So I’ve just recently started playing around with this whole altcoin thing and I put some money on bittrex. Now I enjoy coinbase because I see my loss and growth as the market breathes. I would expect bittrex to be the same way but I have not seen any movement whatsoever with my investment and I was wondering if anyone could enligten me as to what I’m doing wrong or how to properly use bittrex. Specifically I’ve invested in ripple, and hemp coin.

Just enhanced your trading strategy.

Bittrex has nothing to do with the volume of your trade coins so you are the one who must play with. You must do trades to gain profit and not just sit with your altcoins. Coinbase is an exchange and Bittrex is trading platform. In trading platform, you have to interact with other traders to gain profit.

You don't see any changes, either gain or loss? If yes, I think that's unlikely to happen because markets in Bittrex are so active. Double check the Estimated Value in both BTC and USD in your Account Balances. https://bittrex.com/Balance

If everyone of us misunderstood what you mean, then you should post a screenshot.

If you put money and buy alt in bittrex, alt you will not increase, but the amount of value is growing (if you invest in the right alt), because bittrex is a place of exchange and trade.

I want to ask, is your bittrex account verified?
Otherwise, it will cause problems when you will withdraw your assets.

I have invested in three coins on bittrex and it has remained at the exact same decimal number for two weeks and hasn’t done anything. I can take a screen shot to show you if you would like. I have roughly $250 of my own money invested and I haven’t seen any growth. It’s really upsetting.
I can't say bittrex is scam as i never faced any suspecious activities with my account there but when you talk about decimals, i realized you have less knowledge about trading and that's why you are watching on decimals of you available coin. I would like to give you an example that if you bought 0.01 BTC and it was equivalent to $152 at the time you bought it, now you can't expect to grow from 0.01 BTC to 0.02 or more, actually the decimals  will remain same as it was on the time you bought even after years but only value will change. For example, 0.01 BTC was $152, the same may be greater or lower than $152 from time to time according to market

I don't think it is a a scam site. I am using it more than 4 months as a verified user.
Just in last week I had a volume of 30k USD in there and no problems happened.
But As far as I know site has some problems like closing or freezing accounts in past days so it can be a point to be careful.
Travision : About you question, it is matter of popularity of you coin you invested and about situation in the market. Now markets are just went down and they will get OK soon I hope and then you will see the change in your coins.

first of all be warned that you are using a shady exchange which may scam you and run away with your money at any moment. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1954598.0;all

secondly if you have bought some altcoin it is impossible to not see any movement in its price. it will go up and down even if it is small movements. unless you have bought USDT which is $1, 99% of the times but even that is moving against bitcoin.
