Have you ever thought he possibly could by lying and is trying to sever ties with something that went south?
<>
Sure, they could have used his info without his permission or he's trying to cover his tracks but that should be clarified first before anything is removed. If he's innocent then his images probably should be removed, but not if he's involved and is just trying to scrape the info of a scam he was involved in.

Yesterday when I read this I was willing to bet it will turn out like this but I had no idea from what topic he wanted to remove the image.

So what we have here, a user that starts to delete posts from his own ICO page, that wants to erase pictures from another dubious dead ICO, who has also erased his picture from linkedin and his "experience" and who was an advisor in at least 3 other projects, and you can guess how the others ended.

How are we going to prove that he is not innocent?

Actually, in this case, it's he who must come with a really good story on how his image(s) was used without his permission on so many teams and how his profile is verified whatever that means on some ICO ratings websites. In the real world, yeah, innocent before proven guilty, in the crypto world, quite the opposite.

Oh, and funny...

OP clearly said he's not affiliated with the ICO,

And CSW said he is Satoshi so, we must believe him, because.....he said so!

Assume he is not innocent, and he gave the permission to use his image or whatever things. How are we going to prove that he is not innocent?
On the other hand let's say he is innocent, and he did not give any permission or even he did not have knowledge about it. Again, how are we going to prove his innocences?

I think we can not prove any of it.

The best imo is to hear what the user is asking. This is an account with not many activities. What could be his motivation to bring this issue to us until (1) he had any value for this account, or (2) he really is asking for something which he has not done by himself. I might miss something but if I am not then I will lean towards the second reason.

If you google them it looks like both COINHEALTH.IO and careparrot are related:

Conferenced in was Co-founder of CoinHealth, Joseph Lowe CEO of careparrot.com. Joseph Lowe and Michael Ryan have been talking about the past month and a half, about the CoinHealth project’s strategic direction and partnerships. We are excited to welcome Joseph Lowe. He will serve as Chief Strategy Officer at CoinHealth LLC & ICO project.

This looks convincing but if OP deny then how are we going to assume that he is lying?
We should not trust them (https://coinhealth.io/blockchain/team/) either.

Have they genuinely used your picture without permission or is it an ICO you no longer want to be affiliated with for whatever reason?
What kind of question you asking mate?, OP clearly said he's not affiliated with the ICO, so YES, they like genuinely used his picture and LinkedIn profile without he's permission, that ICO is clearly a scam one looking for persons to put on trouble.

He's wanting the image removed from COINHEALTH.IO here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.26754780

If you go back to his early posts he made an Announcement for something called CareParrot here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.43817291

Which he edited to remove all the info on December the 9th this year:

It is possible that the OP sold his picture or that he was at one point was affiliated with the ICO. This would be difficult from the ICO group never having permission to use the OPs picture.

He has no ability to move the thread since he was not the original poster of the ICO ANN. The ANN contains his image, and yet he's not affiliated to the ICO but the person who posted it has been inactive since. I think @PrimeNumber7 highlighted the most appropriate steps @Apollyon can take

Using images of other people that are not affiliated to the project is a sign of scam. I also suggest that OP creates a warning in the scam accusations sub-board against the ICO

Yes, I understood the problem description quite correctly Wink
As has been said, the topic belongs in scam accusations and not meta. Hence my suggestion to move the thread.
Not the fake [ANN] -> this one!
The procedure as described by PrimeNumber7 is of course fine. But also a "report to moderator" incl. suitable description should help.

Would you like to paste the link here? Or even better as was mentioned in the appropriate subforum. You could move the thread (bottom left) yourself.

I am not affiliated with an ICO and I want my pic deleted. The OP is no longer active and I've reported the post to an admin twice with no response.

Can a site admin please reach out to me so I can share the link?

How did you report the post?
By "Report to Moderator" button or by message to an admin?

Thanks.

But I file a complaint with DMCA when it is hyperlinked to my Linkedin page?

Or do I send it to the email link you posted?
As noted in the above instructions, you should complain to whoever is hosting the image in question for images. If there is other copyrighted material that belongs to you that has been posted, you can send a DCMA takedown notice to the email address found in the above link.

If someone is claiming you are part of a project you have nothing to do with, I would suggest opening a scam accusation regarding the fraud.

But I file a complaint with DMCA when it is hyperlinked to my Linkedin page?
That's the objective of a DMCA. Afaik, your personal image is automatically copyrighted and if it is used (especially in the manner you stated) without the permission of the owner it falls under infringement of the DMCA act. If it also contains a link to your LinkedIn page that should be another violation of intellectual property and another reason to file.

Or do I send it to the email link you posted?
Yes. Your complain should be sent there for a takedown consideration.

Per the contact page:
Quote
If you are complaining about an image located at ip.bitcointalk.org: That image is hosted elsewhere, and we are only proxying it from the original location in order to protect user privacy. You should not complain to us. In order to find the true origin:
Copy the ip.bitcointalk.org link
Paste it here and click decode.
Find the true URL in the middle of the decoded URL. For example, in https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http://imgur.com/asdf.gif&t=598&c=sBd1GnTFexXGZw, the true origin URL is http://imgur.com/asdf.gif. Complain to them.
Otherwise, send a properly-formatted DMCA takedown here. As required by law, you must include in your takedown notice at least:
Your full legal name and address
A description of the copyrighted material being violated
Links to the offending posts
An identification of the parts of the post containing your copyrighted material. In some cases we will remove only the offending parts of posts rather than the entire post.
A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Note that under the DMCA, the poster can send us a counter-notice to have the content restored.
