Hi guys,

Thank you for you kind heart. Iam from a poor family. Don't afraid iam not asking money from you." If you're born poor thats not your fault.but if you die poor thats your fault" .a famous qoute.
I don't want to die poor. I have a normal computer . 2gb ram only. Don't knwo about the graffics card. I would be very happy
If i can mine a crypto at this spec. I don't know how you take my question .  Please share some basic knowledge of mining with me.

If anyone can help me please contact me @enriche1 (telegram username)

Note : Don't mock me in comments
It's not a good time to start mining right now and again your rig is outdated, you won't make anything mining with your setup, it's better to sell what you have and use the money to buy a altcoin since we are almost in altcoin season, you will make good profits this way, buy top altcoins like XRP, BNB, Chainlink etc

My advise do bounty hunter & airdop its more viable rather than mining at current spec, but you can try it  for knowledge & fun, being active on community, learn slowly these day crypto going faster than couple years ago

I suggest you spend your time to learn about crypto first and their differences to atleast get some exposure, mind you mining isn't the only way to make profits in crypto space, knowledge is power enough to change anyone's life for better, that's if you are willing to put in more effort and learn, since you said you have no money unfortunately you won't be able to afford the right mining equipments

If you are in a poor country with a weak economy you could also benefit from joining a signature campaign. You won't be able to do it for about a 2-3 month period where you must show your contribution to the forums, but honestly that will probably end up earning you a lot more than mining with a single computer and you would also learn a lot more about crypto in general. Check the local boards if you speak a language other than English and you might be able to help there as well. Good luck.

No he can't join a signature campaign because he is a new user. There would be too many people spamming the entire forum it campaign managers took new members as sig posters. The signature campaign benefits the people who were around BTC for years. Basically if you were around since 2017-2018 and posted frequently and got your status to Hero or Lengendary then you can make decent profit for the amount of work you put in, however for a newbie member its not an option.

His best option is to get a low end RX 470 8GB and mine ethereum with it, currently ETH is rising and I think its like $1/day before electrical costs. With fees rising it will become even more profitable. If he likes it then he can start a large farm however the GPUs might be expensive in his country.

If you doubt mining, you don't have to start mining because there are many things that you need to prepare before you start. You need to know how much your electricity costs in your country, so you can calculate it and predict how much profit you can make. But I don't suggest you start mining if you don't have money to buy good equipment because if you only have a normal computer with 2GB of ram, I am not sure if you can get a nice reward from the mining.

There is no fast way to make money. Everything that we do needs time, and no one will know when we can make huge money. Luckily, we can try many ways to make money, and if you don't stop searching the other ways, I am sure that someday, you will get one or two or even three ways that will help you make money.

I have many local friends that pretty much ask the exact same question. Bitcoin breaks some ATH like $1100 back in 2013 or $20000 back in 2017 and they are all text me asking "how can I get rich off mining bitcoin with my pc". I tell them you make like $1/day/gpu and the GPU costs like $100-$200 and they do the math and are like "Not enough money!".

Later I need to explain to them that there is something called difficulty and the only people that are "rich" in crypto are the ones that started mining a long time ago. At the present time, like the Gold Rush there isn't much profit to be made.

I think those that mined ETH back in 2016 when it was like $1-2 an ETH and you could mine like 1 ETH per day per GPU and held until it hit $1000 ETH, they got rich off mining. Any other individuals must be the ones that CPU mined BTC back in 2010 or so. Mining was never "get rich quick" scheme.

Save up as much as you can to get a decent GPU used, maybe a cheap rx470 8gb.  Mine with that.  Save all your earnings.  AFter a bit, Buy more gpus and expand with earnings.  Maybe you will earn enough to buy a gpu once every 6 months, then 4 months, then 2 months, then a gpu a month, then 2 per month, then a whole rig per month, etc.  scale up slowly but surely.

Since the OP has only regular computer right now and just starting to learn about mining.
Maybe he can look at CPU mineable coins.

If the OP can take a look at this thread -

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/best-cpu-mineable-coins-in-2019-and-cpu-mining-guides-updated-2683343. - Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2019 and CPU Mining Guides [UPDATED!]

There are many valuable insights that he can read on this thread. Just be patient as you are just learning the crypto mining.
Try at least one, better with low hashrate so you can mine some coins.
And then, slowly, look for buying your own gpu.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
If you have any little money and free time. Invest in knowledge bro. You can also acquire lots of skills online. Some sources of information are paid while other are free but, bottom line, the investment you make in acquiring skill or improving on your talent in order to use it to earn is the near future could be better than trying to spend any little resources you have to start out mining. You won't be able to realize enough profit for daily survival with just that computer even if electricity was free. It's never too late to learn anything that can change your life brother.

all about how long it takes to get your money/cash back...being kind here, min is 18months on any RSP(retail suggested price)gpu's...buy 2nd hand and...well suffice to say there's inherent risks with hardware failure.  for what it counts im building a 10 gpu 5700 rig, there is hope but nothing comes fast/easy.   Smiley

i understand you. because i am from poor family too my family even couldnt buy me new shoes for school. and you want earn some money Smiley 1st thing is 1st from mining you cant earn money. Because you cant afford big mining gear, to earn money you need many GPUs or ASICs which are expensive. if you started mining 10years ago then there was chance to earn good money but its gone.but who knows maybe after 20 years later todays 1ETH will be very valuble, you can mine some ETH with AMD RX 470-480-570-580 pick any of thease and start with one GPU. with 1 or 2 GPUs you will be making 1-2$ a day according to whattomine calculator. i assume you have free electricity because we have Smiley.
However the good idea you study and get real job this is best way to earn money, Because i did the same now i have house car wife kids and mining RIG Smiley dont loose too much time for mining, for hobby start 1GPU leave let it work. Good luck

Mining will not make you rich.
Mining is a hobbie (for a large part of miners) or a financial activity which consumes a lot of money to create little amounts every day.

Previous advice is very good.
Study at school and by yourself. Become a crack on a speciality. Try to create activities (programming applications for example). And enjoy.

Mining at this point is a game of cheap electricity and good hardware.
You need a decent GPU at least or a decent CPU to make some profit. Like a RX 470 8GB, which you can buy used for about $120 is the minimum I could recommend. If you have 0.1ct/kWh electricity, you will get $0.27 a day. So you can see, that is no way to get rich quick.

If you want to get out of poverty, I think mining is not necessarily the right way. Go to school, study, do free courses on coursera or edx and try to build a skill set that is sought after. That is a much better investment of your time. Mining only makes sense at medium/large scale to make money (and only if you have super cheap power). Or as a hobby, as I am doing it.

Evil beware: We have waffles!
I highly suggest that you read some of the Beginners & Help section
Bitcoin cannot be mined with a computer, it requires using dedicated ASIC-based hardware. Only altcoins can be mined using a computer, the Altcoin Mining area is here

Since you like quotes, what applies here is: "Elephants are gray but not everything gray are elephants" which translates to "Bitcoin is a crypto coin but not all crypto coins are Bitcoin".
Best of Luck to you
