Well not everyone is a scammer. Some people use pay pal like myself because they don’t have a bank account and that is all they have. I load mine with cash so maybe that’s why mine wasn’t reversible when I got scammed. I guess at the end of the day it all come down to trust. I have found people that will trAde bitcoin for pay pal. On Local.bitcoin.com people trade for pay pal but use a higher markup.
Usually scammer come here and try to trade though they usually failed to make any transaction here. Those who are legit do not try to trade their paypal here or any unknown person. They try to sell their paypal with their local people.  On local bitcoin if you have no reputation or small reputation then you might have no chance to trade on there. If you are able to trade then still local bitcoin require verification of you also the buyer of the paypal may ask verification document from you.

DUDE! i cant even understand what you are trying to imply?  Sorry for the not able to read your comment

I am sorry UserU but this is not true and it's a bit dangerous to say.
A malevolent user could split a payment on 10000$ in 10 or more micro payment and this will not avoid a double spending or any type of protection.

As I have told it depends the service that you're using since there is any standard related USD$ amount, and https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/confirmations/ has just provided some suggested limit.
There is any connection between FIAT equivalent that you are moving in btc.

Just as E.G. as I have just explained:
https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/203325283-Cryptocurrency-deposit-processing-times
Kraken accept a deposit after 6 confirmations (around 1 hour) independently the amount you are sending to this exchange.

Quote
For example, on the Bitcoin blockchain, a block is mined on average every 10 minutes, and Kraken only credits Bitcoin deposits to a client’s account after 6 confirmations, which takes approximately 60 minutes.

However, sometimes it can take Bitcoin miners 30 or even 60 minutes to mine a single block (1 confirmation). This is outside of Kraken's control.

or Houbi accept:
https://huobiglobal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001155932-How-Many-Block-Confirmations-does-Huobi-Global-Require-Why-Hasn-t-My-Deposit-Been-Credited-After-Confirmations-
Quote
1 confirmation for being credited, 3 confirmations for successful withdrawal.

As you can see depends from the service that you're using and this is not linked with amount of money that you're using (we are trading bitcoin not fiat, it means that in a crash pump or dump these limits become totally non-sense) .

Thanks for clarifying, then it's my mistake. I'll edit my previous post to avoid confusion.

(or even 6-8 confirmations it depends the service you're using).

Normally those are for involving a larger amounts of payments.
Payments with 0 confirmations can still be reversed! Wait for at least one.
One confirmation is enough for small Bitcoin payments less than $1,000.
3 - Enough for payments $1,000 - $10,000. Most exchanges require 3 confirmations for deposits.
6 - Enough for large payments between $10,000 - $1,000,000. Six is standard for most transactions to be considered secure.
60 - Suggested for large payments greater than $1,000,000. Less is likely fine, but this is to be safe!

Probably these are the real owner of the accounts that make this claim and receive money back after they recognize to have been scammed.

Yes and the sender use hacked paypal/credit card info/bank account. There are many people who steal these types of information via classified ads.

Bitcoin is also reversible before 1 confirmation. Till now I saw only perfect money is irreversible. Anyway, crypto is yet still best but for btc need at least 1 confirmation. For other crypto need to check how many confirmation is needed for approved. Once confirmation complete then there will have no option to make reverse.

of course, 0 confirmation need these input can be used again "double spends attack".
this is why before a btc payment is "confirmed" people accept as convention at least 1 confirmation (or even 6-8 confirmations it depends the service you're using).

Paypal is ALWAYS reversible as any other service that use a Credit Card since any user can claim a "chargeback".

Ok so what about Venmo? Like I said, everything is reversible besides bitcoin at a certain level. That doesn’t mean it’s easy to reverse. I know this much. I tried to reverse a friends and family payment a year ago when I got scammed. Pay pal told me I was screwed. So there is your reversible right there.

For example you cant find out this transaction now as it has been reversed. Though on coinbase it is still showing pending.

I haven't used venmo, so I have no idea about venmo. If there is any chance to be reversed then it will be better not to trade with someone whom you do not know/trust.

Wait, FnF is still reversible? Why do I see so many sellers still actually choosing this option, if your 5 points could still be used for non-FnF?
Yes,  as I mentioned in these way the people who are fraud can reverse the payment. Even almost maximum time it will be auto reverse without any dispute (for fnf payment there is no dispute option), but when they create dispute via bank or credit card issuer then paypal will create dispute on behalf of the bank or credit card issuer. Many people choose fnf option as---
1. Maximum fee is 4.99$ from usa paypal to other
2. Many people do not know it is reversible if receive by fnf
3. it does not hole 7 days or 21 days or something like this.
4. Fee deducts from sender
5. Only fraud people can reverse. General public cant reverse.
6. There is no dispute option. There might have more reason.

I'm inviting you to start investing in crypto with Voyager. Download the app and trade $100 to get $25 of free Bitcoin.

Use code GLEH78 or this link to claim your BTC:

You need to stop with your spam mate. You have even sent me a PM about this. If I see it again, I am going to report you to the mods. Better take it as a warning.

You are wrong either knowingly or unknowingly, paypal is reversible it is not a fact how you are sending (fnf or service). The reversible might happen for several reason. Such as--
1. Hack paypal account
2. Stolen credit card
3. Report via credit card issuer
4. Report via bank (now it cost 20$ additional from the receiver. That means for this 300$ transaction receiver will loss 320$)
5 There might have many more----------

If anyone out there wants to trade me 300 usd for btc let me know. We must use escrow from trusted member on this site. I’m a newbie but trying to change that. Thanks.
Paypal is reversible, so there is no escrow who can accept paypal as escrow. And also at the same time as it is reversible and you are a newbie in this forum, I wish no one  will take paypal from you. It is too much risky.

I have Venmo also. But besides wiring money from a bank the only thing not reversible is btc. But friends and family isn’t reversible as far as I know. Thanks for the kind reply.
