I would let a few boats go by before you get on.  Anything can happen in the next few days.  So watch price carefully.  And if you want then invest when price goes down again.  But not your life savings.

I missed to buy bitcoin when it dipped to $9K. Then I missed it again at $10k thinking it might go down to $9k again. And now, I am waiting for $10k but it seems that it will not go below $11k again. I must be the biggest idiot in crypto world Sad

You might feel much better if you learn that millions of so-called idiots besides you exist. I am going to buy BTC even now as it will be up soon.
If there is a time to buy bitcoin is right now, the price was at 8k for sometime so that was the perfect opportunity even now is at 9k which is still a very good price to buy some bitcoin, the price may go even lower but there is no point in trying to get the best possible price when the current prices are very affordable and we are so far away from the all time high.

You can see that we have witnessed another dip to $9k yesterday and another opportunities was provided. Currently you can still buy as bitcoin is a bit above $10,000.
We should not just look any price movement as opportunity because that is the major reason why people lose there investment. If bitcoin keep going up there is always nobody buy and vice Vasa but the up and down provide opportunities for those that what to buy cheap and sell high.
It is a humiliating fact that no one will be able to buy at extremely lower price levels similarly no one can catch upper prices to sell. We all need to sail in the wave so that we will not miss any opportunity. I believe whatever prices we are getting below $11,000 are very good prices to enter in.

Right now Bitcoins prices are trading below $10,200 and this must be a very good buying level because many people are speculating bitcoin will be having new all time high prices in coming months. It means we can double our capital by buying right now and holding for very few months. So, we never need to worry about missing out any opportunity as bitcoin markets are always keep giving enough opportunities to buy more bitcoins.

Well, I bet you don't miss this one. Don't be upset in missing that boat. Because there is a new one incoming. Buy bitcoins now and thank me later. I can see a good uptrend of bitcoin this week. Don't miss that chance or you'll regret again that you "missed" the boat. Goodluck and hodl.

Lol. No need to feel to bad about it my friend,  you are not alone. Amd besides, that is just a small difference compared to what the price will be at the emd of this year. I suggest you buy now as soon as possible while the price is still low. You probably will be making tons of profit if you just hold itand ignore all the fud being spread about it all throughout the internet, in social medias and news channels. I sure hope you do jot have a weak heart and that you are really dedicated into holding bitcoins for long periods of time. Because if you sell them early, then you will probably suffer losses or gain minimal profits.  But hey, that's your choice, too much greed ain't good also. Smiley
Right now the price is at 10500 so this is a very good entry point, it is not going to get that much better, people need to stop trying to get the best absolute price and get in, I do not think these prices are going to last that long, maybe a few months at best, so it is an opportunity to buy bitcoin for cheap before bitcoin begins to pump again, so get some ash and buy we may never have the opportunity to buy at this price again.

Just be patient you can catch it anyway. Today another dip had occur as this might be a chance to those willing to add on there investments. If you wait to buy at the lowest price then you had a big chance you will miss that dip. It's difficult to predict the bitcoin market. Buy and sell at your comfort zone.
You did not missed the boat it is still fine to invest now, if we do have plan to hold it for a long time, as they were saying don't wish for bitcoin to go down, whatever the price is we should be able to support it no matter what, do not be so greedy about the profit that you must have earned but had gone, still a lot of opportunities out there.

Picking the bottom of dips is a fool's errand. Nobody can do it reliably. Anyone here who tells you that they can is a liar. It's the same case in all assets. You are better off waiting for a trend to reverse and catching the middle section of a rally than trying to find the bottom and top.

Well, you could start buying now while the price increase does not yet jump up drastically because you may never know that the bitcoin price might be reached the 19,000 USD marked when it last fell last month. So stop being so down and get on with buying bitcoin, let start our investment with a positive attitude towards it.

Then you will miss it forever if you dont try to risk anything. Greedyness is the answer. Dont be such. Bitcoins price still low though, why wont you buy now? Whats worst than earning a little ? Its earning nothing or probably lower than that. Cryptoworld is such a jungle of risk, if you want to risk, youre not going to earn. Be brave mate, all of us here are affected on the drop and waiting bitcoin to rise again. Im sure it will.

No you are not. So many have same fears like you. Fear of missing the boat. But I just want to tell you that there is never too late to buying a Bitcoin. Because when you buy BTC after some period of time it's value increases. And started generating profit. Once you invest in Bitcoin that's enough, you don't need to work for it. Bitcoin started working for you.

I don't think you have missed the boat in buying your bitcoin. There is always a good chance of catching up, that's one good thing about cryptocurrency. There is still a good opportunity to buy it now even if it is few satoshi, it is still something because in months or years to come, their value will be much than you expected. Moreover, bitcoin price has not yet reach to its peak, there is a high probability of having a higher price this year alone.

Instead of trying to time it exactly, just dollar cost average it. Buy a little every week and the buying price will average out.

Now is the best time to buy bitcoin, don't want a little bit longer for the bitcoin to increase again. It is best time to buy and hold it for a long term investment, but if you are planning to buy and just hold it in a short term it will always depend on you on how much will you want to buy bitcoin.

If your attitude is always like this then you will missing the right time again and again. It isn’t be practical to just always wait, we have to make a choice and risk is part of it. So take what is comfortable to you and regret everytime you take a blind eye of an opportunity for a lifetime or take the hardest way, maybe wrong but if the wind blows towards you, jackpot prizes is on hand.

You can always start with crytpo if not with bitcoin then others. You NEVER miss the boat. Bitcoin is not the only crypto to invest in other alternatives such as ox, tron, cardano are some really good options to invest in.
Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency that you are limited to. Expand your trading view and have options. Having options is always helpful.

This is what will going to happen if you don't trust your instinct. You could have earn it now if you just don't let it slip away and good a trader is always ready for a loss no matter what's the risk because they will learn from their mistakes. Just count it as your worst experience so it will always remind you how to trust your own instinct or else you might wanna miss the boat again.

Well it's below 11k right now.
Furthermore if you can't time your buying properly, then just average in.Otherwise you may end like the guys who still wait for a drop to 3k. Cheesy
Wanting for cheap coins is natural and totally fine. But don't try to get them even more cheaper when your entry level is reached.Often you will end up buying in higher.
Keep buying is the only way for not missing out any corrections. Keep buying in small percentage of our allocated capital will ensure that we are into the race of buying bitcoins for cheaper prices. Still, there are plenty of chances for everyone to miss out some great opportunities to buy bitcoins. It happens to everyone as figuring out the exact lower prices is not at all possible for any individual nor any trader.

I do always allocate some portion of my salary for bitcoins. I do hold my bitcoin investments for years. So, I never worry on missing out cheaper bitcoins. I do buy if funds are available. Otherwise I do not care about missing out the opportunities. Because, peace of mind is more important than making money.

well the price is hanging around $10k and $11k for a while now. that's a fantastic low price to get in. So just buy whenever you want. Looks like it might take a bit for it to head back up near the ATH.
The price is always volatile better taking the chance to buy rather missing this boat that might moving upward its price. In this crypto world that full of misery in terms of prices is buy and wait to shine the price.

Impossible to guess the lowest threshold prices. You should always buy and sell coins in the middle of the chart. The volatility of the bitcoin and allows it to do. You will always have profit. If you try to guess the lowest or the highest price level you will lose profit and will get nervous breakdown.

The price of bitcoin is now fluctuates often,If you found any low values. You can use the chance to buy a bitcoin. If you buy at any price, you will get profit at the next price. So it's based on a market flow, use it wisely to get profit.I think this itself, best option to inverse in bitcoin.

you can buy now mate cause apparently the price fluctuate again back to 10k or wait more days cause there's a chance it will continue to decrease gradually. Dont lose hope cause nowadays the market is not yet stable so buy now while the price didn't surge to gain more profits in the future and also to prevent regrets.

You missed a great opportunity, you should already invested when btc is in its $9k mark. Next time, never hesitate to invest when there's a dip (whether big or small) because we don't know how long it lasts.

Anyway, stop pulling down yourself because committing a mistake is normal for each one of us. Also, stop saying that you are the biggest idiot here in crypto world because you're not Smiley (I'm pretty sure that there are so many people out there who made worse decisions than you). The right thing you could do is to forget all the negative vibes, try to focus on the moral lessons you've got from that experience and use it to become a wiser bitcoin holder.

If you believe  bitcoin for the long term, I don't see a reason for you to wait for a 1K correction, as it is less then 10% at the current rate.
I think that at the long term, those price correction won't really matter as if bitcoin becomes mainstream, it won't matter if you purchased it at 11K or at 10K, at both ways you are going to do tons of money.

I missed the boat of buying at few single bucks, that could have made me rich now, but I hope that in the future I would be able to tell the same on buying at 10K$

I missed it too. When the price before is at $10k i didn't buy because i think it might go lower, but it hit to $12k then i'm forced to buy before it's too late because i think it will go higher now, then it drops again to $11k now. I regret it so much. I think you should buy at $11k now before you regret it later that you missed it again.
That is textbook fomo! Act like that and you will lose money, not gain it.  When everybody screams the ed is near...buy.

Either those screamers are afraid to lose more nor want to get some benefits on the current downfall and if you caught by them its also either you will lose nor gain since crypto work are full of manipulators and fuds and its up to us to find more relevant answers to our question if we don't know anything on the current and past events happening on crypto scene.

Just because you missed an opportunity to buy bitcoin doesn't mean your an idiot. Don't feel bad about yourself because that'll only make you feel much worse. I myself made some dumb decisions in the past with my bitcoins and now I have moved on from it. Buying bitcoin with the current price is still okay considering how big the change was since last december.

I think we're heading to my target entry point, $10K again..

You are just inexperienced, I do not know exactly what you are trying to do but if your plan is to hold for the long term there is not much of a difference between buying at 9k, 10k or 11k, now if what you are planning is to buy so you can sell in just a few weeks or months then I can say to you that you probably do not have the experience to pull that off yet.
That is right i also think that he has still good opportunity to trade bitcoin in current time as the price of bitcoin is still trading in low price. I personally do not think that bitcoin price will dump any more from 10000$, but now its price will start increasing again and it is expected that in February it will recover its previous position and will even continue increasing and will even cross 30K very comfortably, therefore for investors it is still a very good opportunity to trade bitcoin.

Noob problems. Smiley Seriously, your 'target' price is just 10% away from current levels, and you talk about missing the boat? If you're long term minded (probably not), you can buy at current levels without any problems.

The longer you keep waiting, the higher the price will go up, that's a certainty. If you don't want to be an idiot and "miss out again", buy now and keep hodling your coins. These levels are an opportunity, not a regret.

It's pretty embarrassing that you don't see an opportunity here, but that's what happens when people not understanding this market and Bitcoin itself try to invest or trade this market.

You can still buy Bitcoins. The price could get to $25,000 before the end of the year. You can still double your money if you buy now. There are no guarantees of course, but a few years from now, we may look back at the current price as a great buying opportunity even at $12,000.

And still, its market value is low and is having a hard time to be more expensive or for its value to increase which means that you are not late for your desired price of investment in Bitcoin. Do not hesistate on investing to it and just hold it for years to earn huge profit.
It is good to have a positive attitude but never expect any investment to go high all the time, there is a breaking point somewhere down the line and i do think that the price went up too high in a short span and that is not good for anyone because you will always see a big fall when there is any negative news coming up.Be careful with any sort of investment, since you have missed the boat there is no going back, make sure you keep some coins and wait for another rally.

I missed to buy bitcoin when it dipped to $9K. Then I missed it again at $10k thinking it might go down to $9k again. And now, I am waiting for $10k but it seems that it will not go below $11k again. I must be the biggest idiot in crypto world Sad

Wait. So first of all let's get this straight. Bitcoin right now is being traded at a little south of $11K, which is nearly 50% of the price it was trading at mid-december. Yet you supposedly missed the boat when it comes to investing in bitcoin because you missed the low of $9K and $10K respectively? If you don't want to become the biggest idiot in the crypto ecosystem, start buying now and dollar-cost average it out.

Smiley

Funny thing about boats is they rise and fall with the waves and the tide. And get rekt or propelled by the occasional rogue wave or tsunami.

There is almost always another chance to buy in if you’re patient and observant enough. This goes for nearly every market.

Dollar cost averaging is key. Only trade if you’re obsessive compulsive. Or want to be.

This game is played in years. Sit back. Relax. Enjoy the show.

Don’t quit your day job.

Well, you have your chance now and if you miss this one, then you should have yourself to blame forever. The market is presently testing the previous support and it seems it is holding it pretty well. You can buy some now, see the look of things before the day and make the remaining decision based on the outcome.

We are still in bearish market so don't worry you may get chance to buy bitcoin between $9k to $10k.  And all other coins will also come down along with bitcoin, currently price is trying to break support $10k so we might see below $10k within today.

Don't worry, you haven't missed the train completely but the ticket might just be a little more expensive now. You can still invest into bitcoin because the price is still "low" considering how high it might jump this or some next year. Also, there are always some alt-coins.

Many people always search for the right moment to do something, but they entirely miss the fact that the perfect moment was right ahead of them all the time.
Because we have no idea in what direction bitcoin price will develope, the only important question is whether somebody wants to have bitcoins or not.
If you want coins, then buy. If not, then not. I think it really is that simple.

It's quick, you did missed $9,00 but as of today from $11,500 yesterday now down to $10,500 so you can still ride the boat. You can still have enough time before it will reach $12,000 soon.

No you're not but you are just expecting too much before buying.

Why not just wait till it goes to 0 and buy then?

Everyday is always an opportunity to buy bitcoin do not be disappointed just because you missed the opportunity of buying bitcoin when the price fell down, because the sky is the limit for bitcoin who knows bitcoin might rise to 19,000 US dollar again or be higher that it's previous highest value. So buy now while you have the budget to buy a bitcoin.

This will always happen to you if you wait for the best time to buy bitcoin because there is no such thing like that. There is nothing wrong if you enter the market in $11000 price range. if you can see how much potential growth can bitcoin reach you will not hesitate to invest even the price already increased 10-20%. Bitcoin is best for long term investment.

Are you okay? bitcoin now continues fluctuating by the market then if you say that you are missed the great opportunity, then i must be say NO.
Go and invest right now, take a risk and jump in your boat with having a huge amount of bitcoin who knows after a year you did not regret what you have did this year. If you some time to check the price chart of bitcoin since last year, i conclude that bitcoin was rising up every last quarter in a year it means that with in the beer months.
It's not too late friend you still have the time to purchase in bitcoin the boat was always there for you waiting when you will a ride. Grin

Cost averaging is nice when you are unsure what price you want to enter a market. Figure out how much you want to spend...divide it into fourths(or what ever %'s you want)..buy a block over the next 4 hours(days or weeks works here too) now you have averaged your cost over that time frame. Works just as well exiting a market also. Perhaps your target price will come to fruition at some point as well..you never know.

i can't tell if you are joking but i have to say you are not the only person doing this. there are lots of people who either fall for the FUD that is flying around and sell or don't buy, or they wait too long to do anything generally whether it is to buy in the dip or it is to sell while price is still high.

the solution is simple too. you have to stop being  greedy and make up your mind. if price has dropped and you speculate a bigger rise on the horizon (where the boat is headed) the buy it already.

Don't see it as losing 1k or 2k when you are buying it higher than the lowest you considered.

It's a dynamic price movement and you cannot always predict what is the best moment to buy.

The problem with your thought process is that you are creating your own barrier to entry. If you keep on creating your own "Entry point" then you will never jump into the boat. Last year Bitcoin was more or less $1000 at the beginning of the year and everyone said that it was in a Bubble and at the upped end of the price curve, but they were wrong. It skyrocketed to $19,000 to the end of the year. ^smile^

My advice would be to just jump in and to take the risk. Nobody know what will happen with the price, but I would rather want to be in the boat when it reach those levels again, than standing on the side.

It is your choice. Do not invest more than what you are willing and able to lose. ^smile^

It is possible that bitcoin will dip again. If your gut tells you to buy bitcoins, then trust it next time. You could have made a lot of profits in the last 2 weeks.

Thinking of Bitcoin as a "train" that you can miss is dangerous and hurting it more than anything else, because if you don't believe it will grow further - you devalue it yourself, accepting the fact it will fall.

If what you see is solid technology then you can't really miss that train - it will go further up (and I'm not talking about price) so it is irrelevant what moment of time you will choose to get into it.

If you really want to invest you should not focus that much on bitcoin's price, actually don't look at the price at all, just take as much as you can afford to invest (don't use loans or life savings) and buy whatever amount it buys, then forget about it and live your life as you did before. Or better - get involved in tech, make it better and be the thing that actually drives this whole thing upwards.

Also if you are aiming to merely speculate on it's price, make a quick buck and be gone - I can't give you any relevant advice. Your best strategy would probably involve time travel, but there are lots of folks here who will be happy to assist in that matter Wink

cheers!

Timing the market is merely impossible even if you are really great at technical analysis specially in the crypto market. This is the reason that you just  need to buy on the  dips because if you are planning to hold the coins long term the little price difference will not matter.

Right now it is not to late because right now Bitcoin is still consolidating, take advantage of the price right now because pretty soon there will be another price rise.

There is no perfect time to enter the market, whether you buy it in $9k or $10k you will still make a profit it the bitcoin price rise again to $19k each. Who would probably know and predict the future, if you think you missed the boat then probably you missed it since last year when bitcoin still below $2k or worse a few years before it. So i suggest you to start now, its better late than never.  Grin Grin

I thought this once. When the price went to 15k and then to 20k. It has since went back to 10k then to 17k and then back to 9k and now 11k. I honestly think 11k is still low. I don’t look at it any different than 10k. Do not think your an idiot. Happily buy at 11k.

There will always be dips to buy. Just buy in at a price you feel comfortable with. If you're bullish on BTC it won't matter in a year if you bought in at $10500 or $11200. Pretty negligible difference
