The best thing you can do now is to be patient since you confirmed that the system is slow hopefully they will get back to you. Try to get yourself busy so that you will not dwell so much thinking about it.

This is why sending money upfront to any person or exchange is always risky. There is no guarantee that you will get what you paid for and there is nobody to help recover the money if anything goes wrong. The only thing you can do now is to wait and hope for them to respond and resolve your missing Swift transfer ASAP. Some of these exchanges do have solvency issues and will give you the silent treatment for ages (hopefully not indefinitely!).

SWIFT transfers are quite fast. Some even arrive within hours or faster after the sending bank executes the payment order so there really isn’t any valid reason to block access to funds sent on the dates you mentioned. I can think of only one reason... they are stalling access to your money while they use it (and those of others) for reasons we can only guess.

Yes, I agree, they may just be trying to buy time until they can pay you out. I am not sure how authorities would handle a case like this. It would probably just cause a larger mess than you have now.

The thing is, I'm not trying to withdraw cash... I sent them cash and waiting for it to show. Still heard nothing from them.

You'll just have to wait, unfortunately. Be careful with these types of companies though...they are like banks. They don't hold your coins like they should, they gamble with it and try to make profits with it. Now while price chart is going up that huge, many customers try to get out their funds and they are simply not solvent enough. You have to wait a couple of hours/days/months until new users added funds to pay you out.

I sent two international wire transfers to coincheck.com

25 DEC 2017: $500
03 JAN 2017: $555

I have the Swift Confirmation message indicating the the amount was successfully sent.
I've sent them multiple support tickets and I heard nothing from them yet.

They claim they have a large number of support tickets and will answer in sequence.
Very slow response. This is not how an exchange with this magnitude should treat its customers.

What should I do now? Is there a Japanese authority website to report them?
If they answer like that then you can wait
