One thing to think of is it's summer.  So in a lot of places add cooling with fan's or other costs.  I think compared to nicehash over last 24 hours the rental seems very low on price.

I think you will have to raise the price to find someone willing to take it.

Hello,

I'm looking to rent a Antminer S5. I will not accept re-renting machines (Renting from MMR or betarigs and then renting to me).

Ill be looking to rent for the first 24hrs and then if the miner is good I will look to rent for a further 28 Days.

Obviously I need to rent cheap I'm looking preferably at $2.20 - $2.50 per day.

the miner will need to be pointed towards my pool of choice.

I'm not sure how this would work if an escrow is needed.

Any help is appreciated.

Okay lets say I rent you 1.15 th point it to where you want. And I say 28 days upfront so 28 x 2.50 is 70 dollars. power used is  600 watts x 24 = 14.4 kwatts a day so in a place with 10 cent power I spend 1.44 and collect 2.50 = 1.06 a day.

So your deal is decent as it assures the miner 28 x 1.06 = 29.68 profit if you pay up front.

If I mine that same gear today for 1 day I make 0.0102 btc at f2pool or 0.0102 x 225 = 2.295 usd - the same 1.44 = 75.5 cents.

So you 2.50 a day is decent deal for a 10 cent power miner.

I am not a 10 cent power miner so I can not do this for you.

Even at my power cost I won't mines at  0.0855 cent per kwh for the next 20 months . i guess tiring it up for 28 days turns me off .
Actually if you have  4 or more of them tying 1 up is okay as it is a certain profit. not big but certain. they you risk with your others.

In my case summer power rates kick in and most likely I  am turning all gear off very soon.

my other question is how is he going to get the coins unless he uses his BTC Address , he just can't use any log in and there would have to be a lot of trust on his part . not that  I can't be trusted, i can, just my thoughts.  i would not want some one elses log in, other then there BTC address and the pool info .

my power cost stays the same all year long we actually use more in the winter then summer believe it or not .

he would need to send the 28 days up front to an escrow guy.which is a PITA since funds freeze for 28 days and the miner and the renter need to say hello to the escrow guy every few days to be sure all is well.  or he could just send the 28 da up front to the miner and hope the miner is honest.

You also need to consider your competitors in terms of what they effectively paying for 1.1 TH of hashpower. Using Westhash, they are paying better than $3 for an S5 equivalent miner pointed at them. That's with a $225 BTC price, and their current rates. This all changes by the hour, but offer $2.50/day just doesn't make sense to most miners. This is what you might pay a friend to pay of hist costs, but not a stranger to mine on your behalf.

It looks like at .000015 it is $3.70 per day and .000012 it comes to $3.09 on MMr.

Either way good luck as a s5 with free electricity would make about $2.70-$2.80 per day. Otherwise with 1.62 for electricity and the rest trying to recover miner costs.

You're offering too little dough for renting an S5, I'd rent you an S1 at that daily price.
If you don't make it worth while, no one will talk to you... what you offer's an insult to most miners.
Check out HashNest - the S5 market opened a while back... you might be too late though.
There's eBay too... miners in here will make it want it worth their time where eBay sellers need money.
It's a "secret" website most miners never look at but should instead of going out of business.
Good luck renting one below $5 a day at any rate; I wouldn't rent one out for less than that.
The price is not favorable for miners to rent out their hashing power; some do but a lot less than 2 years ago.

I'm not in the business of renting hardware anymore myself, waste of time.
Many other miners have followed that same path.

Hope this helps...

mmr and betarig doesn't re-rent machines, there are users like us there,  that let you rent their machine, i see no difference really, in renting from here or there, besides that with mmr you are protected by their support
