There is a difference. On Steemit, the votes are not scarce. Here the merits will keep getting scarce with time. Members will merit other members making useful posts. Eventually, Smerits will keep accumulating in hands of more responsible people.

How Can I increase my merit score by providing more participation to me , or I think the effect : quality content, sharing or sharing the desired features in the forum or how long can I go to a higher level.
