I have sent also different tokens to the exchange, respectively it was the same token, but I didn´t realize that the token migrated to the new smart-contract, so I sent my old tokens to Probit and they said, that if I would like to recover my funds, I have to pay $500 fee  Cheesy.
This is crazy, how can they say that ? 500$ so they can get your tokens back for you, this is really a bullshit and greedy exchange. Btw is the value of those tokens more than 500$ ?

Mistakes sometimes come from very small things, so this is the lesson for you in this market. Examine everything thoroughly before acting and for cryptocurrency, you need to be a lot more careful to avoid mistakes like this. Your money has been lost forever and no one can ever claim it

i sent 200 USDT from my Binance wallet to a USDC address of the website justanotherpanel.com because i wanted to buy their services.

Binance claims the website can still recover and use the funds.

The website claims they cant do it.

Binance says they are lieing.

This is the transaction: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xbff7be574d332daabe178ba43a8954074c2dc5ae0114bbbc4c437fb795768625

Could you please advice what to do?

I hate to say this buddy but there's nothing more you can do for committing this simple mistake. Before you send it to a specific address, always take time to research even if it consumes some time for you.

I've been there. I could have almost lost my rewards when he told me to send me USDT address. I could have almost sent him the USDT-20 address (which I thought it was the real USDT before), but he said it should be the standard USDT one and not the ERC-20 USDT.

We all know that excitement comes along the way when we send or receive funds, but we always have to verify and double check first. USDC isn't USDT.
It's sadly true, dude! I'm sorry to hear that but there's nothing you can do for this situation. I hope you'll get a lesson out of it. We all have mistakes like this. Just remember to double-check the information when transferring or receiving funds in this market. It takes a bit more time, but it's worthy!

USDT and USDC are different, each exchange has explained in terms & conditions that you should not send tokens to another wallet platform, I'm sorry about your incident.

you can see all the transaction confirmations: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xbff7be574d332daabe178ba43a8954074c2dc5ae0114bbbc4c437fb795768625

Binance is correct. The recipient can use the USDT sent to him/her. Binance uses the ERC20 version of USDT. USDC is also an ERC20. The private key of the recipient for both tokens will be the same. There is nothing Binance can do about it, it has already left their exchange. You must contact the recipient only to get this resolved.

It's possible to get your usdc back, just mail the exchange team or better screenshot the transaction through etherscan and send to the team, hopefully they will get back to you and refund your usdc, be more careful next time

then why does Binance support claim the merchant - justanotherpanel.com has successfully received the coins? Even when it was USDT to USDC address.
The transaction went ok and confirmed and this mistake usually happens if the sender hasn't doubled check the transaction. As you know, crypto transactions are irreversible that's why Binance can't do anything with it.
I've told you to contact the justanotherpanel.com which you have sent the USDT. I don't know how they do it but if that website tells you that you can't claim it anymore, there's nothing you can do.

These 2 Stablecoins are different, you should contact the website that receives this amount. If they can recover it, you will receive money, but if they cannot do it, you should forget about it. And this is entirely your fault, not the exchange and the website you use

My exchange is Binance, and they claim the recepient: justanotherpanel.com must still be able to find and receive the transaction, even when I sent from USDT to USDC address. Binance says they are lieing they didnt receive the funds.

p.s. i always thought and heard about ''tether usd coin, usd coin, stable coin connected to the dollar''. So i didnt know there was an alternative to Tether called USDC.

You sent USDT to justanotherpanel.com, right? If yes binance could be right about them lying because both USDC and USDT are on ethereum chain and they must have received it on their address. I think you should contact justanotherpanel's support keep asking them to look into it. Also, check the address on etherscan to check whether it has any USDT in it or not.

Right. Transaction from my Binance wallet to the website justanotherpanel.com

This is the confirmation page: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xbff7be574d332daabe178ba43a8954074c2dc5ae0114bbbc4c437fb795768625

I am a bit confused as to which field is the address where they have the USDT in?

To: Contract 0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7 (Tether USD)
Tokens Transferred: From Binance 2To 0x8f87e145b1899de7cd70534af6821198e7986166 For 199.372688 ($199.41) Tether USD (USDT)

Is it ''to'' or is it ''tokens transferred''? Could you please have a look?

Have you contacted customer support? Wait, are you using the USDC wallet of an exchange right? if it is true, it is better for you to directly contact their customer support. They will probably help ou guide the ways you should do. In this case, Some exchanges will likely not be responsible for negligence made by the user. This includes the recipient wallet address fault. However, we don't know if we don't try it, right? At least you have tried to return your funds.
And this can be a learning for us all. cases like this are very common. So, will we repeat the same thing again?
It takes a lot of time for the care department, and they often ignore these requests because it is beyond the capabilities of the employees. I think this is the most valuable lesson in life because if a wrong money transfer can make you very sad so before moving, you should check 2 or 3 times to make sure the wallet is right.

I sent 200 USDT to a USDC address. Is it possible to recover funds?

I hope something good happens.
But I think if you send USDT to the USDC address, your coins will be lost. Cannot be recovered even though USDT and USDC are using the same blockchain. Except USDT that you send to the Wallet platform is not an exchange platform.
but there is no harm in contacting the market first so that they can help recover their money, don't give up until the market gives an explanation of whether or not it can be recovered, and the money is not small, it's pretty much in my opinion
If both have been using the same blockchain and it can be recovered easily and remember exchange sites will always be used one address for all of tokens. 1 address for 1 account and I have tried it so many times and it looks like OP just need to check his address for the second time.

By seeing all, it seems that you make this transaction from Binance exchange to your software wallet. You didn't make this transaction to your Ethereum wallet. After check everything I don't think you can get back your money. Even Binance exchange can't help you there. Next time check twice before make any transaction. Sorry for your lost.

I guess if that was exchange site's address and you can recover your funds as the deposit address between USDT and USDC should be the same. You must ask the contact support about that and I think it can be recovered.

Some exchanges will never help to recover wrongly deposited fund, hence they give a stern warning about this. Some exchanges will never add a deposit to multiple recharges when one fails to meet with the minimum deposit. I feel this should change.

this kind of mistake sometimes happens to everyone accidentally. However, actually, this can be avoided by more carefulness. it is always told that we must double-check the wallet address that we aim to refer to. We must check them and ensure every detail is true.

however, whatever the condition, it has happened and you must be ready for any kind of possibility. Some may not have tolerant if we send the token to the wrong address. however, you must still try to get it back.
1. You must contact the customer support of the exchange 9it may be difficult but this is the only thing to do).
2. Follow every detail that they told you. If it cannot be accepted, just be ready for the possibilities.

If the 200 usdt is sent to USDC address on p2pb2b exchange then you are in trouble, they have already warned people to only send tokens to the appropriate wallet address, depositing a different token won't reflect and that's good bye to your 200 USDT

almost every wallet or services has a warning like that ,so its steer clear that transactions are ireverisible anymore  . 200 usdt is like 200 usd too so quite a big amount for me already but i dont know bout him maybe this amount is not that huge to him because he was careless enough to process a wrong transaction   . next time he should know what to do before sending a coins  because we dont know maybe he wont be lucky next time and sent a really huge amount on a wrong address again   .
indeed many places of exchange and wallets that often provide information like this before making a transaction using cryptocurrency on their platform, for cases that occur like this I think if at a local exchange place in my country might be able to contact assistance for further action but when you send to wallet then there is nothing you can do but wait until the wallet supports to open usdc assets.

Usually this case also often happens to new traders who still don't have much experience and are still not too clear about the differences in cryptocurrency assets.

Well if it's Binance, then there's no problem here at all.
Firstly, USDC and USDT are ERC-20 and Binance wallet for ERC-20 compatible wallet are always the same including that of ETH.
Secondly, you should scan both wallet on etherscan.io to confirm if it's same funds that's there. Also check deposit history.
You shouldn't panic and you should talk to a customer service.

Irreversible transactions really pain in the ass, he can try asking for the support from the exchange whether to chat the team or send an email to

You are in a hard situation mate, sending a request to binance to send you the information of the recipient will be hard since this is confidential. And you might not get it back since there is a reminder that you must send only USDC to USDC address or USDT to USDT address.

The address you sent usdt to belongs to Binance and they can easily recover and refund you on your USDC address, however every exchanges have their own rules and you are strictly said that this address must be used for only depositing USDC coin, right? To refund you, they have to go through a huge lengthy process and I dount Binance would do that. Try contacting their support and update us here. The chance is too low though.

Hmm, its a tough spot to be in as any crypto transactions by default are difficult to reverse. However, in a situation where you performed it on a platform then there might be some little hope left. Try contacting whom ever you think might be able to help, the sooner you do it the better.

If the transfer you did is going out of Binance then you must contact the recipient. They have already gave you an instruction that it should be " justanotherpanel.com" that must retrieve or solve that transaction.
If the transfer you made is going in on Binance, they'll resolve this quickly I believe but since it's no longer in their exchange. You have to contact that website which is the recipient as you have mentioned.

Indeed, I think this transaction is out of Binance capability since it was going out of the exchange( my guess considering Binance reply).  @OP,  you have not clarified if you are transferring from your wallet to Binance or from Binance to outside the exchange wallet. If the USDT is going out of Binance, there is nothing they can do.

It should be there in your transaction history, it sounds weird though that they are denying that.
Unfortunately, that is not reversible or unreversible unless if the recipient will voluntarily return your lost USDT that accidentally placed on the wrong address.

This is easy money from an error transaction of the exchange, there are some services that will recover for free, but sad to say others won’t.

I sent 200 USDT to a USDC address. Is it possible to recover funds?

I think if Wallet Exchange cannot be recovered. USDT and USDC are actually the same platform, the ERC20 version. But USDT also has an OMNI version. If the same platform can receive all coins, not only USDT and USDC. And can make a withdrawal. The problem is that Wallet Exchange is different, it does not accept the option to withdraw coins other than those specified.

For example, the exchange wallet uses Coinpayment.net as a place to store all coins, for each erc20 version of the coin it will be the same, only withdrawals can be made through the Coinpayment account belonging to the exchange.

I think you can ask the owner of the platform that you used to receive usdc coins.

And you can check whether the platform supports USDC. And check whether the wallet is the same, if it's the same then you will receive USDC even if you send it to USDT.

in some exchanges if it's both erc20 the address is always same and if this happens it should stay safe for example like biki, but if each coin has a different address 100% USDT you must be lost but just try asking the cs but I think the chances are small.

If you send to the exchange ERC-20 wallet and the exchange accepts USDC tokens too, then the ethereum address should be the same and they should automatically credit your funds. If they do not accept this token, then probably your funds are unfortunately lost.

200 USDT? That is really a huge amount! I think you can`t recover it since we can`t return back the transaction, once you send it assume that it will be delivered to the recepient. Unless otherwise the support and core of the exchange will make a way to recover your funds.

I think this should be a lesson for all that there are separated address in every coin in exchange. You have to be careful in sending your assets because there is no undo in transacting online.

In what exchange you did this? you have to contact the support of that exchange and ask them to retrieve the funds that you have deposited wrongly. Well, some exchanges doesn't tolerate wrong deposits of their customers and that's no hope if they have that kind of rule.
But, most of the exchanges that I've seen with this kind of concern, they have answered and help the person that did it. Contact now and write a support ticket to that exchange you sent 200 USDT wrongly.

I do not think it is possible exchange have zero tolerance towards such error. Most of the time they do mention while displaying the wallet address a disclaimer which clearly mentions which cryptocurrency needs to be send and how much minimum will be accepted.

I think he needs to forget about it.

All exchanges will always provide clear instructions or a note stating that Do Not send XYZ coins to this address other than ABC coins. These instructions are there to reduce the chaotic reversal process.

Always remember that it's very critical to check your ERC20 address on exchanger while sending the coins.
