I didn't really overpay because I will have paid off what I paid for them in a month $70 for a usb block erupter would never see a ROI in less that 1 year unless BTC shot up to 100,000 a coin you see that happening anytime soon?

Yep but if you're clever about it you mine an alt coin, wait till it goes up and sell the alt coins for BTC then sell the BTC for $ and I've easily returned on my initial investment. But I think you're right if you just mine BTC

If you are thinking in one month period, ofcorse erupters cant roi, but in longer time period they can ROI fast. Think BIG.

I told the person that got me into bitcoins that it would go up high during black Friday and cyber Monday time. Then start to go down afterwards I feel sorry for all those bozos no offense paying $60.00 for USB Block Erupters when I got mine for $11.00 a piece. I have not bought any mining equipment because they are at a price where you would never see your return unless it shot up into the millions. I will wait until they get worth what you can get for them again until then people please stop paying stupid prices for these items you will never see a ROI.

So you were able to predict the people's bank of china notice? You are good!

CHINA DID NOT BAN BITCOIN, They declaired it as "not a currency" and therefore finnacial instituions in china are Not Allowed to accept it as currency.
Bitcoins ARE NOT illicit/illegal in china in any way shape or form.

Read the headlines carefully "China Bans Financial Companies From Bitcoin Transactions"
Where the HELL does it state that bitcoins are banned?
"the People’s Bank of China said it isn’t a currency with “real meaning” and doesn’t have the same legal status. The public is free to participate in Internet transactions provided they take on the risk themselves, it said. "

even if they banned bitcoin, bitcoin is designed to be used even if ALL GOVERNMENTS ban it.

actually my block erupters easily paid for themselves and I paid way too much for them as a newbie back in august (probably wouldn't have bought them had I done more research Smiley ) but I mined some alt coins when they first came out sold them for bitcoins, sold a few bitcoins and have easily covered my costs and some.

I'm not so sure you return on them now but I definitely did.

That has a lot to do with you know if governments are making money off of it they will ban it.

Interesting article from yesterday, may lead to a good reason for the decline today.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-12-05/china-s-pboc-bans-financial-companies-from-bitcoin-transactions.html

Since the Chinese were big investors it would make sense for a drop today after that news.
