What is your requirement for to give some merit?

I'm working on my anger management, so I'm going to explain something you must know before adding you to my ignored list:
1. Merits are a kind of recognition for a good work. That's mean you will need to work in your threads, to write something not only useful but also clearly written, with imagination, easy to read, nice to see.
2. Since you are new, in order to achieve that, probably you will need to read a lot before posting anything because the forum is not only about bounties and such, but also about Bitcoin, technical issues, social issues, and the mere issues from the forum itself.
3. Given the complexity of the forum, receiving merits can be hard at the very beginning, so, you must also be patient and humble.

A topic receiving merits usually have something to say to the community. There are a lot of people with a voice in here, making their best every day and making from the forum a better place. These people are receiving merits. Those whose unique intention is to report bounties and make some bucks, well, probably will never receive a merit.
The merit system is thought to stop people to rank-up if they don't make contributions to the forum itself, to other people, to knowledge, to a discussion.
So, my friend, you have two options in here:
1. To take a breath, chill, read the rules (by the way you just already broken the rules by begging for merits), to learn a lot and to contribute.
2. Or, on the contrary, to keep doing that way and be into the ignored list of many, as well as become a "Forever Junior" unable to rank-up.

Think about that as a challenge. If you try your best you will eventually become a recognized member from the community, if you just think in your "here and now", meaning to earn some bucks, you will be probably ignored and unable to become someone in here with a major rank.
That's all.

The fact that you have clearly stated that you need 10 Merit (future member status on Merit) shows to me that you are clearly here for monetary purposes and to give Zero back to this forum or contribute in any way, shape or form.

Why not try having a real good look around the site at the absolute WEALTH of information that people have bothered to post for the benefit of everyone here, learn a little, then make a valued contribution that someone might actually find a little useful.

As judging from your post history you are a million miles away from ANY Merit.

Please don't let this discourage you, this is intended as constructive criticism and hopefully you'll realise that you actually have to give a little to receive a little. Unfortunately a lot of people here can't seem to grasp that concept!  Roll Eyes

What is your requirement for to give some merit?
When I look at your last posts, I feeled the question you should have ask is " what is your minimum requirement for not to give any merit?"
Because you have done tremendous job for not getting any merits by participating bounties only  while cloging the threads Grin

You might want to change the topic title. It's violating the forum rules.

To answer your question...
Have you encountered with this thread before? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.28856522 ==> Merit & new rank requirements

The following bits answer everything that you are looking for:
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Do not beg for merit excessively.
