Litecoin is a good coin and for now it's quite cheap, I think investing in Litecoin is a worthwhile investment.
XRP is a centralized currency and it is not welcomed by investors, do not believe the words about banks accepting XRP.

I think that cheap is not the proper word of factor to look at when investing in cryptocurrency. First, you dont have to buy a whole coin a token. For example if you buy an altcoin for $5k that cost $5k and get a 10% profit, and if you buy for $5k an altcoin that cost 1 cent and get same 10% profit, the profit you get will be identical. Second - take Bitcoin for example, its price is way greater than Litecoin, yet people still get profit from it.

If I were to choose between Litecoin or Ripple, I would buy Litecoin. Even though I dont follow that altcoin much (lets say Litecoin has a neutral reputation for me), but I notice only negative in connection with Ripple.

My $ 5k would choose to buy ethereum and litecoin, I would not bet on ripple. because for me the current ripple is not very good as an investment. choose a high-priced token that will be good as an investment option

There are some truth to it as some of the banks were using their platform but the lawsuit forced some of their business ventures to back out and it is highly likely they will get involved with them again.

I would prefer to choose Litecoin over Ripple. I used to be an XRP fan but I was too disappointed when they faced lawsuits that ruined their reputation. I believe that it's now too risky to invest in it because of its status. I would rather choose a potential coin with a good reputation for years and LTC is a good choice.
If i had the option i would skip both, the lawsuit can be made against any coins in the market that raised money during the ICO and it is the risk you have to take as an investor and we might see more lawsuit from the SEC in the future and XRP might be the start.

It is difficult to bet on investing for a currency like XRP after those porblmeas, it is not the same to trust, LTC is something else, however when comparing both currencies I get:

Source: tradingview.com

Both charts show a certain similarity between them, there may be a correlation, but there is a part where LTC has more rise than XRP, for now if I had to choose between those two cryptocurrencies I would choose LTC.

LTC presents a better omen despite the market movement with Bitcoin, XRP due to the problems it has had, the fall was reflected, that is, internal problems if they influence the level of market speculation. You could say that LTC is a cryptocurrency that has been somewhat undervalued, it is a good time to invest.

Don't waste your $ 5k investing in Ripple, because I really don't recommend investing in Ripple for now. Since Ripple is having unresolved SEC issues,
it is very risky to invest in Ripple right now. Litecoin is better than Ripple, because Litecoin's performance is pretty good this year and Litecoin can still
grow again. Although there are still many other altcoins choices that are much more profitable in my opinion. I recommend investing in Cardano,
Ethereum and Binance Coin. The three altcoins perform better than Ripple and Litecoin, or you can spend $ 5k investing in a few coins. By investing
in more than one coin, it is much more effective to get maximum profit.

Litecoin is more preferable than Ripple. Both have the same attribute if it's for transaction but being plain as an investment, to me, Litecoin is a better choice that we can have.
That's the reason why XRP's price went down and I think if the time they settle it, everyone will see it starting to back and go up again. Litecoin is one of the oldest yet still there at the top list which we can say that it had went through a lot but remains at the top.

Xrp is in a very uncertain state and it has been completely manipulated coin, cases are being delayed constantly. You can wait a long time to profit from this coin.litecoin did not perform well in this bull season, maybe it may.

My advice would be to follow the general trends in the market. Like defi and nft

Litecoin is a very good coin, though I think it is underrated. I hardly see anyone mention Litecoin when they are mentioning their top favorite altcoins that they have invested their money in, they just call other altcoins and leave Litecoin. Since 2017 I have steady invested in Litecoin and it’s been on the list till now. It’s going the way I want it to, although there are times it can still fall to a direction I don’t expect, which is a normal thing with every cryptocurrency, but I am okay with it. I believe that we are yet to see the top price, even with BTC and some other altcoins.

Hence compared to XRP, I will support you to go with litecoin. XRP's fate is yet to be decided by SEC. If I were you, I will not risk my hard earned money with XRP at this time.

Never go for ripple, it's just a crap with so many coins in circulation. Litecoin is a good option to invest. Market is still at its peak, i suggest to wait for a while. Market always take correction after such massive bull run.
- Maybe you have a lot of negative feelings about ripple, I understand that ripple has created a lot of bad reputation but overall, it is not quite too bad in the crypto market when at least it is still the solution to cost savings, sometimes it still creates big profit leaps for investors who stick to it, its recent cases are probably just a handful of flaws or this is an advertisement to stand out. However, ripple and litecoin are still just options for holding, if not wanting to hold, many altcoins can surf like bitcoin or ethereum, very consistent with the purposes of this topic

OP these altcoins had ATH years ago because their price in relation to bitcoin was much higher than the price it has today in relation to bitcoin. In comparison to what price increases altcoins had in relation to bitcoin from January 2018 to March 2021, you will notice that the price of bitcoin was the only one that had a big increase and caused altcoins to have this big price increase in relation to USD.

about XRP Is something that most agree is a waste of time and waste of money investment

About Litecoin, Is the same thing that I said that altcoins are not increasing prices a lot in relation to bitcoin

the only particularity in my opinion is ETH that could increase a lot of price in relation to bitcoin in the future, currently the price of ETH in relation to bitcoin is at 0.03 BTC, but has the potential to reach 0.10btc

BTC and ETH and BNB and some other altcoins are excellent investments, XRP Is the worst investment

I always suggest people to have Bitcoin but since you are not going to hold I would suggest ADA. I am not a financial advisor or guys like them but lately ADA has many news around and you can trade using the trend. You can check youtube about the technical analysis although most of them are their own way of seeing the markets.

There are no certain result of getting the result 100% but I think TA helps to understand the risk.

The litecoin is also a potential coin but it is not gives you more profit because the real coin who will gives a more money is the ripple this is for me. The price of the XRP is low now and after few years it will become hundreds this year 2021.

Your capital is really big and I really like if you are invest the half to the ripple and the rest is the litecoin which will gives you a confident what ever you choose between the two you will earn from it.

Ripple shows How strong their platform is and how strong their community is.Look how they Manage to stay on the line while the Biggest case they can ever face is on their doorsteps?
and look how consistent the position of Ripple , holding the 7th position after everything bad told against them and after attacks right and there , yet not enough to make this coin brings back to 20 cents value .
now this getting to 50 cents again and there's some talking that it can reach 1$ sooner.

Have those potentially rising coins like eth, litecoin, ripple and of course btc that's leading of all cryptocurrencies nowadays. We can't trust new comers who didn't have a good assurance to become profitable in the next few months. Mostly these tokens won't sustain and eventually cash down after being launch on different exchanges. Though there's some controversial news behind xrp and other following coins, but that's just a part of fake news and negative thoughts.

First of all, this depends on how much risk you will be able to bear with $5000.

The ROI in the crypto market is definitely greater than the traditional stock market this year. Considering the key factors of each bull market in the past, we’ve seen that Bitcoin always leads the rise of other cryptocurrencies, and continues to rise after breaking its previous high, the remaining mainstream cryptocurrencies follow the Bitcoin bull together.

Compared to other non-mainstream cryptocurrencies, since Bitcoin has already led the rise for a long period of time, the growth potential of BTC in the future is relatively small.

The potential rewards ranked by ATH indicator are as follow:

XRP ( 712.98% ) >LTC ( 106.49% )

If we only consider the top 10 mainstream cryptocurrencies, the ranking would be:

BCH > XRP > XLM > LTC > LINK > BNB > ADA > DOT > ETH > BTC
https://www.quora.com/I-have-5k-to-invest-should-I-buy-Ripple-or-Litecoin-I-do-not-want-to-hold-on-to-this-investment-for-more-than-a-year
it seems very risky to invest in xrp right now because we don't know what the future of xrp will be after the current problems, it's better if you think again about your plan to invest your money in xrp and better if you choose some other altcoins that do currently has a positive trend such as BNB, BTC, Inch and ethereum.
investing certainly has risks, but if we force the money we have on a crypto project that is indeed in trouble, of course it is just suicide.

Why only these two? There lots of other potential altcoins for getting quick profit, while ripple or litecoin both are slow in growth. You're holding a smart amount so pick at least 10+ projects. Since it's bullish market you will make good money by picking DOT, BNB.
It looks like OP was a believer in the major coins but i do agree with your opinion and there must be additional assets to be used as another choice. Litecoin is having slow development progress while ripple still stuck with its legal battle with SEC. I will not even pick one from these coins.
I think that it's better if OP will try to choose a coin like AVAX or some coins below top 10 CMC. DOT and BNB already overvalued at this moment dude.

if you wanna short-term trading, don't choose Ripple or Litecoin, every traders said that both of them are really hit the bottom these days, so it's not gonna be
a wise choice if you have 5k and wanna invest in both of those coin.
well, the choice is yours, i hope that you can earn many profit in your decision, cheers !

From the perspective and opinion of this thread myself, I can conclude that many doubted XRP after the FUD incident last year. Until now, other Cipto preferences have been used as a benchmark for investment.
indeed for now many people choose other altcoins that are fundamentally good and do not experience problems with the law. so I also think that you can choose LTC as your investment preference

If you do care about the fuds and you are aiming to invest with long term perceptions,

keeping LTC is one good deceiison as this coin are moving along with Bitcoin trend, while

with XRP with such fuds and an ongoing case from SEC, the future is hard to predict, better

to look for another or if you have that spare and you are willing to take the ride, taking it

for short to mid investment might bring you results that you are aiming.

because what he thinks right now is the best altcoin that could be the two coins, even though you might ask why only two, even though we know today, there are many potential altcoins that can be used as investment.

I agree, if you have large funds, you will certainly choose potential altcoins, which are now quite a lot even touching ATH. but if the funds are not clear, only a few are in accordance with the amount of funds available and can get a large amount, then an inexpensive price will be chosen but the marketcap is very good.

if the funds are large enough, you can choose BNB, DOT, LTC, LINK, but if there are not many funds, it is clear that XRP, XLM, ADA can also be used as options for investment. now is when altcoins are increasing so there is no need to be afraid to invest altcoin.

I’d have to say none of the choices, XRP has a lot of issues and Litecoin is not a good coin to invest in too. I’d rather invest in probably BCH or DGB instead, for long term hodling.

That's true and lawsuit of SEC on XRP might be solved soon. But previous co-founder of Ripple is now selling of his parts and that's why XRP can't pump for the selling preasure. BCH community divided after some years which isn't good for the hodlers and it might pump as long as bitcoin is on the bullish rally. BTW, is there any good news regarding DigiByte as it's only half way to make a new ATH? TBH, alts are good for now and profit out whenever we're on profit instead of hodling.

As for Ripple, I fully agree with you, because the SEC case has kept the coin completely in place and made investing in it a big risk. However, when it comes to Litecoin, I wouldn't say its price increase is slow. During the year, it increased by 300%, it may not be the rate of DOT or BNB, but the stability of growth is also important for investors, not only pump and dump.

I think the problem with these two major coins right now is that their value is undervalued compared to the present. In the case of XRP it is exceptional because it has many other side issues, I think LTC will be bullish again soon, but honestly these are not my preferences for this market. I do not spend too much time learning or analyzing everything, I only care about the things I like, my favorite altcoins right now are DOT and ADA.

I would never compare Litecoin and XRP together to other coins and say they are both undervalued. Litecoin perhaps yes,,, but utility cannot compare to Bitcoin as a payment, but fine, there are people who use it.

XRP? Tell me one person you know who pays with Ripple for pizza or even things on this forum.

DOT and ADA even less!

If you claim that BCH is better for investing than Litecoin, then I'm afraid you probably have no idea about these coins. This is not a BCH thread, so I'll just skip the criticism. There are coins that I think have more potential than Litecoin, but it's definitely not BCH. Answering this thread's question, I would definitely choose Litecoin from between XRP and LTC.

100 zillion percent litecoin if those are your 2 choices.  Xrp is going to be riddled with legal issues and the fact that there is a core group who own most of the ripple coins.  What happens if they bail?? Will the demand be able to absorb it.  Litecoin is a nice safe play and historically speaking the price is definately right.  I can see litecoin hitting .005-.0075 which is nice push from here.

Because of their issue with SEC, they are not a good and safe choice, but if that issue is not existing I could pick Ripple easily, Ripple could have reached $1 to $5 if not for the SEC issues if you have an appetite for high-risk investment, pick Ripple it's a better choice than a new coin if only I can figure out if they can win their case I will buy because if the court favors them they will have a huge pump, the biggest pump ever.
They do have that issue, it is not like we can rewind time and remove all of that problem and get rid of SEC and invest afterwards, it is always there and we can't change that. Which is why XRP is not a good coin to invest. If someone wants to invest 5k into something, I would say invest into 5 things, that way you could invest into good projects, however if you "do not want to hold" that will be a bad idea and you will lose money, it is like the riskiest thing in all of crypto, if you can't wait that means you can't profit and you will be losing a lot of money.

I personally feel like you should pick 5 good coins that has no issues and wait few years in order to make a good amount of return, otherwise there is really nothing you could do to make profit in few weeks alone, that is not an option, it would be very risky and you will probably lose money because of that risk.

I like Litecoin myself, but if you're not willing to hold, then you shouldn't be entering the market now at all. Maybe wait for this bubble to burst before deciding what to go in, but you're only able to look at hot defi coins now and buying them for profit.

But personally, you're better off depositing in a casino and gambling. Cause that's essentially what you're doing if buying not for holding.

well, if the choice only between xrp and litecoin, for sure i will choose litecoin rather than xrp my friend
a lot of of issue coming to xrp, so its better to stay away from xrp
I will do the same as you.  After the SEC lawsuit there was nothing to hope for from ripple.  As long as the XRP development team hasn't been able to win a lawsuit from the SEC, All traders will stay away from XRP, we never know if this will be the end of the XRP journey, until recently, ripple began to be abandoned by trader.

There is no doubt that when it comes to risk, Litecoin is a much better choice. The future of XRP price depends on how the SEC lawsuit ends, and that doesn't look very good. Certainly, the price of Litecoin is much more stable on the market and buying it will involve much less risk.
- Ripple really is facing very serious challenges and even if it can overcome this event, the community will hardly continue to trust it again, therefore considering holding as a potential altcoin is irrational with ripple, while litecoin has a lot better than ripple, it doesn't have a lot of bad news and is still moving in line with bitcoin's speed, the chances of going high are still enormous. But over time, both of these altcoins have become outdated compared to new altcoins, pouring a lot of money into them will not be able to maximize profits, investing in new options will bring more breakthrough factors

I will use $3500 to invest in bitcoin and trade it, so I can have the opportunity to make a profit in USDT or bitcoin. I will use $1k to invest in Litecoin and use $500 to invest in XRP. If somehow, I can have a profit in USDT, I will buy more Litecoin pair USDT or if the profit is not too big, I will allocate the money to XRP. Maybe that is not a good idea regarding XRP, but @OP mentions those two coins. If @OP has the other coins to invest in, I will search for more options to invest in that coin.

Where's the 712.98% come from? That looks like a made up number especially if it doesn't give the original value.

Like mentioned, I'd stay away from xrp if you can. Litecoin is like beta testing for bitcoin so feel free to invest in that and wait for a better fork there that's yet to come to bitcoin.

Aside from that, if the best growth was previously in bitcoin, why are people not going to keep investing in that for a while? It's still the most well known and the most secure.
It is about ATH indicator, XRP is at a such low level compared to what ATH was and most coins increased their ATH as well, bitcoins was 20k now it is at 50k and eth was 1500 or so and peaked at 2k or so basically this means if XRP increased like everyone else it should be somewhere between 4 dollars to 7 dollars and that kind of calculations has been around for a very long time. Doesn't mean it is right, as you can see from the prices it shows that nothing like that happens and it is not really a true indicator, but it is something people still do anyway.

I believe they are "made up" in the sense that people see a number and make a calculation so it is not 100% made up but it is made up because who says that calculation will be true? Nobody.

well, if the choice only between xrp and litecoin, for sure i will choose litecoin rather than xrp my friend
a lot of of issue coming to xrp, so its better to stay away from xrp

There are still plenty of altcoins that are highly profitable.  why are you only targeting tiru for XRP and LTC.  XRP has in fact been an outcast coin, while Litecoin has never shown any certainty in terms of user value.  You can see how ADA or Dot has exploded, ETH or BNB is also creating exciting and scale battles.  I agree that with the above four options, it would be more satisfactory than xrp or ltc.  $ 5k is perfect for these 4 powerful altcoins.  Also, the rule of business is that cannot be a single option for all of their funds.  Please ensure minimum risk.

Maybe in reality what you say is something that must be understood because there are many problems that have not been resolved. but if the problem can be resolved it will certainly be different what you say. even though we do not cover the fact that Litcoin is also a good coin but have never experienced something like XRP which is always hit by many things but can still exist and is still among the best ranked coins.

This indicates that there are still many who believe that they can solve the problems they face, because there are still many investors who still hold the XRP coin and the marketcap itself is quite good and even better than Litecoin.
For investment, I still prefer XRP because the value is not high. If there is a problem, there will be less loss compared to Litecoin, which is quite expensive.

The $ 5000 capital is very large, so do not carelessly choose coins for investment. If I had to choose between Ripple or Litecoin, I would go
for Litecoin without a doubt. Because as we all know this year Ripple is going through a lot of problems, so it is very risky investing in Ripple.
Don't because you want to get big profits, you avoid not investing in Bitcoin. Because with a capital of $ 5000 if the price of Bitcoin goes up slightly,
the profit should be quite large. Don't because you are greedy, you prefer altcoins which are much more risky. My advice is to stick to 50% investment
in Bitcoin and the rest can buy a few altcoins. To be sure, don't buy Ripple for now. I recommend buying ETH, ADA, DOT and BNB.

Are you sure going to put your 5K money into XRP?
I personally will stay away from it, my funds are still stuck in this coin, and no more trading or investing at this.

Well, if you are not going to invest or hold, you may diversify your 5k into several top coins.
So far, besides BTC, I personally play most funds on ETH, DOT, ADA, and also SXP for trading, they have a significant range between the low and high price in daily trading.
But, why aren't you interested in Bitcoin? This is the trusted for any trading or investment. I do think that BTC is the first priority in crypto  Grin

i dont think it would be a smart move to invest in xrp this time. their ongoing lawsuit is not going away anytime soon. if you are going to choose between xrp or ltc, definitely, i will advise you to opt for ltc. but it is the OP's money, so at the end of the day, it is his decision here.
but he needs to weigh his options here, the pros and cons. also, why not BTC? as Rengga Jati asked here also. with BTC, you know for sure, there is solid market for this. and if not, diversify your portfolio with valuable alts. i think it is not good time to select xrp in your portolio. just my 2 cents here.

If you will rely on your indicator and stat that you provided Ripple is a clear winner between the two, but you also need to understand the risk attached to investing in Ripple, the SEC issue will haunt them and follow them one bad decision and Ripple will crash and if you are not too quick to sell you are going to lose your investment, Litecoin is a safe investment and between the two Ripple is centralized, that puts him in a bad light in the community.

You do not want to Hold but you are asking here in crypto market ?

What you want instant profit ? lol there is nothing like that here , Because if that is your attitude then what you get for sure is instant losses.

Yes there is a chances that the coins will go up mooning in a matter of time or day but how to find those are the riskiest and hardest part of investing.

Remember that you can Earn or you can lose here , it is depend on how lucky and knowledgeable you are , but since you are asking the whole community ? i'm sure you have not that Knowledge i am mentioning.

If you made a good amount as a investment, you will get better profit from it. If 5000$ investing in a standard or stable coin. It will give you a good return. If you don't want to hold your investment more than a year, you may choose of bitcoin and Ethereum. This two coins will appears like a star in a sky. When the rise in bitcoin will impact the rise in the price of bitcoin. Then you will get the profit for sure.

If you dont want to hold, then use your money to a real case bussiness rather than investing.
For doing investment you need to hold it for a while before you take the profit from it, if you want to do investment my suggestion is EOS.
The project and the community are solid also the technical analisis in the chart looks so promising at this time.

Of course I chose to invest in Litcoin over Ripple because Ripple is having such a serious problem that many big exchangers have removed Ripple from the list it is very bad news different with Litcoin litcoin always looks good have no problem although prices are slowly rising the most important thing is certainty

Personally I would never waste money on a pesky coin like Ripple, because nothing can be expected from RXP. After getting a lawsuit from the SEC, ripple is starting to be abandoned by crypto users because until now there is no sign that it will win the lawsuit from the SEC. There are still many other coins that have good potential besides ripple, So, stop talking about ripple as it's a waste of time.

If you like to play with fire, go with Ripple, but I suggest to don't invest a lot as it could dump really hard if they lose in the case. Litecoin is a good investment, there's no legal problem with this coin and IMO it has a great future, so just try to decide based on the basis you can read.

Read about this news before you decide to invest on Ripple.

BTC future growth is relatively small? Are you not mistaken for bitcoin growth? how can you explain with just a few paragraphs while we are just the opposite. where bitcoin is increasingly scarce, its growth is increasingly irreplaceable. and the price is getting higher.
XRP? still hesitant to go in and hold it too long. I like and believe the coins you mentioned, but not for XRP. isn't XRP currently unable to restore the confidence of investors who already feel cheated by its growth?

The two are good to buy if you wish to but litcoin is the best to purchase right now because it can increase at anytime for investors to make a good income from their Investment. Litcoin is still developing some attitude's is of profit making than ripple which is not ready to show any signs for the investors to believe that there is still hope in 2021. Since the price of litcoin is more lower than bitcoin which is still in $48k,is not advisable to buy bitcoin now than to hold until it hit $100k before you can release them for sale.
If you invest $5k on litcoin right now, there is a benefit waiting for you at the end of the investment because you make a right choice.

Almost everyone on this forum would agree with me that ripple is a shit coin. There's no point investing in such coin because of the high risk involved and which means there's a very high possibility of losing your funds.
Litecoin is built on the bitcoin blockchain and so you may invest in that.
You should, however, know that the best form of investment in the crypto world is to invest in bitcoin. There's no way you'd lose out on that. Just hold for some time instead of wasting time analyzing which coin has the potential to increase in value

i want to assume you know how to trade, you can buy or trade what you dont want to hold. trading is a mini-holding because sometimes you hold for some days before you make a profit or breakeven. its not a magic, you just to either hold or dump at loss if otherwise happens. there are many potentials coins better than ripple and litecoin. try to restrategize especially on your decision of not wanting to hold.

This thread is simply tell people to invest their money on top 10 coins based on rank. Nothing special on here and we don't even know where is 700% & 100% expected profit comes from XRP & LTC once we invested on these coins. DYOR DYOR DYOR and DYOR because your investment could be dropped too.

Why didn't you put gamble in your title if that was your intention?

Stay away from XRP (Ripple) crap. It's not even cryptocurrency. It's a centralized manipulated coin. If you want to go with BCH and BSV crap then good luck but I do not think many people will recommend it.

Nobody can't deny that XRP is crap token based on its usability but in terms of profitability, This token is a monster considering the amount of supporters of this crappy token. $XRP shows a good price pump last bull season even though it has an ongoing case against SEC. I'm sure that this token price will explode once they will receive good news from SEC.

But still this is a pure gambling because there's no guarantee that they can win against SEC.

Bitcoin maybe having a roller coaster ride. Let it stable a bit then invest in it. Investing in bitcoin will be the safest for you. And if you have no knowledge and experience about trading then do not buy any altcoin. It's a gamble in this case.
