We are trying to create (or find) a software that will allow customers to use an alternative currency, like bitcoin, but not bitcoin, a much lower value and retailer driven currency. It is more of a reusable and transferable coupon system.
Our design needs are to be able to allow a customer to walk into a retail shop, see an informational/signup poster, scan a QR code, or alternatively, type in a short address, enter their email and password to sign up. The idea is we would issue them 5 coins to be used immediately, on the premises or website they are visiting, to get an item at no cost in USD.
i.e. customer walks into a donut shop, sees our poster and learns he can get a donut using only our currency, and he will be able to get the currency for free for signing up, because the retailer has agreed to offer one donut for one coin when purchaser also buys a large coffee with USD. The Customer signs up, then transfer his digital coin to the shop, and receives his coin purchased item. The retailer now has a coin in his account which is good at other retailers.

Account maintenance system
Funds transfer mechanism
Coin generator system
