gets back to the 20k range or higher. We'll see what 2018 has in store for us.

But now that it has shot up to nearly $17,000 in just a few hours, it doesn't seem like too bad an investment!

Its crazy thinking that just last week i didn't want to buy at $10, or even $11k!

My only fear is that the bubble will pop with it increasing so quickly

I think not only you that feel bad when you buy bitcoin at a high price, many people feel this too but if you can handle your emotion to not become panic then I think you can hold your bitcoin. I think soon we can see bitcoin price increase and in that time, make sure you are prepared to sell your bitcoin to reach your profit. I think it is normal that we make a mistake but we don't have to be sad for a day, there are many times for us to fix the mistake and even we can make the profit.

All of us investors were very careful as far as investing in Bitcoins is concerned. One day of the other we can buy and make decisions based on hunches and also based on speculations. Just keep the bitcoin you got and watch it grow. Everything is about holding their bitcoins right now.

Buying at $14,000 may be the bottom compare to were bitcoin price will be in five to ten years to come. Many of us also have the fear you have that bubbles will pop one day but bitcoin network seeing strong days by days and it seemed no end to this pump. I believe in few years to come bitcoin will determine the financial progress and development of many countries and the citizens and governments are going to fight it to the ground when governments will try to attract bitcoin.

Never underestimate what bitcoin can accomplish, the price is still above 14k and it seems it is going to stay there for a moment but to me this seems like just a rest we are going to see bitcoin skyrocketing in the next weeks again as people return from their vacations they got from their bitcoin bonuses.

When you buy at peak price, you HAVE to hold, unless your country says it is banning Bitcoin (or something extremely severe).

When you bought into Bitcoin, you bought into a roller-coaster ride, that can make great profit. Backing out is not really an option.

I remember when I bought Litecoin at $70 a few months ago (right before the big correction). I was a new investor, but I didn't sell, and today it doesn't even matter.

I wonder if the sell-off is mainly from people who bought at 18-19k, or the big money?

this is best time to buy more bitcoin price correction and fee stable.

all time is good but in some times will get max profits
When you had buy at a peak price the best to do is hold. Yes the correction is happening these days even we havent buy at dips dont worry catch again the btc price at affordable rate. Because we often didnt catch the price rate to buy $11k but analyze the market then hold btc.

i think the support level is at $11k, thought we are now seeing a lil bit of pump where not yet done, we are still in a roller coaster ride, once the consilidation is over probably next week, bitcoin will go the moon!!! just my cent  Grin

$11,000 isn't a support level at all. At this point the only level that might actually get supported is $10,000 due to its multi factor importance. As long as the market remains above that level there is not much to worry about for people. However, if we do get to dip under the $10,000 level, things will get a whole lot more interesting, but for now that's not something we have to think about. Let the market just routinely bounce up and down, because in current times that's perfectly normal for a market that thrives on greed and fear. People have become a bit more reluctant now they know that the price doesn't shoot up to $100,000 in one go.

I’m in it for the long term, so I didn’t cash out when it was high.

I don’t have the time to do short term trading, but I do wish I would have sold at $19k and then rebought at $11/12/13k. A lot of good profits for some people!

I just want to see what happens in 2018!!! I predict it is going to be a crazy year, and actually make or break for bitcoin. It will be a huge success, or people will start to move away from it

Price is changing very fast. It can come down very quick but sometimes it recovers even faster.
That means you also have to react very quick to trade, you don't have days, sometimes not even hours like before so you have to be present at the market all the time. But this is good because even if you make some bad move and buy at higher price than you wanted be sure that you will have the opportunity to make this up and that the price will rise for sure even if at that moment it seems like you are losing.

I do see every chance for a dip as a good time to buy because really there is no point panicking over anything when of course this is just some normal thing that is expected to happen anyway.

Bitcoin was overbought, and it is normal to have a huge correction and that is what has caused the sudden slump but worrying about any slump now won't do any good except to just relax and watch the movie while you keep buying tickets when it is lower to enjoy more of the movie.

It felt like all of the hesitation to buy at $10k already wore off and was replaced by regret. Luckily I trusted bitcoin enough to keep on buying up until $14k when I called it quits for awhile. Bitcoin is the proudest purchase I've had on my entire existence since it nets me a huge profit over the past few years. I felt bad that I haven't known anything about it when it was just budding around early 2013 but hey, at least I'm a part of the 'early investors' club!
Feeling bad and bitcoin don't fit in the same sentence. Eventhough I have made bitcoin purchases that are up nearly 1000% at this point (and I'm still holding), I didn't quit buying either. Every month or so I buy bitcoin, regardless of the price it's at, with a percentage of the money I earned that month. Last month I bought bitcoin at around $11K and it dropped to $9K right after, and eventhough it was a relatively small investment and I didn't really care at what price I bought , I kind of felt that regret of not waiting that extra hour just to scoop up some extra bitcoin. But that's just me being so eager to get as much bitcoin as possible I guess. But still pretty pathetic because bitcoin is worth $14K right now. Just keep buying with everything you are willing to lose and you will be victorious in the end.

Personally I am waiting to spend money to buy some more bitcoin. This last days the price is too volatile; yesterday the price was at 16k$, today it is at 14k$...
As you wait for the price of bitcoin to get lower and you're willing to spend money for buying bitcoin, this is the right time for you to buy some more. This is what volatility is, after the quick pump there will be a dump but I consider this as correction and it's very normal to make the economy healthy. After this quick dump there will be another quick new ATH so if you want to ride that moment, take this chance.

This volatility offers opportunities for people waiting to enter. If you was considering to buy Bitcoin yesterday, and see now where the market stands at, it means a $2000 discount if you pull the trigger and start buying. Other than that, this volatility shouldn't come as a surprise considering how extremely thin the market currently is. In the mainstream media they make a big deal out of it, but it's all part of the game if you think logically. People shouldn't be forget that when the market goes up like $1000-$2000 in a matter of hours, it can also go down that much in a similar time fashion. Bitcoin and volatility are tied to each other basically for ever.

Its not only you who have a doubt in his/her mind, the fear of loss restrict many people to invest in bitcoin but some smart and risk taker have done it and now they are enjoying the ATH. Its never too late to be in this business, even now the people who have realized that bitcoin is not a bubble are earning handsome amount through it but many of the people are still in a doubt (or they don't want to take risk) even after seeing this much growth of bitcoin.

You have the same feelings and the same fears as most of those who hold Bitcoins have now. I guess BTC keepers stay sleepless  Shocked
I empathize with them. I understand the worry of them. Wondering sell or continue to keep. because bitcoin price is too high compared with Bitcoin price before we buy into, profit is greater when selling them this time. However we are still like to reserve bitcoin, fear that sell them and can not buy back with lower prices

The matter is that we have already seen what the maximum record of the Bitcoin price can be for today, and at the slightest slips of 1000 or several thousand, it will be possible to buy boldly and wait for the next growth, which will very quickly come.

Firstly no one is forcing you to invest in btc if you are some stupid idiot expecting to earn $1000's in a single day without any risk piss off.

I have had this feeling some time ago and I think many of us have had this feeling too. The fear of what is going to happen next always dominate our mind when ever we want to take good business decisions and the uncertainty surrounding the particular asset always make us to regret our decision. I think one has to know how think work in other to invest into bitcoin at the right time and this has been very difficult because we refuse to learn when to buy in other to make profits. Thank God your purchase at $14,000 now $17,000 and if you hold further bitcoin is going towards $20,000 before this year end.

I'm not so sure. For me a bubble is any asset whose value grows only by investing user. If bitcoin is used for trading and thereby stimulated the production I would change my opinion. But we still have a long way to go. We do not have unity of opinion within the bitcoin community and this can have a detrimental effect on the future of bitcoin.

And now the price is just hovering above $15,000 and I think you should not fell bad at getting it at $14,000. Yes, its definitely not a bad investment but it still has risk, we can't never predict where the price is really going. But don't worry personally, I think this madness will not stop until we see bitcoin hits $20,000, and because of all this financial institutions offering. And as far as the bubble being pop, historical data says that it can quickly recovered and even go further and establish new all-time-high. So you are still on the positive as far as profit, let's see how it goes on Sunday/Monday when CBOE officially offering bitcoin contracts, it may go either way, but I have a feeling that this bull run will still continue at the end of the year.

The only thing you should feel bad about is missing the extra profits by not investing earlier when it went up to 17k you could earn more profits. Other than that, you should never feel bad for anything like investing in Bitcoin or something, because you are eventually going to be in profit if you are a long term investor. We all know that the current situation is not permanent for sure, and Bitcoin cannot keep moving like this, but we also know that Bitcoin will eventually be of more value than today.

$14,000 does seem high but it’s 25% off the peak so it’s probably not a bad price point. You’re probably still going to make a big profit if you hold it for a year or more even if there is a crash.

My philosophy for Bitcoin and any major altcoins is don’t sell for a loss. You will probably be able to ride out any correction or crash if you can wait long enough. Bitcoin could crash and then rise back up to $100,000 in a couple of years, so you are better off just holding rather than selling.

bitcoin is never a bad investment, specially if you are thinking long term. now may not be the best time to buy though, unless you are day trading it.

more crazy is that all the people who didn't buy at $1200 and instead sold because someone said this is the end. and then $1200 went to $12000+ (10x)

it will eventually. maybe the current drop is the start of it, maybe some temporary drop. but it will drop eventually and will drop big. a good time to buy is by then before it recovers and goes back up.

It is not impossible, but you need to remember that it has been increasing a lot during the last few days, and that is not sustainable anymore.

You won't lose investing in bitcoin as the price on rally right now, it seems $20,000 by the end of the year may be achieved and not impossible at all.

Just look at the charts, do you really think that a big increase of more than four thousand dollars in just a week is reasonable? No, it doesnt, and that is the real reason of why it will drop a little.

But yes, if you have the chance to keep holding them for a week or so, then you are going to earn a lot if there isn't a correction during the next days or weeks.

Bitcoin continues to grow bigger as time goes one, gained value over $1000 within 24 hours, and people keep speculating it will fall, the bubble will pop and collapse, maybe someday but not anytime soon.
Current price is $17,431 on cmc, $16,310 on preev, $17,178 on Gdax, but it's $21,777 on bitcoin.co.id

With what is happening any drop should be following by buying as it seen many traders and investors has decided to keep on buying and few are ready to sell their holding. I was telling a friend today that bitcoin may get to $40,000 before middle of next year and he said that he wants to buy from the local exchangers who gave him a high rediculious price that he could not afford to risk.  I think holding make bitcoin price to go up.

It is not only your fear, currently everyone is worried and astonished about the rising value of Bitcoin. Such enormous growth is witnessed first time in the history of bitcoin and really no one could predict such high value in the last month of 2k17. Where everyone was expecting Bitcoin to reach 14-15k near New Year, it has already crushed the boundaries and setting up new benchmark.

Right now it seems that investors can do no wrong when it comes to bitcoin and they are duly rewarded very quickly after buying. There is a growing sentiment I feel in the community that such a thing cannot continue and there are beginning to be some pretty clear warning signs. There are huge profits to be made now for those who are brave but then if some others are right and a bubble is in play then those profits could quickly turn to losses.

But now that it has shot up to nearly $17,000 in just a few hours, it doesn't seem like too bad an investment!

Its crazy thinking that just last week i didn't want to buy at $10, or even $11k!

My only fear is that the bubble will pop with it increasing so quickly

This day bitcoin value reaches to the 14k this amazing actually. If you have saved the bitcoin for long time as small points value means you have to get the bitcoin in 20k only if you waits for some weeks or with in a month too... We are not sure about it.
bump will not burst out according to my knowledge because the bitcoin is decentralized money so no one will have control on it bro. It grows or fails it is upto the number of users going towards it.

This is a very normal feeling when it comes to any type of investments. Resistance is an inevitable feeling that would hinder you from earning. However, all are in the past now and we cannot undo what has been done. The important thing that would matter here is that you bought at 14k and now, you have an almost 3k of profit. It ain't that bad to feel bad right.

Investing in bitcoin at any time is proven to be the best investment. It is true that buying on top isn't recommended but the profit until now is guaranteed
It seems to me that now is not the time to buy bitcoins. This currency is increasing in price for a long time. It seems to me that at any moment can begin a correction. At the current price hikes this could be the biggest human tragedy. I think that bitcoin is gradually becoming a club of the closed type.

It is unreal, i really understand how are you feeling right now because the price is very over inflated right now, i am not talking about inflation. The price is unreal, it is like if some fairy tales have just created bitcoin to have a fictional price.

How much it is going to increase? This is very annoying for those who never had the opportunity to jump into this train, i am glad of this, specially because i am lucky to be in here.

Have you hear about Andreas antonopoulos? This guy received more than three million dollars worth of bitcoin today because he was the Leader of a lot of people, he introduced thousands of guys in here and he was broke.

Bitcoin is not in a bubble right now but current surge is quite risky to make an entry. If you have bought at $14k than you might consider yourself still safe but keep eye on market as price can also go below that level in next correction as price has increased by over 20% within 24 hour which is just too big and without any correction it can't move up in healthy manner.

Just don't sell your bitcoin even if there will be small correction in price.

Have you seen how magic bitcoin is? I bought the last bunch of bitcoins (aprox 0.20) when the price was $10000 each one of them.

I spent more than $2000 in that bunch, and now it is worth more than $3500 in just FOUR DAYS.

Have you seen how i made a profit of more than $1500 in just a few days? It is incredible guys, but the price is very pure fiction, i dont think that it will be stable, and less in these levels, it went up by more than $4000 just in less than 24 hours.

It is not stable, it needs to go down by a little.

If you feel bad about your investment initially, and suddenly think it's fine just because the price has gone up, you probably were better off not investing at all. In this case you're seeing the price go up, but what would you do when the price tanked to $12,000 suddenly? It seems that you invest into something just to be part of the rally, but with zero actual thought behind your actions. It's like gambling, but then in a milder form since you only lose with this once you sell at a loss. I think at this point the majority of the people nowadays act similar to how you invest in Bitcoin, which is a very dangerous practice.

everyday and everytime is a good time to buy Bitcoin absolutely,
of course it will be good if we're holding it for a long time not for a short time.
yes many people felt the same thing like you did and so i am.
but bear it in your mind,
this kind of movement caused by the news that we heard about a newly listing that will happen at Dec 18.
many people overyhyped it because of this and of course it's very fast to reach this point at this moment.
will the bubble burst ?
i am not really sure or i should say it's not the bubble yet,
because if we're looking at it carefully and value it from its usability and others,
i think its true price is far from it,
right now we're on the process, lately we heard alot about it.
like regulated exchanges in japanese, listing in cme group's and later on in Q1 listing in some place(i am not really sure about it,let see what will happen in the future after it get listed on CME group's) and many others.

if you're a true believer,
do not think to much about it and keep holding it.
i am completely sure that it will grow in the future even if the price goes to the ground tomorrow.
people always find a way to make a money,so it's not really surprising to see the price flying to the moon or drowning to the ground.
