@TravelMug, Thank you, thank you! With your tip, I was able to recover my ethereum.  Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I'm glad that I was able to help, and I will also request you to lock this thread so that it won't be spam with useless reply since your problem has been solved already.

The Ronin sidechain is for the game Axie Infinity.  It reduces the gas costs.

You are not the first one to experience this issue, however, Ronin has the solution:

Source: Send Ethereum from MetaMusk to Ronin Wallet

Hope this help, if not then reach to Ronin/Axie Infinity.

Ronin WETH balance = 0
The transaction was successful from the withdrawal side (metamask) and it shows on the etherscan but does not show up in my ronin.

it's likely you are not losing your ethereum. As far as i know if ronin being created use EVM and when you are sending ethereum to the ronin and it will be converted into the wrapped ethereum.
Could you check your WETH balance dude?

I just sent some ethereum to a ronin network (sidechain) address.
Are ethereum and ronin addresses the same?
If not, is my ether lost?
