Yea, the ~700 BTC sounds weird, is this 700 BTC or 0.700 BTC? Someone with 700 BTC <$4 458 000> can hire a army of hackers with bot farms to attempt this.
Obviously he said he does not have the 700 BTC anymore, but he said it was not a lot, so I am guessing he has a lot more, if 700 BTC is not a lot to him.

It is quite likely that the OP had a smaller amount of bitcoin that they got scammed out of and that they tracked it to a wallet address with around 700BTC.

The OP never said that they had 700BTC - they said that the scammer address had 700BTC.
It is probably a large exchange wallet that the scammer sent it to and has already long ago been converted to another Crypto and withdrawn from the exchange.

With such an unreasonable idea it will only mean that you are a fraudster or you harbour the idea of being one. The best is for you not to be greedy you thought show a whole lots of greed in it. Go back make corrections to your errors check where you let your guard down

This is just simply not possible and it does not matter how many TONS of computers you have access to.

No one can enter an anonymous wallet and I don't think if there is, they will post information in public forums. Of course bad people can use the same information to hack innocent people's wallets.
Internet Mafias are so cleaver these days, they can use Bitcoin mixing services to cut the blockchain history. So they can use the money anytime they want. Authorities should also communicate with the Bitcoin mixing like services to catch frauds.

I know that FOMO is really a strong instinct, as a human we sometimes do become impractical when we feel a strong force that compels us to act before we think. the Fear Of Missing Out is something that we should consider when we see a very lucrative offer online, as people here have mentioned, the saying "if its too good to be true then it probably is." is really old but is still very valid in todays situation of all these scams on the internet.
No you are not dumb if you only followed your emotions its more of that you were not prepared and that you were GREEDY. Yes that is the term that you should understand that pushed you into being scammed. Greed is good only in games. In real life it can make you go bankrupt.
Another point that I could advise on in the future if anyone asks for your private key, is to NEVER, EVER give out. Its called private for a reason. Treat it like its your password, if you give it out, people can access your accounts, in this situation its your wallet with your money in it. Ask yourself this do you give out your password online? The answer should be no and that is how you should treat your private key.
This is a very interesting job to do. Yet as of now it is very hard to really crack the keys as it was made this way otherwise if it will be easy then security will be a problem and nobody else will be using cryptocurrency out of fear.
It's likely not scammed, you are likely got phished. S/he seems to get so many bitcoins by putting some ransomwares or viruses on your laptop so it can crawl all your data from 0 to 100.

I'm sorry that you lost your bitcoins, but I think that there is no way to crack the secret code. If the way to hack would be all would do so. Nobody would benefit from it, so that it could be hacked.
Yeah that's something that can be used on anyone if ever there's a way to do so. I mean, it'll be easy to say that your btc was stolen to this wallet address and have that wallet address cracked right? It's a security protocol that crypto is known for.

It's hard to recover, And in fact it's too late to regain it because there are so many series of no # and letters you need to match before you can get a private key. So do not expect that you can get it back. And it may be the reason for it to be especially careful and it will not be repeated again.

You and we cannot do anything about how to find out the hacker's private key. Cryptocurrency is created with crypto system so anyone cannot hacked or figure out the wallet key. And in the first place, how can you get hacked ? I am curious to know your 700btc story

I'm sorry for your lost, but I think it impossible to get back your address with breached that address, because we can see that the private key is the main key to open and access wallet, and the code of private key is encrypted, need many many years to find the right key with latest computer specifications right now
..if you really got scammed..then it is your fault..you should not give to any one your private key..many warnings are spread anywhdre that you should not tell anybody your private key..maybe you are just trying to get information on how to betrayed others by their innocence iin engaging into crypto..

No, if you can get his private key or you can access the hackers wallet, its mean you can hack all of peoples bitcoin wallet.

Give that dude the thing he deserve it's not a good work to scam someone. Doing things like that for me is just for weak so give hime the reward he deserves. Make him pay for what he do and at the same time your focus is to get your own back. Get back what is yours and teach that scammer a lesson he will never forget. When something advertises risk-free money, it's an obvious scam, why the hell would somebody need money when they know the bulletproof way to make money?

One thing i would like to hear from the OP is that, since he knows where the coin is, he must post the wallet address so that everyone can monitor, as everyone said, no one has hacked it, so what ever your plan is, that is not going to work and since you have that much amount of coins your should have known better.
A fully new account claiming to have had 500 btc, but possibility doesn't know enough space getting scammed. Also,I thinking you could do bad things with only 50 or more miners. You're going to need a lot more than that. That is sure 500 btc.

I think you need to look into the method of the scam and try to get a communication between you and him. There is no way you can hack it, so look at negotiating instead, perhaps using law enforcement as well.

Oh, it is too bad. I think you need to be more careful with your bitcoins as it is easy to lose money today due to a number of different schemes and people who want to get your coins in the dishonest way. You should hold it using a reliable purse

If there be any machine anywhere remotely possible to carry out what you are thinking, then there would be no bitcoin anywhere. What you are proposing could only happen in a Sci-Fi movie, and that would mean shutting out the electricity requirement of half of Chicago for that job.

Unless the attacker used brainwallet with a weak passphrase, a weak online wallet that is willing to cooperate or a bugged wallet with a flawed RNG, this cannot be done...

Quite simple: if anybody with a botnet of a couple hundred/thousand PC's was able to brute force any private key that results in a certain public key whose hash (the address) has been funded with a couple BTC, bitcoin would have been worthless by now, since in this case the security concept would have been flawed. The address space is 2^160, the private keyspace 2^256. It's basically impossible to bruteforce these keyspaces... It might sound like this is possible because the human mind just isn't capable of imagining the mere concept of numbers this big, in reality it is impossible.

I felt helpless and stupid at the same time. For Op, the earlier you started forgetting about it, the better it is to move on.

Very sorry for the great loss. To talk about you cracking somebody private key, i can say It may be "theoretically" possible, but in reality it's unlikely to be achieved. This is just like saying you can count the number of atoms in an office building, which is unlikely. In any event, if you can do so to somebodys private key then you can also scam people. and this could mean that bitcoin is not save.

You can find the private key for your address on that site. RawDog made a script that uses some secret hints - to speed up the process. Ask him.

Sorry to say but this is nearly impossible. If you can crack the private key of one public address, then you can crack other peoples address as well.
And that will mean bitcoin is not secure. Cryptocurrency is created with complicated algorithm, making it impossible to crack.

You can keep trying man. Maybe you will get it one day. Irreversibility is the word in crypto transactions. And wallet hacking is only possible of the owner looseguard or give out his mail, private keys or phrase. Otherwise any hacking attempt is only a joke. Lets learn and move on.

I got scammed out of my bitcoin. I have located the Bitcoin address where the ass hat is holding all of his/her/their coins. Its in excess of ~700btc. I would like to find a way to crack his the public key for the private key and then donate the coinage to ~700 random peeps in this community. I did not loose a lot but I'm way more talented that rich. And I have access to a server farm (in which I have permission to use unused resources - greater than 100 machines).

A new account claiming to have had 700 btc, but probably doesn't know enough hence getting scammed (assuming what you're saying is actually true). Also, thinking you could do bad things with only 100+ miners. You're going to need a lot more than that. Yeah sure 700 btc.
Agreed , this story does seem a bit out there. Someone that actually had that much money stored in bitcoin would surely be much more careful with their security.

It's almost impossible to do. Only if you are very lucky - you will be able to return your bitcoins. Sorry, but it's true

You cannot crack the private key of the scammer! I am very sorry for your loss, if its possible then no one in the world would be talking about Bitcoin as a store of value ( because it can be stolen ). However some think that quantum computers may one day be advanced enough to crack such keys. Any ways at this time they are at their formative stages. The most sensible thing that you can do is move on with your life and investing strategies also paying more attention to securing your crypto wealth!

Human mind is definitely capable of comprehending very big / very small numbers with proper training, it's just that most people never really thought about those numbers. For average joe "big number" is a billion or a trillion, so when they hear that you can technically bruteforce a crypto key, they think that there's a chance like in winning a lottery, and some even try to bruteforce something or mine Bitcoin with their CPU. We should just explain to them that those chances are actually like winning a lottery billions of billions of times in a row, this number is so close to zero that for any practical purposes is should be treated as zero.

Tough luck for you dude. No way anyone could tap into an anonymous wallet and I don't think if there'd be such, that they'd post the information in a public forum. Of course nasty people can use that same information to hack into innocent people's wallets right? And i'm sure there's no way for that now. It's a lesson learned the hard way, if that's what actually happened at all in the first place.
i think its impossible for you or for everybody to do that, everybody has their respinsibility for their own wallet security, you are not the only one who got a problem like this, i had also has a bad experience just like you, i couldnt do anything except to let it go, start it again from zero and more carefully in the future in the best choice that you can do

A server farm is useless, two server farms are useless, you will need computing power that doesn't exist on this planet to do that.
And even if it would, nobody would lend it to you for 700 BTC let alone for nothing.

cost to do that would quickly absorb all the benefits of doing this, so it is a futile attempt. Sorry bud, write off the loss and

Next time secure everything and be careful in every actions takens because even you put all securities in your wallet but your too careless its too useless.Some mistakes leads to trouble.
I am sorry for your loss. But I think its impossible to breach into his wallet. But you can investigate who is this person and help the community by posting his identity as a scam.

Unless the attacker used brainwallet with a weak passphrase, a weak online wallet that is willing to cooperate or a bugged wallet with a flawed RNG, this cannot be done...

Quite simple: if anybody with a botnet of a couple hundred/thousand PC's was able to brute force any private key that results in a certain public key whose hash (the address) has been funded with a couple BTC, bitcoin would have been worthless by now, since in this case the security concept would have been flawed. The address space is 2^160, the private keyspace 2^256. It's basically impossible to bruteforce these keyspaces... It might sound like this is possible because the human mind just isn't capable of imagining the mere concept of numbers this big, in reality it is impossible.
