And if you used 3rd party or custodial service back in 2009/2010, AFAIK almost all of them no longer exist.

He is not the first to claim that in 2009 or 2010 he suddenly decided to buy BTC, then he paid with PP and then after xx years he remembered that he had some kind of wealth that he obviously could not access. I remember a story that I read here on the forum about a character who claimed something similar, and he bought BTC from some person who offered it to him in the park...

The OP may have something, but there is also a great possibility that there is nothing - and the fact that he does not want to accept any advice or give more information certainly points to the latter.

I know there is someone out there who could help me recover my wallet I understand it sounds to good to be true so I am willing to submit a lie detector test if thats what it takes to get a experts help

You make those statement, but you haven't shared any details in past 5 months. For example,
1. Which software, website or tools did you use to create Bitcoin wallet?
2. Are you sure it's seed phrase or 12/24 words? It could be brain wallet instead, although i'm not sure whether it's already exist in 2010.
3. Have you tried checking your email or browsing history to get any hints?
3. Have you tried searching for files which contain name "bitcoin" on your computer or other electronic devices?

And if you used 3rd party or custodial service back in 2009/2010, AFAIK almost all of them no longer exist.

Bitcoins aren't stored in a server that can be accessed by "someone" like the Bitcoin Core developers or any expert.
A person's possession of any amount of bitcoin is determined if he has the private key (in any form) that can spend it.
Without it, there nothing anyone can do to recover your bitcoins even if you're saying the truth.

There are experts here that already given their ideas based from the limited ifnormation that you provided and I wont repeat them.
All experts can do it to guide you on how to find your private key or the wallet that you could've used, but you provided little to no info.

You have your wallet and seed phrase and you don't know where you put your seed phrase? Seems confusing with this statement it makes a contradiction at first if you are the original owner of course you know where you store your coin in a particular platform. I guess just stolen wallet. This thread will just seek an attention for scammers like others telling they can recover your money.

Face to face ? more like a 10mm JHP to the face - come on guys, he is a scammer, probably trying to lure out some OG to rob him at gun point or his friends will follow you home and then rob your home.

You're absolutely right, as a newbie you need to be extremely careful with the kind of project you participate. there are some scam project before you withdraw, you  will be ask to provide your wallet seed phrase, as a newbie you won't know that they can easily access your wallet with that seed phrase, probably you might just provide the seed phrase. after they succeed in getting the seed phrase they can move all your assets,  That is why as a newbie you need to be careful so that you won't fall a victim.

Where do I enter my seed phrase

You was able to buy bitcoin but forget to process or input your seed phrase or private key on a wallet where it stores? I doubt that you are being honest here. If you want to seek attention do it on the right way. I cant believe that you yourself cant handle that as basic rule of investing on crypto keep your keys and know how to use it well. Funds can get lost along the way if you dont know how to do this kind of activity.

This was the same question I was about to ask, with every crypto wallet you are given some rules or guidelines when starting to open a new account, you are given instructions about how to write down recovery seed or back up your key, also you are told how to import the keys too.

How come OP is asking how to enter the seed phrase? I am guessing he fell for a scam himself, there was a time I came across people selling BTC wallet online some years ago, claiming the wallets are not empty, they have at least 1 BTC in them, I don't know how true this is but those days Bitcoin was hella cheap.

It is also possible that this person is just pretending to not know, maybe to lure people in somehow and used them? Funny thing is he could be hunted too, someone might try to take this seed from him claiming they can help him.

You gave zero information of value.  The things you should NOT provide are Seeds, Private Keys or uploading DAT files.  Other than this, at least you can explain more so others can help you out.

Exactly (highlight and emphasis by me)!

OP is a newly registered account. Nobody knows how much experience OP has and whatnot. Specific questions have been asked, basically none of them have been answered by OP. If OP lacks understanding or knowledge, he can tell this and further help will likely be adjusted accordingly. But none of this happened so far and that's an additional red flag for me already.

User's name somewhat implies origin of town Abilene, Texas? To use a cliché: aren't Texans a little too permissive with their ubiquitous shooting irons? The last thing I'd do would be to meet unknown people who could be armed to their teeth because they think it's normal.

You don't need to offer or spend any money since you asked for help in this forum. Since you claim you have collected bitcoins since the beginning of bitcoin, if your seed phrase is correct and you can access your account you will get a lot of value for your bitcoins. I think you can login your account very easily with your seed phrase in that case you just need to download your specific wallet from internet and you can login with your seed phrase. But keep one thing in mind if you give your seed phrase to someone else you will lose money very soon.

This is why I don't think he really need a help since as being said he knows or have the private keys so he can input this any time he want on which wallet he used way back then. Its crazy that he seeks help for other people knowing that if he's legitimately asking for help on random people then the risk  for him is so high to lose his money since that person he contact might stole his balances. Also for sure he know how to access his wallet so I really had a feeling that there's something shady that might possible to happen here. So I guess just like what other said those people who show some interest to help must be careful since we don't know if he want us to download something then compromise or do other bad attempts that can put us at huge risk.

Do you seriously think some body here would meet a Newbie account face to face to 'help them with a Wallet recovery' considering the wrench attacks on the rise and particularly the situations of people getting tortured to hand out information about their Bitcoin holdings?

You gave zero information of value.  The things you should NOT provide are Seeds, Private Keys or uploading DAT files.  Other than this, at least you can explain more so others can help you out.

What happens if some body meets you face to face and can not help you out with recovering your Bitcoin or finds out you do not even have any Bitcoin at all?  It is not like a kid helping out their grandma with technology, we are all strangers here and no body guarantees any thing.

Where do I enter my seed phrase

How can someone answer this question if you don't provide any details about the wallet software you used?

So far I can only give you the advise: DON'T enter a seed phrase on any online website; DON'T input a seed phrase in apps you didn't verify thoroughly to be valid, not scammy, known to be good; better not enter your seed phrase on an online device which security status you can assess. Your coins may be stolen otherwise.

If your wallet software is from 2009/2010 it's not likely you have mnemonic recovery words (seed phrase) at all. But again, I repeat, how can you expect decent help when you don't provide any more details?

You're in the right place to get solution to it without you spend any money because what you are asking right now is very simple to do, if truly you have BTC in that wallet you are hodling the seeds phrase because we have seen cases like this and people later discovered that the person is a scammer, trying to scam people in the forum.

All you need to do is to enter your Google Play store to look for the name of the wallet you store the BTC, and download it in your laptop or phone, after that, you can enter the wallet to use the seeds phrase to claim your BTC back.

I believe you can see that is very simple to recover, and you don't need anybody to PM you to help you to do that because they will going to scam the BTC from you.

hmm, You are just a newbie and willing to share 50% of the amount in reward for the person who will help you, and in my own view, this may be surely a scam as the newbie has no trust in the forum he/she has to built some trust on the forum by giving it a quality time of him/her so the member now the user deal with trustworthy eyes. So there is no logic as you just registered today and want to get help from the forum members and at the same time you are offering the helper 50% amount of the wallet haha...

On the other hand, You have not cleared the context at all. For that You should explain the full problem in detail like what are you experiencing on your side as nobody really know the actual problem that you are facing so must explain your problem next time but before that build trust in the forum environment.

I may be wrong but it does look suspicious. This is not the first time I have seen scammers using this story. It’s incredible that there is anyone gullible enough to believe OP’s story.

OP you need to provide more information about your problem. The OP says you know your seed phrase so what’s stopping you from accessing your wallet? Is it that you forgot which wallet or website you used back then? There aren’t a lot of wallets in 2009/2010 so it shouldn’t be so difficult to narrow it down. Good luck finding someone in your city who can help. Be careful of scammers and thieves.

You did not mention what's the real problem here, you have the seed phrase, just import your wallet then, and the money will be there. If you really have the seed phrase. What's the big deal here that you are offering 50% of what you have? And you also want to meet face to face. Don't you think you can find a better person in your area? This is not a regional forum though but you might not get lucky in getting such face to face deal here.

I suggest visiting some freelancing platforms or your local service providers for a better experience. Although its not very hard to retrieve your wallet from the seed phrase you have. If you are legit! which I also doubt no offense. I suggest don't become over excited and over caring as well. Because in both cases we make mistakes. So don't share your seed phrase to anyone.

You give basically no useful information or details about your recovery problem. So far everybody here has to guess what this is about. You don't need to disclose how much coins are in, eh, where again? You don't even told this...

Let's assume, this is all serious. You can't get help if serious helpers don't know any details of your problem. Think hard, what can be made public and which details shouldn't be made public. Not everybody here is friendly, remember that.

My advice: stay public with your issue. Sweet words in hidden PMs can lure you into trouble and part you from your coins.

You offer 50% of your coins which is kind of too much. It looks a bit like a red flag. I'm not accusing you of anything, but 50% is sort of shady, compared to a professional service that will only charge you 20% in case of success! Seriously, I don't know what to say. I mean, in the end it's your decision.

There are a lot of question marks. Where are the private keys that can spend your coins? Do you have a wallet file? Which wallet did you use? Do you have a web-wallet? Is the web-wallet service still operational? What secret needs to be broken to gain access to your coins?

Do not disclose any details that can lead to your loss of your coins! If you don't know what you can disclose and what you better shouldn't, ask here publicly.

Give the recovery task to Dave of https://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/contact/. He's an expert, doesn't scam people and will guide you through the process. Dave will also only charge you 20% and only when he succeeds, zero otherwise. When your wallet is worth more than $100k his charge could even drop to 15% if wallet's password isn't exceptionally complex.

Dave also doesn't need your full wallet.dat file (only a portion of it), anyone who asks for the whole wallet.dat, is very very likely a scammer. Be careful!!!
Dave will guide you to extract some little data of the encrypted wallet passphrase from your wallet.dat file, that's all he needs. If you give initialy more than that or your full wallet.dat to someone else who claims he can help, you can kiss your coins goodbye.

I have no affiliation with Dave's reputed business, I just cite from his cite. His account walletrecoveryservices seems inactive. This is his announcement of his services in this forum:
Bitcoin Wallet Recovery Services

Here's a quote from a Bitcoin Core dev and reputable forum's staff member about Dave's service:
There are many programs that can brute force things, and when run on a distributed system or a cluster, they can brute force passwords very quickly. Given wordlists of potential password candidates and word mangling rules, it can be relatively easy to brute force a password.

I have actually known about wallet recovery services, and you don't need to send them the full wallet, just parts of it which can be dumped using pywallet. They require the part regarding the password and 1 or 2 addresses from the wallet that can be empty. This safeguards your coins if they should try to steal them. The info about this is here: http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/information.html

AGAIN, OP, you will be contacted by a lot of people, all pretending to be able to recover your coins. They might be able, but most of them might scam you. You can't know whom you can trust. Talk with Dave, that's likely your best chance. To recover the wallet's password it would help immensely if you can remember how you usually constructed your passwords. People are mostly lazy with their passwords and stick to their known routine or have a bunch of re-used passwords.

P.S.
To my knowledge in those early years of Bitcoin there weren't many options for exchanges or other wallets. So I'm assuming OP has an old legacy BitcoinGUI wallet.dat file. Don't quite remember when BitcoinGUI (today Bitcoin Core) introduced wallet.dat encryption passphrases... (very early wallets didn't have any encryption of the wallet file at all).

In 2009/2010 was it possible to create your own seed phrase ?

The seed phrase you said you have from your 2009/2010 is enough for you to access the old wallet. Do you by any chance know the wallet you used back then maybe it is old blockchain.info?
Check https://github.com/blockchain/unused-My-Wallet/blob/master/mnemonic_words_v3.html to see if those seed phrase words belong to it.
I don't know how developed the system was then but it's possible to create your seed phrase if you follow the right procedure.

His inbox must have been full already from the users volunteering to do it for him taking half of the amount. Easy to believe those scammers really until you give that dat file of yours.

$20 worth of BTC during that time, must be really a lot. I think the value was less than $1 at that time. But this could also be a scam that OP is orchestrating. We just have no idea whether OP is also a scam, its too good to be true indeed.

In 2009, 2010, there is no wallet support mnemonic seed.

BIP-39 was created in 2013 [1].
Electrum claimed their own mnemonic seed was created 2 years earlier, in 2011.[2]

First, move this thread to the bitcoin discussion.

Secondly, if you have your seed phrase, you can just import it into one of the trusted wallets, like the Electron, Sparrow, or Blue wallet, depending on the type of device you like using.

There is no need to promise anybody something in exchange for help if you truly have those bitcoins. If you go around looking for someone to buy their help, you might get scammed.
