wait!
cats must drink a special kind of milk and not the same that you use for humans (from cows), pay attention, try to search on google for this.

This is a nice thing for you to do to take care of this kitten. I remember we took in some abandoned kittens a long time ago and it was a nice experience to take care of them and raise them.

You must keep that kitten warm you can warm some blankets for him. He has to have good food and nutrition. And you can get him his shots from the clinic.

Anyone have any idea regarding what breed she might be? I think she is something mixed possibly. Anyways going to take her to the vet later today and will find out  Smiley

Yes I will do, have to buy a litter box. But already I think she has some idea that she can't poop anywhere. She always seems to poop on the same door mat which is a good start at least I think.
I think give it to her so that she'll be familiarize that it's a sign of her territory.

Well, let the vet finds out as there are a lot of guess that's on my mind but I'll just wait for what the vet will say. She's cute and if she grows soon, she'll be more cute and lovable and adorable.

Please take good care of her.

Thanks for all your prompt replies. I just wanted to give everyone an update. Sorry it wasn’t sooner, I have been a bit busy lately.
The kitten is doing really well, thanks to your suggestions. I initially gave her a bit of canned tuna in spring water which she was very happy to have. She has also taken a real liking to chicken which I give her raw. I haven’t given her milk yet. I read kittens need to have a special ‘cat’ milk and can’t really have cows milk. I still have to buy the formula for that. She is drinking plenty of water though. I was worried because she wasn’t going to the toilet, but last night she left a nice present on the welcome mat HAHA
Initially she was very scared and hiding in corners coming out only for food but now she is very playful as kittens are. I am going to take her to the vet tmw and see if she has been registered with an owner. If not I am planning to adopt her. I would never ever have imagined getting a pet but I am experiencing the joys of owning one right now and I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner… probably the money factor.  Grin

Nice keep Misty and you'll be happy taking care of her. The joy of owning a kitten and as you see it grow is there because time flies so fast and the growth is so fast too.

Teach her and talk to her on where she should poop, they're intelligent and will remember that you don't like seeing her poop everywhere.

try giving him milk, it is better, if it gets somehow healthy then try to give other thing that other people suggested you. it happened to me also. i pick up a kitten. it was so tiny and small. that it could not eat anything big or hard thing. the only and best option is milk.

I found a stray kitten just in my backyard. It's a public holiday where I live so nothing is open. I am wondering what I can do? What do kittens eat? It is relatively active with enough energy so I think it hasn't been too long since it has been separated from its mother. I am keeping a look out to see if the mother turns up. Nothing so far. I searched up on google and it said to try scrambled eggs and cooked meat. I might try the eggs. Any other suggestions?

Since you just saw it there are some information that would have been necessary such as knowing how old it's and if is local breed or foreign breed. But since this information are not there all you need is to buy milk if it it's sachet and water and keep it little warm like two table spoon find rubber that you can you to pressure it in it mouth but where you can't see rubber try plate after two to three weeks give debone fish.

Buy a cat litter mate or  if you have sand then put them in a a container that enough for them to poo and pee .

just search in Youtube about how to give them or teach them about pooing and peeing there are tutorial you can give them.

Since it is still a small kitten I suggest you try giving it some milk it will be the best option cause maybe it is not used to taking dry or solid food items at all.

It says that you can mix dry and canned food together i think cats at this age are still very sensitive to food particularly with it’s texture so i have found that you can adjust the food you give as they get older you can add warm water to dry food to get the right consistency

Or you can just buy the kitten appropriate cat food for their age well anyway a kitten is very cute and I am very curious to see how cute this kitten is! Glad that you picked this kitten up please do take utmost care of that little being

Please look after it bro, unfortunately the cat is still small and can't find food for itself. Because caring for a cat without a mother is a feeling of happiness for me if I succeed in going step by step until the kitten grows big and healthy.

If you feed it, it depends on the cat. Several times I have had kittens who were picky when eating, they didn't even want to be given dry food, they didn't want to be given wet food, when they were given tuna the cat would only eat but was still picky. Only the parts he likes are eaten. Finally the cat only wants to drink milk. Sometimes kittens are tricky but always fun. Maybe it would be better if you try giving him milk.

Im happy you took him. I have 8 cats and they are the best part of my life. Please, share a picture with us. I know that at this time maybe youve already gave milk to him, but just to let you know, its not good to give the milk we drink for them. They have to take a proper one.

Have a Milk bottle , maybe that kitten isn't ready for food yet so better to let her suck milk at least for a week or 2 before proceeding to solid foods.

can you send a Photo of her so we can check what type of cat she is?

will be happy helping you in this one.

You have shown love to so many kind hearted pets. If you want your kitten to get off to a good start in life feed her a nutritious balanced diet from the start. And this is exactly why he will start loving you. Give one pouch at a time of marketed kitten food. He will get his required calories vitamins calcium in one pouch. It contains small pieces of meat that are enough for its small teeth small mouth and small stomach.

Wet cat food or kitten formula for food. Is human milk okay? Make sure it has water, a cozy spot and keep an eye out for its mom. Even if you're not a cat person, helping out a stray kitten is just a kind thing to do. It ensures the little furball gets what it needs and might find a good home eventually.

milk

you can try minced fish. but dont spoon feed/force feed it fish.. it might not be ready... just have a plate and see if its ready to handle it, by licking the fish itself.

importance minced boneless fish on a dish as a option.
but milk as a definite

look around your neighbourhood. think about if you were alone why it approached your location.
is there a path that leads directly to your location which is why a cat did not end up going to a neighbours
find a logical route backwards from your location to a direction where the cat may have come from.

ask the neighbours if they seen a heavy(pregnant mother) cat in recent months. guess the age of the kitten to guess the months ago
have they seen a adult cat with some kittens of same age recently(the one you found being a lost sibling)

sometimes it might actually be that a neighbour or someone random had a cat that had kittens but too many so they took one and abandoned it near you on purpose
sometimes it might actually be that a neighbour or someone random had a cat that had kittens but the kitten went on a walk exploring neighbourhood and got lost

Try to give milk first.

As long as it's fed, it's not going to be a problem but if you can find the mother cat much better.

Nothing so far. I searched up on google and it said to try scrambled eggs and cooked meat. I might try the eggs. Any other suggestions?
I haven't fed my cats and kittens with egg. But if they like the smell and taste, they'll eat. That's how I fed my cats, usually even veggies if they like the smell they'll eat it.

But it's still little so give a taste of milk. I have a lot of stray cats and I love them but what saddens me is when they are already grown up, you can't control them and if they'd go, they'd go.
