I asked if she had ever heard of the KuCoin Exchange or any cryptocurrency related companies there. She said she had never heard of anything of such there. She said she worked at this place for couple years already.

KUcoin should provide more proof on this.

I used KuCoin quite a bit from late 2017 to 2018.  They are certainly a bit sketchy, I faced an issue with a delayed deposit of $TOMO and customer service was unable to give me any answers except 'wait'.  stopped trading there subsequently.
This is the first time I have observed a complain against Kucoin. However, I have not used Kucoin many times, it was 4/5 times probably for exchanging ETH into BTC. Their user interface is nice, prompt and user friendly. Faced no problem.

I use it for some time already, because in 2017 I joined a few ICO which were listed there (it was the best exchange available for those coins).

Also, recently I traded some of those shitcoins to GRIN, which also is traded there.
As I didn't study about GRIN yet, and I don't know how to operate their wallet software, I am holding my GRIN coins at Kucoin exchange. It is a small amount of money, and I will probably move it from there soon, I am just lazy now to learn how to use a GRIN wallet.

As far as I have used, I have no complains about Kucoin, which always looked like a nice exchange. I know I shouldn't trust any exchange.

does anybody here use it?
I'm using it. Since 04 April 2019 I have a verified account there (proof).
There's never been a problem, everything's workin' fine. However, I trade there pretty rarely.

I've been trading at Kucoin for the last couple of years. Within this big time period, I didn't face any problems or issues as far as I can recall; withdrawals/deposits all processed on time. Moreover, I've noticed that a lot of projects made their appearance first at Kucoin before getting to Binance. I used to trade SelfKey (KEY), DENT (DENT), XRB (Raiblocks, now NANO), etc at Kucoin till they got listed at Binance.

HOWEVER, I lessened my Kucoin's use after reading this warning (posted back in August 2018):

WARNING: KuCoin’s Hong Kong office is empty. Be extremely cautious about depositing money into this exchange. (Proof Photos Attached)

https://medium.com/@jacksonwong2244/warning-kucoins-hong-kong-office-is-empty-29b5cee66f36

Kucoin did come up with some nice explanation in reply to this warning:

The Clarifications on KuCoin Office Locations

https://news.kucoin.com/en/the-clarifications-on-kucoin-office-locations/

I still do sometimes trade there (and all that goes smoothly), but usually don't leave even a bit of my funds there anymore.

I first knew about this exchange from a guy I traded with in Wallapop (not sure you yanks have it; so it's basically an app to buy and sell stuff to people near you). I bought something from him and paid with BTCBTC; and while the tx got confirmed; we had some "deep talk" about "gpu mining" "altcoins" and "ways to make money yout of BTC with 0 effort". HIs ideas were a bit floppy to me; but since I was the buyer and wanted a nice review; I was all nice Smiley

In the middle of this petty talk; he mentioned Kucoin to me; because he had just won a telegram contest from them and the prize was a Ledger nano S! He the proceeded to spam me about the exchange, how I should be joining the telegram for the monthly contests,....

I was kind enough to ignore him; but a couple of days ago I saw Kucoin on some thread and decided to dig a bit. It looks nice enough to be an exchange (reminds me a lot to Etherdelta); has OTC market, aaand as far as I know; they have their own token that if kept inside the exchange; you get paid on daily basis (I think); so basically their own POS shitcoin (right me if I'm wrong here please).

That's pretty much what I can tell about Kucoin; since I have personally not made any trades there yet (and I don't thin I will, since it'd be another place to do KYC)

They seem to be making a few changes at the moment, and that could start to increase interest. I don't know much about the service, does anybody here use it?
