So I met a man in the hospital, told me he was the real satoshi. Told me not to share his name so I won't. This wasn't the mental hospital, this was the regular hospital. Man did drugs, and had some fancy cars he got robbed from. Told me his life goal was to be arrested in all 50 states, and he was so rich he could pay bail on all of them. All I can say is, he was from South America.

I am fairly sure this was the real Satoshi, he was one of the strangest people I have ever met.

Oh my God, what are you? Are you a sci-fi writer? Nice thread and the post that will be sure opened by many people. Certainly we all understand that you did not meet Satoshi, but thank you for adding some fun to this serious Forum.

Not sure how he delivered his words to you in order for you to believe him. Well I'm not judging you but I don't think satoshi will just reveal himself like that easily. Given the current price of BTC and all the risks involved whenever he discloses his identity to a random stranger. However, props to you for starting this catchy header.

So the thing is, how did you start such conversation with him. Did you ask him who he is or did he just decide to tell you who he really is?
Just decided to tell me after he told me how good bitcoin was and to invest. However I was ignorant at the time and all the talk of bitcoin confused me.

So the thing is, how did you start such conversation with him. Did you ask him who he is or did he just decide to tell you who he really is?
I consider myself lucky enough to have met him.

If you were a higher ranked account and had some kind of credentials that would make your comments more reputable I might have believed you, but being a full member I'm going to say that there is nothing that really convinces me that you came in contact with the real Satoshi. Plus the address associated with Satoshi, containing the sheer amount of Bitcoin they do, have never had their money move once. The fact the guy was in a mental hospital is convincing me that the guy is just insane and not really Satoshi at all. He wouldn't be that reckless and trying to make himself know in this same way. He'd want to maintain his low profile and keep as hidden as he could.

I specifically said it wasn't a mental hospital, but good to know noone listens. And yet still tries to debate me...

I'm sure it's not satoshi maybe you just make up a story without evidence here, why not forget satoshi and not try to find out who he is or them Smiley
here we are satoshi, a community that together grows for the bitcoin that he created so at least let it satoshi live in it.

What is crazy is that he could be dead. I doubt we will ever figure out who he is.

Told me his life goal was to be arrested in all 50 states,

Clearly not Satoshi, then.  If Satoshi left the community because of fears over the potential legal fallout from Bitcoin donations to WikiLeaks, it stands to reason they aren't going to go out of their way to get arrested in all 50 states.  That's not the kind of attention you'd want to bring upon yourself if you're trying to remain anonymous.

If I were Satoshi, I'd probably have, like, one parking ticket, just so I don't look too clean.  Then, aside from that, stay well away from the long arm of the law.

Firstly that doesn't really sound like the guy we expect him to be. Secondly Satoshi has never touched any of the accounts that are linked to him so for all we know he could be broke, more likely just dead.

So Satoshi has a good use in mind for the 1 million coins he mined. Good to hear.

There are a bunch of people claiming to be that they are Satoshi Nakamoto and many did not believe them. So if ever we met the real Satoshi Nakamoto, no one would ever recognize him especially when he doesn't have power (richness) and he will just be called liar.

Thing is, he was rich and powerful actually.

Question is, why all on a sudden that person started speak with you about BITCOIN and Satoshi??

Basically, we were stuck in the same hospital room for 3 days.
He basically told me his life story.

All the strange people want is to be as impressive as it`s possible. So that man told You that lie to impress You as much as possible, that`s all. Just curious - how old he was?

About 50.

I don't believe that the guy you met in the hospital is Satoshi. I would only believe it if he could sign a message from one of his early address that contains bitcoin. It's easy for everyone to say that they can be the real Satoshi here in the forum or anywhere else to quickly gain attention but only the real one could sign a message to prove it.

Nice catch, but I tend not to believe you. This surely is not the last post somebody will write about him. He wanted to be anonymous why would he even tell you who he is? Seems like your imagination is doing everything.
