Like a lot of new users in the past few weeks, the huge price spike garnered my attention to look further into bitcoin.

A classmate of mine last year told me about it, and I wrote it off because I had an Nvidia card and the whole concept(crypto currencies) just seemed way out of my league.

So in the midst of the craze, I created an MtGox account and was desperately trying to find a way to buy bitcoins FAST, but I ended up going the way of signing up with Dwolla and waiting to get verified by MtGox.

I'm a very impatient person and have an act on a whim mentality.

But this time in bitcoin "purgatory" has given me several days to slowly digest posts around here and general sentiment.

My get rich quick attitude has turned more towards "Holy shit, this could change the very way we function as a society".

The only flaws I see are how daunting this is to your average everyday consumer, once we streamline it to where your everyday joe (Like me) can get on, click a few buttons and be up in running in a few minutes is when I think crypto will really take off.

tl;dr

Went from buying to make money, to trying to immerse myself in bitcoin culture
