Study the past, if you would divine the future.
when i created a new address and sent money to it, it took some time for the bitcoins to register on the blockchain but it finally did, but like other said since its new that is probably why.

I doubt someone would bother hacking an empty SR account. How could they possibly know you were going to make a deposit? It's more likely that you accidently requested a new address, and since you haven't made a deposit to that account it brought up the "Are you ready?" thing. I made a new account on there (used to use my friends) and it did the same thing, although I didn't send any BTC to the first address.

Also, it's probably not a good idea to have your SR address in your sig. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of anonymity on SR.

Whew well that's a bit of a relief.

The thing that is freaking me out is that every time I click make a deposit, I am getting the same wallet address, which wasn't the same wallet I was shown the 1st time (the one I copy & pasted & sent 2btc to)

I thought Ive been hacked and when I clicked copy, somehow I copied another wallet address. Idk, I hope I am being a super paranoid stoned idiot right now..

Words of encouragement I appreciate!!!

Probably not. You probably clicked 'Get New Address' on SR which just generates a new address for your account. As far as I know, it does not deprecate the old ones meaning you can still fund them and the balance should be credited to your SR account (only the latest one 'generated' is ever displayed which I'd guess could be confusing to users). I would suggest you wait until you get 6 confirmations on your TX (you have 2 now) - then wait 15 minutes for the SR system to update its website. If your deposit hasn't appeared after those two conditions are satisfied, you might have a problem - but preemptive panicking is not necessary at this stage.

It shouldn't matter if you reset the address. When any BTC is sent to any address associated with your account it should credit you.

Okay so I decided to give SR a try today...  Roll Eyes

Set up a new acct, went to my acct and clicked make a deposit. Quickly read, copy & pasted where it said when your ready, send btc to this address:

So I went to my blockchain and sent. Instantly I had a weird feeling so I went to my acct page to see if I can see an uncomfirmed transaction coming in. Then I clicked make a deposit again and then it read the same message, but displayed a different wallet address.......

I refreshed it again only to see that same address =(

Idk how I copy & pasted the wrong address?! Am I fucked?

EDIT: SR has a method to their madness, everything worked out!
