From my own experience with blogging I can add that for making it really successful such things matter:
- using the laptop lifestyle (it's necessary to provide good and creative text content and build trust with an audience)
- wise social media marketing (it's an important tool for promoting your blog but don't make too many accounts in various social networks, that will take much energy from instead of blogging, it's much more effective to have a couple of well-developed ones)
- using WordPress as the most popular and convinient platform from the very beginning (changing the platform later will be really expensive)
- including in your text content awesome images, stock photos bundles https://masterbundles.com/downloads/category/active/stock-photography/ , video and audio (such approach will attract more users and make your blog much more interesting for them)
- becoming a fan of reading (that will be strongly connected with the quality of your own texts, especially in case of reading good literature and other successful blogs)
