I think they are going for an international audience and are based in a few countries. One of the founders is Australian.

I made a similar page, but all client side, and shows other metrics like difficulty, your miners etc.  source is in github.  I haven't added coin jar yet because you need to login to access their ticker

I manually check all the exchange prices and compare them in the morning each business day.

There are also live prices in the green text (only for the exchanges that have provided an API).

The website is http://CompareBitcoins.net

A fair comparison? CoinSect and BTC Markets (both are marketplaces) don't always have a current price so I put them last if they are quiet.

The line chart is based on the bitcoinaverage.com price and I will be adding a few more exchanges when they get their API's finished.
