transactions using escrow do not need to mention how much he will pay, because each provider gives different fees I think the OP only needs to post looking for 'escrow' and all is done.

$500 fee for an escrow for a legal (in all means[1]) and smooth transaction?
A normal buyer/seller does not need to attract an escrow for their business by promising a mammoth amount as a fee. (Even 1% fee of transacting value means OP's transaction must value at least $50k worth which means approximately 7 bitcoins. For a 7BTC worth of transaction, I will not post a new topic rather I will talk to reputed escrows (It means I must know where to find trusted people of this forum when I am dealing 7BTC in a single transaction)).
The fee itself triggers all the doubts about the legality of this deal.
[1] legal with respect to this forum, general moral and as per most country's jurisdiction.
