I can't see it going above $1k with the US elections looming at the end up the year keeping the US economy in shit. Russia playing footsie with Ukraine. China banning BTC for the 58th time.
We won't stabilize at $600. Bitcoin will constantly change its value and we may very well see $1,000-$1,200 within the next 6 months, but nothing more than that.

I agree with fudbuster. I'm guessing between $1000-$1500 by the end of this year and easily $2200+ by end of first quarter next year (fingers crossed)

I think we are looking at sometime in 2015 for $2000 a Bitcoin. I wouldn't be surprised to see it past $1000 this year however.

I don't think we will stabilize at $600 for the rest of the year. There has been too much adoption and business development for us not to move anywhere.
There could always be some terrible news that we don't know about yet that could plunge us temporarily downward, but ultimately I think we should at least see $800 in 2014
Agreed. I think we'll be somewhere near $900 near the year end. Maybe have some crisis before then dropping us to $400 before then though. I don't think we'll pass $1200 since many will jump off the rocket before it gets that high. We hung around $900 for almost a month, I think we'll go back.

i believe that the hash rate and difficultydoes have a effect on the price to a certain point. could it make it double tripple in value idk about taht but it does have some efffect wen you cant mine them anymore as easily ya know

A rally just from an ATH of $1250 to $2000? That would be the shortest rally bitcoin has ever had and would be seen as quite bearish by the speculators.

My prediction.... (PS-I'm correct 99% of the time):
BTC will continue sideways for the rest of Jan and most of Feb and March... It will hit a ATH of around $1600 by min-end April. It will fall back again shortly after selloffs from people who got in and held from November 2013 and trail around 900-1000 until June. Around July/August some exciting things will happen (facebook twin's ETF, Amazon, Netflix, and/or Wallstreet) that will shoot the price up to $4500. It'll fall to $3000ish after more selloffs from hodlers like me and move sideways for a while. Near Sept-Nov 2014 we'll have some other event that will push the price up around $5000 as the new ATH and by the end of 2014 we may go down to the $3000 level but that will be the new $700.
Feel free to take this as your financial advice. Always buy high and sell low, and invest more than you can afford to lose, it's much more fun that way.
