It is very good that you quit Cryptsy. It is a dead exchange now. No trading there and no withdraw.

That's was right on time. It went from bad to worse after that.
Lucky you, getting out just in time.

The Cryptsy is the same as Mt Gox. Both exchanges are still operating after they lost customer money but did not tell customers.

Yeah it's how it is with crypto. Scamming is the normal thing to do.
But when you do such a thing outside crypto. a nice jail with some nicer cellmates will await you.

Nice jail with long centence, of course u will be marked in every news pappers and tv. Well negative storys about cryptsy are around us for already several months. There is lot of negative comments, people complain about slow withdraw, cant withdraw big amounts..
I think its good u quit them, there is other better ones with better reputation.

Quiting them was probably the best think you could do to protect your investment.
I remember a lot of people were too late and ended up waiting for their withdrawals.

Good choice, their site has become bad with the new improvements. It's all meant to earn more money for the same service.

Then it is risky since you may never know when you get your money if you withdraw..

They created this problems themself. By  being so lazy and not fixing the problems people had with wallets.
So yes I fully support your decision. I quitted them a few weeks ago too

There's no way they can keep operating profitably when their customers are jumping ship like they are.
There's no way they could have been operating profitably even when times were good.  They claim to have somewhere around 40 employees, which is by far the highest overhead of any exchange.  Yet even with 1000 BTC/day of trading they are only earning 8 BTC/day with their 0.5% in fees (0.25% each for buyer and seller).  Even before any operating costs, that's less than $100/employee/day.  I'm sure they're burning venture capital cash like crazy, and once that venture capital dries up, they will have to close.

So I have been defending Cryptsy over the last two years, although I know it allowed negative balance. But yesterday, when I withdrawn ETH, they said it's in a transaction which does not exist, their support is progressively getting more clueless (some random mcdonalds folks employed I recon) and they are unable to fix or at least explain their issues.
I quit cryptsy long before because many scam accusation threads are there against cryptsy. They are bloddy scammers

Never trusted Cryptsy and never will. I just trust my coins on there after hearing about all these withdrawals issues. One or two people, I'll take consideration but this is a lot more than intended or predicted.

Had slow issues last year...Ok...slow...make me angry but still..Now they are just stealing...Put everything on my pc wallet, fuck it.

I used cryptsy before.
Since april  i think i didn't use cryptsy because i was too busy with my work.
Now i wanted to go to my account, but cryptsy blocked my account because i was more than six months inactive.
I have sent them already mails, but 0 answers.

Crptsy was a pos a year ago when i pulled all my coins from it. I'm surprised it's not dead already.
I give it less than a month before it goes under totally.  There's no way they can keep operating profitably when their customers are jumping ship like they are.  I pulled everything out of there about 1.5 months ago.  Hopefully everyone can do the same without losses.

Craptsy has been a joke for a while now. I'm sure it's like some of the others here said and they have a fractional reserve and they also pay games with wallets and also arb games. I only ever traded a small time amount of coins there and that was over a year ago when I noticed odd things going on with withdraws. I'd stay away as it will most likely implode in on it's self.

OK this is good info about Cryptsy, but hopefully Spoetnik will stay away.

It's only a matter of time now before they officially go belly up.  I don't think anyone trusts them anymore, and no one should.  This is too bad, man.  Another black eye for bitcoin, but hopefully something good springs up out of this.

Your welcome.. for the vast amount of info i have shared on Cryptsy.

Seems mighty odd too you agree with me and still follow me around on the same topics having jabs at me.
Exactly as HippieTech has been doing.

I also have no idea what your problem is or why you repeatedly keep bad mouthing me behind my back around the forum.

If Cryptsy is insolvent, and are knowingly allowing deposits so they can pay other user's withdrawals, that's a clear scam. From the outside, this seems to be what's happening based on previous experiences with now-dead exchanges. But given that the site's frontman is well known, why would he risk prosecution and not come clean if that's the case?

NO.
I DIDNT KNOW THAT.

How could I expect such thing...
I traded small amount for months on poloniex and other smaller trade without hearing about a 'wallet' maintenance.
The worst, Is the maintenance looks 'unscheduled'.
I have no idea when it started, I have no idea when it will end.
Still no answer from support, and the mod are only paid to moderate-monkey - they are as clueless,  (or maybe only useless).

So yeah, fuck me.
Not even sure to get those 2btc(worth in other coin) back before the new year x(

But hey, my deposit worked like a charm, so they have that rolling for them.

Never mind apparently i am just spouting off Noise, Trolling with FUD etc.
Carry on sending coins to Cryptsy ..it's a wonderful exchange with no bad history.

I quit Cryptsy ~2013 (almost right after I got to know it) for all of the above reasons. It has never been any good.

Why on earth would anyone defend their "service" for two years, that's some serious unconditional support.

Was waiting for that damn XRP Wallet maintenance for days... no fucking wonder.

Anyone got a successful WD with some other coin than DOGE? (which they price at 25% more, yeah)

A list of 'working' coin would be very helpful!

A reminder guys..
These topics on Exchanges tend to get moved to the "Service Discussion" forum-section.
I take it the mods give us a bit of time but.. but it will be moved mark my words !
Sadly this loses the warning for people.. whether it's Cryptsy or some other exchange having problems.

Also if you guys all want me to collect up which coin is not working etc come and tell me on IRC.
I have a link to the Cryptsy IRC channel in my SIG..
you don't even have to install software, you can use Web Chat from your browser.
So if you all come and bitch you *might get a response from Cryptsy (unlikely)
Or i will have it all logged so i can make a topic as to which coins work and which ones don't.

This cloud of information on them right now is being used to their advantage.
If more people knew what was going on they would not be able to continue dicking people around.

They are going to make a runner. Looking at how they operate its clear that they're preparing for the pre-runner stage, will soon close the exchange, block withdrawals and tell everyone that some fake dos deeply touched their databases.
