You no say as we country dy so, wetin dy worry most of us naija citizens be say we no know our right, even though you no your right, if you no know anybody, corrupt police officers go wan use us shine.

Sometimes make we just avoid this right talk and just do wattin we suppose do to avoid the problem, because even the right wey you dey talk about you still dey pay money for am. Make I explained just imagine say as em dey press phone dey waka then Nigerian police come stop am say wattin em dey do dey illegal without Dem having full knowledge say e nor dey illegal, if you say you wan fight for your right for that place na with evidence you go take fight am, so you come still gats call your lawyer wey be say after em don finish you go still find am something wey fit high pass the 2k wey the police Dem need for that spot. If you follow the police talk anyhow now, before you go know Dem go gum you charge come carry you go station. Bail is free, no be for Nigeria oo.

Police dey collect money for road for the hand of drivers, but how many person you don hear say dey talk about their right or tell the police their real work for road?

Na about the ban on bitcoin by our government.
I want ask, what if the police or all those uniform men check my phone for road come see say I de into bitcoin, e de possible say them g reason my matter?
Op, Bitcoin no dey banned for our Naija, the Buhari administration and CBN just placed a ban on our local banks not to carrying out Bitcoin payments.

I de ask this question because sometimes I go de very comfortable de check out stuff for the forum for road and e go just come my mind say as police take de worry street boys and e come be say de done ban bitcoin, say de fit just harass or arrest me one day oh.
Op, if police checked your phone come see your Bitcoin wallet or Trust wallet you dey for trouble if you no fit defend yourself well. Police go open your Bitcoin wallet or Trust wallet to know whether you have received Bitcoin before, and if they see Bitcoin transaction for your wallet they go ask you how you carry to get the Bitcoin, and if you no fit explain yourself well, na money you go used bail yourself that day. If you dey travel or comot go outside dey always freeze your Bitcoin wallet or Trust wallet for your phone so that if the police check your phone they no go see anything for your phone to avoid problem.

Our government no ban Bitcoin o. The idea of a ban from years back was from the CBN as one means to grow the Naira which was wrong and e raise reactions from various pro Bitcoin firms, investors and even get to the feds itself before, them make matters clear to be, not actually in support of the innovation rather than accepting.
As a means to protect it’s citizen from possible scams and from not being a victim of ignorance.

In the event that your investigated about your source of funds, I’ll say you don’t be shifty, you be open and bold. Should you be shifty, it sends a bad signal and that be some reason to seek out something incriminating in your dealings. That would be bad for you, really!

Very much obvious that the government and its security agencies are specifically after guys who are engaged in illegalities such as criminal and fraudulents activities just as the internet fraudsters who illegal extorts money or valuables from others.
Orderly, Bitcoin is not pronounced nor tagged illegal to be banned in the country rather it is placed on a temporary suspension that is actively restricted to any form of government acceptance or adoptions but individuals are authorized to bare with it with no private deprivations nor restrictions.
This forum or platform as may say is not operating at any form of governmental laws of violations and not even we the Nigerians are going any form of contrary against the laws of the government in relative to Bitcoin.
But however, this is Nigeria that we are in and we all knows the partial plays of some of our corrupted agencies that are fund of extortion from the civilian masses who are not highily connected in one way or the other that are being molested and falsefully being accused or set-up against indictments that is to be changed of any way of guiltiness.
So you just have to he very careful so you either don't get missed up with somr illegal operators that may expose you to what you know nothing about.
Prevent is always better than cures as also a stich in time saves nine.

Most of the times na we just dey use our hand implicate ourselves for some kind things, even tho say crypto no dey banned for this country but all this our uniform men wey most of dem no Sabi anything science and technology, dey no go fit differentiate between those yahho boys and we wey dey into Bitcoin stuffs.
Immediately dey cramp you for street come check your phone just see social media, see all this exchange app na there dey go begin raise unnecessary question up and down dey lay accusations on you.
So we get to dey careful with the way we handle this our stuffs as e no suppose dey where eye go easily see.
Na wetin make me like anything web cos those men no go fit operate reach the level to enter web na just ur apps dey go check. Make we even try increase the mode of privacy kwa, some special locking apps.

Although this bitcoin matter wey we they talk like this ehh no be joke oh. Because me too dey reason that same matter too. We no say na CBN naim partially ban crypto currency, but that one no mean say people no dey use Bitcoin. But the problem wey dey dere now be say, police and others agencies wey dey find fraudulent people like Yahoo boys for street, fit catch person for street with things wey concern Bitcoin logo come dey interrogate you say you be scammer, say na you dey use bitcoin dey scam people and before you go ft explain yourself properly, you don enter jail.

But the fact still remain say wetting we dey do, still be like illegal to many, because e never dey fully recognised and if the hold you, to explain go be problem because CBN forbid am.

Wetting I sudjest be say, wetting we go do na to download security app or privacy app, wey we go lock anything about Bitcoin activities. sothat whenever we wan do things concerning bitcoin or to enter forum, we open the app do wetting we wan do. To avoid 9ja police and there wahala

There is no ban on BTC — CBN only stopped banks from facilitating crypto transactions but corrupt police officers have turned that old memo into an avenue to extort money from anyone that indulges iin bitcoin and crypto.

My advice? Ensure that anything related to bitcoin and crypto isn't available at a glance on your phone or devices. Once caught by these corrupt officers, it would be your words against theirs. In my experience (I have had an encounter with them), it's probably best not to give them a reason to look further.

If you live in an area when such officers can't access or are not allowed to, then you should be good to go. Otherwise just stick to the good 'ol prevention is better than cure practice.

Op first of all, I go like clear you say them no ban crypto for Nigeria oo, but dem just add restriction so that we no go fit access am through our normal fiat bank. ie we no go fit use bank take make deposit to any crypto site or platform, like exchange or wallet, so if you try to use your ATM debit card to take make this transaction e go work, and your bank sef fit even froze your account for attempting, so that CBN no go withdraw license from dem or sue dem to court.

Then concerning this Bitcoin matter or other crypto related stuff for Niger. All of us know the know our kpokpo dey behave, once dem find out say u don do small thing wey dey somehow faulty, dem go just carry charge take gum you, but las las na money go end the whole issue. so as you dey waka, you no suppose dey press your phone sef, talk more of say na crypto matter naim make you dey press am. Because crypto journey na very anonymous one, so we no suppose do wattin go make that matter gbolo.

Aside from privacy know the way you appear or you present yourself outside, dress the way you want to be address, hardly I see police check person phone even if them wan check look the people well no be gentle person, but even if police check your phone today see bitcoin or bitcoin related app wetin you expect them to do? Bitcoin na money and there's nothing wrong having an app nothing else.
Secondly government no ban bitcoin even our current president make speech during he campaign say he go allow the use of block chain and crypto for naija but we see dey wait, even if police wan harass person when person go against law no be for bitcoin, holding bitcoin is not a crime for me no big deal they sha.

As this our country dey so, government and other top top men them for this country no permanently ban Bitcoin for this country, so I no even sure say police officer and other force men them go fit arrest you just because of say you dey deal with Bitcoin or say you dey promote am.
Just think about other business men them way dey accept Bitcoin transactions for their businesses? So you see, it's allowed to deal with Bitcoin in Nigeria but still, you must be so dem carful because of scammer.
The only thing that can make police go detain you is only if you are trying to scam people if their coins, but as long as you are not a scammer, I don't think you will be arrested for using Bitcoin or promoting Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not banned in Nigeria unless it happened today and I'm not aware of it, hence it will be nice you share the link to any article or news release to confirm this.

I recall that it was Buhari's administration that  made some policies that did not favour Bitcoin. They were practically closing the accounts of people that transact in Bitcoin and placing restrictions on some. However, the new administration of Tinubu did follow that direction and have even lifted all restrictions placed on crypto related accounts by the previous administration.  Consequently,  Nigeria is a Bitcoin and cryptocurrency friendly country as of today,  hence the growing interest in Bitcoin in various quarters of the country.

There is no constitution that states that Bitcoin is banned in Nigeria. The CBN only prohibited banks and other financial institutions in the country to stop trading on bitcoin. But however, wisdom is profitable to direct. You know how our security operatives behave so you need to be smart and sharp to avoid any thing that would attract them to you.

Avoid operating of phones in the public places if it has to do with bitcoin or this platform. If it Is a necessity, then locate the nearest secured spot to attend to your matters otherwise you will end up getting yourself into trouble because this olokpa men dem no get joy o. Dem ready to collect any collectables wey come their way and we know say Na festive season be this so you gat be careful.

Regarding the cryptocurrency ban in Nigeria, there's no written law stating that citizens are not to be caught using Bitcoin, nor has any law been passed stating that citizens caught using Bitcoin should be penalized. That's to say, if any Nigerian arm force catches you with Bitcoin on your phone, there is no law that warrants them penalizing you. The cryptocurrency ban case in Nigeria is that there should be no bank transaction relating to cryptocurrency; otherwise,  your bank account will be blocked.

But, OP, do you know that Bitcoin is your private property? And you should not go about flaunting your Bitcoin asset in public. Even cryptocurrency traders don't trade while they are walking on the road, so the question is: what are you checking in your Bitcoin wallet on the road?

There's a saying that "prevention is better than cure". If you know you are doing something that can cause complications for you, taking the best precautions is a wise practice.

Have a nice day.
