A minimum of $15 /article is what I think the standard rate with at least 500 words on it. It can be attractive if you can some how equal or exceed the pay rate.
yes, i think 7$ that the op offer is a bit cheap. unless its not a so good quality. also, he should indicate the words per article too id how many words a certain article must have in order to get paid.
The posts I've seen so far from interested parties are from people that can't even write English properly. It makes zero sense to ask for the going rate for journalists when you're obviously not one and don't have the skills needed to handle the job. This is like saying "I've never fixed a helicopter before but I want $150/hr and I'll at least try..."

If you have an interest to translate every article in Tagalog contact me first it might be irrelevant, however perhaps an article covered in different language could target a few of potential audience than expected.
