That's the "only" "forum" that pays users to post... In the beggining it's strange, but you start to think and it's ok, it's a good way to advertise since here's the major btc community and where you can find the most active($$ move) users...

Here's another thread in which the OP is enrolling members to post "for a new bitcoin forum", yet the rates are rather low by the bitcointalk standards (~0.0002BTC per post). I don't know the new forum's name, though. But there can be only one...

And you already know its name

The signature campaign is the cheapest and effective way of advertising among their target audiences .
Infact higher the posts across section make it more simpler and easier for the advertisers to get visibility and promotion of their site.

In Memory of Zepher
someone have 5-10 accounts and he have no time care about what he is advertising, but keeping post. to get paid.
and for this situation .  adv on this forum is really expensive.
am I right?
Probably. Keep in mind however that there are still a great number of actual users (not account farmers or spammers) to see your ad.

most sig campaigns should have a few basic rules
1. some method of communicating abuse of spammers to the sig campaign manager to void their reward
Most signature campaigns do have this. The problem comes that certain campaigns don't, which are usually the ones with the lowest quality members.

2. highlighting the content of peoples posts should require relevance to the topic and an actual meaningful reply
This could be difficult as what is 'meaningful' can differ due to personal interpretation. While I do agree with you, the result of this would likely differ per campaign (therefore making some more attractive to spammers than others).

3. not spamming a particular category or topic
I can't say I agree with this. I post in the topics that I do because it is what I am most knowledgeable with. I think quality posts in said sections would be better than posts with little value in others.

In my opinion, a lot of "legitimate" users would come to post sporadically if they weren't paid by advertisers
Absolutely. In fact, I expect that a few could start to re-emerge due to the absence of 3/4 of spammers. Not everyone here posts solely for signature payments, just a vocal group.

Actually it's pretty cheap for latest auctions. You could buy one slot for 0.35 BTC if you bid first. See here.
It's very affordable if you want to show your ad to 100k unique, 1m total users.

In fact, it is not the only forum where users get paid for posting. Just within a month I've seen at least two forums inviting users to post for money and a blog paying for comments. I don't see any problem with this as long as campaign managers are checking the post history of an applicant before adding him to the list of the signature campaign participants as well as keeping a keen eye on who posts what afterwards...

there are a lot of siganture compaigns , which need you to post at least  xxx posts a week to get paied

so you will find there are always some kind man to reply your topic.

but for the site owner , or the adv owner it is no good
All sites owners monitor how their campaign is working. So, if it is not working for them, they'll stop running one. No one is forcing them to run one. We have nothing to worry about that.

someone have 5-10 accounts and he have no time care about what he is advertising, but keeping post. to get paid.

and for this situation .  adv on this forum is really expensive.
If advertising on this forum were really expensive and were not justified by the return, then ad slots were left unsold. It has never happened in last 180+ auctions that have taken place. That means, the expensive slots justifies their price.

maybe you would want to set rules for the campaign participants for your potential clients to be targeted. if its about girls like what i can see. then maybe you can require your signature participants to post on threads related to porn and bitcoin if possible

I don't know where you're getting your data,if those signature campaign are not that successful, then it would have been stopped a long time ago, some altcoin and services with signature campaign, can prove to you that signature campaign is one of the best form of advertisement online.

I think it worth the investment since advertises can control the payment per post... Just don't know how many clicks this kind of advertise get...

edit: and well, some posts have thousand of views, just for "5k satoshi", isn't that bad...

i myself have reported a few spammers to their sig campaign manager and i have not felt guilty about doing so, due to it being completely obvious the poster is not adding any relevant replies to topics.

the only issue i have found is that the more scammy the service advertised is, the less the sig campaign manager cares about how its posters are posting/spamming.

I am a moderator on another forum, and I can tell you, it is very difficult for forum owners to retain members on a continuous basis.

People get bored quickly, and they move on to the next hip thing. The advertisers want maximum exposure for their product or service and

the higher the traffic, the better for them. The added bonus for the companies on here, are that they are getting targeted advertisement.

They get Bitcoin customers. If they advertised in any other forum, where Bitcoin was not used, they would get less customers. So it is a

Win/Win situation for both the forum and the Signature companies. The campaign managers must just be strict on the users spamming

the forum with useless posts, then everyone will be happy.  Wink

i think , it is expensive or not ,is totally depends upon the site service . if site actually doing better then advertising is also profitable . and it is also reality for some advertiser that they don't know what they are advertising .

Most signature campaigns have a stringent checking process where the signature campaign managers checks the recent post history for quality and signs of the account being linked to another account in the same campaign.

I agree, signature campaign has resulted in spamming throughout the forum. The spam are posts that has no thought being put into it and most of them are clearly wrong. Signature campaigns are still quite effective for the advertisment if the advertiser does not want to pay extra for the forum advertisment.

And no, I am not spamming. I am on a fixed pay scheme and I would probably exceed my minimum post count anyway.

and not only that, but the forum gets completely full of shit and no real discussions about anything.  I hate the fucking signature campaign people posting infinitely about 'how to get women and porn to use bitcoin'.  Ridiculous.

it is really rare for  an account like you without signature.

I made this topic self moderated to avoid spamming.

I don't think It's expensive compared to other services (ad networks for example) as most of people use Adblock while most of Bitcointalk users keep signatures visible.
It's not really bad for the owner , If he hired a good manager , It's just a matter of time till multiple account spammers get caught and kicked from the campaign. Also , usually , people don't really take an opinion on the service based on the spamming of users while advertising but more on the content of the service.
