I think I discovered the problem. My PSU is only rated for 200v~277v (super old, weird plug PSU) while I'm only currently running on 120v. I ended up frying a Pico PSU in the process but at least now I know. Thanks so much for trying to help! Smiley

That's very unfortunate. Hope you get it back running asap.

Thanks a ton for helping! Smiley

Thanks so much for replying! I've checked the voltages and it seems to be fine.
For the second part, I'm not fully comprehending what you're trying to say.
Are you saying that I should get a wire to connect the two PSU's together via a ground wire? If so, Isn't that what the multiple 24pin ports on the motherboard is for?

Thank you!

I've been reading about connecting all PSU's ground wires but never had to do it - running several rigs on a server+ATX power supply and everything is fine. The 24-pin on the motherboard is simply to turn on all PSUs together, each connector and part of the slots has a dedicated ground plane, it is on the manual.

Try this:
1) Connect each card (riser+external) to the same PSU. Power all supplies on the same strip.
2) Disconnect the power from all supplies.
3) Turn on the secondary PSU(s) before starting the main one.
4) Start the main PSU.

That's what I'm doing and everything seems stable.

You have multimeter ? Check voltages on all outputs for avialablity.
And if you use 2 psu connect GND (black) wire between spu's , Create common wire to connect GND

I've been having some trouble trying to get server power supplies to work on my 13x GTX 1060 rig. Can someone please help me?

Hardware:

- Asus B250 Mining Expert
- 2x 750w HP Platinum Server PSU's
- 1x EVGA 850w T2 (Tried to test it with this, nada.)
- 2x Breakout boards
- 13x 6 pin to 6+2 pin cables
- 1x Pico PSU (have more, tried using 1 Pico for each PSU and still, nada.)

Things I've tried/done:

-All cables are plugged into the respective PSU's (using the 6 pin to 2 6+2 pin, using the same cable for each riser/GPU.)

- Powered on the second PSU (without the Pico PSU) first (RGB light comes on on the breakout board), then the PSU server PSU with the Pico.

- Tried using an ATX power supply to power the board and CPU, powered on the server PSU first (RGB lights come on) then power on the ATX PSU. (Powers on the board but the board won't recognize that there are any cards plugged in).

I've been at it for a few hours now and I still can't get it to work. Can someone please help me? Sad
