You can mine all coins you want but it is profitable thats is it , you can mine X11, X13 ,X15, LBRY , ETH , ETC, CryptoNote,Nist5 ,Qubit ,Quark, X11evo, you only need the spec. Miner for the algo

I mine with a R9 270x VaporX LBRY@50 MH/s

I have 2 r9 280x`s and they give about 17+ MH/s a piece.
I use Claymore software and really like it!
The gpu uses about 175W of energy. I have them slightly undervolted and overclocked.

There is a guide to build a mining rig.. also about the GPU you given link above is good specs.. and think you can mine profitable in that gpu..

about "how much power it generate" we dont know how much power per month will generate of that gpu.. better to check it with your self.. using multi tester for electricity..

This is what has stopped me. Even with free electricity it is very difficult to break even. You would need to live in a country near to a factory or something so you can get the cheapest possible prices. I think that is why it is so difficult because people that live near the factories that produce the final product will all be GPU's sold locally cheaply and more for everyone else. That is how the can afford to still make ma profit. That is why most of us can't make a profit. We simply can't get the lastest GPU's at that speed and that amount. So we are left behind.

Don't mine HODL just buy and stake it right away you will make more. Buy a few high powered GPUs (look around the forum) most people use the same GPU's since they good at mining. You will need a good power supply or more depending on the amount of GPU's you will buy, go for single rail PSU's . Also make a frame for your rig you need space for air to flow around the miner since it will be getting hot.

If you are intrested in mining ETH clone than there is KR which also have smart contract feature and actually not a forked of ETH. So basically it can get same value as ETC when more will came to know about it. But price is relatively lower with less sell orders, so buying from the market may come cheaper but if you have spare mining rigs you can direct them to KR mining.

Or you can also mine ETC as hashing rate is still lower than ETH but this also seem to have lot more potential.
