You're a 'hero member' and know nothing....Huh  Huh
Why should the rank matter in terms of his mining knowledge?
Bitcointalk isn't just for mining you know...

You're right.  I assume we're all the same

Say there is a coin with a total network hash rate of 5 GH/s and then you point a additional 5 GH/s at it you will effectively cut the profitability in 1/2, and you will cause the difficulty to jump at the next set interval.

This is one of the reasons that profit switching pools switch around so much. As more miner move to a coin that is more profitable, then the Hashrate & Difficulty go up and the profitability goes down, and miners look for the next more profitable coin to mine.

Also if a coin has a total hashrate of 5 Gh/s and you point over 5 GH/s at it you have unintentionally effectively 51% attacked it and you could hijack and or fork the Blockchain.

There is not such a thing like a maximum hashrate limit.

Hashrate is only indicator.

Limited is rather coin supply etc.

just remember to not compete against yourself or you would lose money, it's the reason why big farm can't mine small coins, but they can still point few rigs to those small coins...

so the answer is no, your total hash should not be way above the net or you are losing money, usually above 50% of the net you are already competing against yourself

but if the coin you are mining give more than other coins you can keep mine that coin, it depend on the profit also

Suppose i want to mine a coin... new coin... suppose it is a scrypt algo coin. I own a big rig, or any how have managed a rig. Total net hash is about 5ghashes but i have managed 10ghashes ...Can I mine that coin with my 10ghashes mining rig ?? what will be happened then ??

If you are the only one to mine this new coin your profit will be pretty large with tha mining hash power of 10 GH/S. Unfortunately this is a theorist only scenario. Usually new coins will be profitable when no one will be mining them. However their price will also be extremely low so you need to wait and see if their price will rise in the future and you can sell them to make a profit.

I wanted to know, if it is possible to mine or not...
Suppose a new coin has just launched
It is a scrypt/sha256 algo
Total net hash 2ghashes/s..
I have a large farm with 10ghashes/s mining capacity.
Can I mine the coin with all of my mining capacity ?
Are you talking about pasc , you want to mine pasc with asics?

I am not talking about any specific coin, I know nothing about mining.
