Heat the heatsink with a heat gun, and use some kind of foreceps to grab and roll the heatsink off of the chip with a slight rocking motion. Always make sure to take the smaller bottom heatsink off first.

Then you can use a razor to scrape the epoxy off.


^^^Thats how I was taught by Bitmain at one of their training sessions.

I think that sidehack or lightfoot might have some good methods for this.

I have an s-9 board I burnt.

Was interested in removing a heat sink.

Has any one found a decent solvent to do this?
