The question here is that do you really know how to be a bounty manager and how this work?

this is not about how to profit but how to handle the job and how to satisfy your client .

Yeah and i notice it as well and that already ends his wish or plan to become a bounty manager.Once you had tarnished out your reputation then its really hard to clean it up unless if its not really that a major issue but this one involves cheating.

Easy to say on becoming a bounty manager but the responsibilities and the works need to be done on community handling is no joke.So if you dont have that kind of responsible kind of thinking then better think not.

Not to be judgeful but even he didnt able to start up his career was already finished. Cool

Go to the service board and put up your portfolio, all your qualities and capabilities as to why you think you are qualified for the job, mind you this will be very challenging as i don't think you have the experience yet, any project willing to higher a total newbie as a bm to their project is probably taking a chance with you, because the work of a bm is to help the project gain exposure and reach a larger audience to promote their service, you would also have the experience of creating a tread, uploading links and images, creating spreadsheet and updating it on a regular basis, and most of all learn how to relate with people (hunters) who are most annoying set of people Grin

Maybe that would work if bounty manager trust you that much I guess, OP should build trust and reputation first before seeking how to become a bounty manager. And I think there's no problem with the grammar and language of OP so it would be possible he could gain trust from someone but heed to what other's are saying here you might find one clue to advance your request.

Don't just ask money first, you should love your work first before asking for a payment for a professional fees. Or accept what comes to you as long as you contributed to them even if they couldn't pay you right I'm sure it will pay off someday.

Thank you so much for your feedback. But I want to say one thing that experience does not come one day. I can try and try to be successful or not is the next thing.

I have also talked to a lot of good bounty manager that I will work with them but they are reluctant to work. Now if anyone takes me with me then I have to take action alone. I know it's not easy, but I can try. Thanks sir.

Glad to see that if you can it started from yourself. Just try to create your own announcement service and try to offer what you can do. A discount maybe can attract some developers maybe. Good luck for you.

You have the guts to tell here in the forum about your aim and nothing's wrong with that ambition dude.
But to become a bounty manager here is not that easy especially if your not that skills enough to handle or manage
the campaign. And as far as I can see having a higher position here is an advantage, but like what I said if you have

As for the money to start with, if you can create an ANN thread (portfolio), you don't need it at all.

Working for free of charge on first time handling of campaign isnt really a bad idea at all and low budget projects would really be seeing this as a good offer and also an advantage to those who do offer free of service but doesnt mean that you wont really be doing your best.

Once you do get the job then this is the time on showing off your dedication to be a good manager,Managing everything and following on whats their expectations into the campaign that they do like.

Try to build your portfolio gradually and this would be a long term journey so dont make yourself hurry.

If you have the skill and you know how to use a spreadsheet and you can be full time and you know how a bounty campaign works then you can go to the service section and open a thread to your service, but I would like to remind you you are up against the top bounty managers here.
and I would like to add is you must know how to look if the project is good and legit it will ruin your reputation if you are going to promote a scam project.

Try to seek

1. Low or not so popular projects in the market which is usually having low budget
2. Accept first management even if its free of charge
3. Build your portfolio out of those projects
4. Continue to seek and try bigger projects and show off your experience
5. Don't expect big pays since you are just starting
6. Don't ever demand about pay and try to handle toe campaign well

Once you do get some feedbacks and you can show off some experience then this is where your journey starts on becoming real bounty manager.

Honestly, it doesnt really need some amount or something you should pay when you do become a bounty manager since its a job that would really be appointed to you once a certain company would able to choose you up on handling out in terms of marketing.

Anyone is free to start up this career but getting one project is the most challenging part as you arent really experienced nor your first time on handling out such task or job which i can say that it isnt really an easy one.

Most managers that I know of started with building their reputation. You can do it in several ways. For example, be a good poster and have enough influence on some sub-boards, participate in one of the best sig/bounty campaign that require high quality post, participate in trading/exchange activities with other users that require trust (but don't farm for this), etc. Connections are also important. Sometimes you don't have to do anything but a dev asked you to help them with their advertisement on BTC.

without any experience you may never find a bounty manager job, so try to provide other bounty related services like translation, logo and signature creation, ANN thread creation, etc then your reputation will increase then you may find a job to become a manager.

Do not only be tempted by the offer of money from a project but also how to protect your bounty participants so that at the end of the bounty period they get the promised payment on time.

I'm looking for someone like that but no one is taking me with them. I am talking to many bounty managers but they are reluctant to take me along. Now what can I do so that they will take me with them.

Yes, there will be some projects that will take you on board if they think that you're a worth it candidate to manage their bounty. But with the tough competition of being a bounty manager because there are a lot of choices that most projects will have to choose. Those that have the experience and made a good run managing past bounties, they're likely to be chosen by them and those that have a good reputation will be managed to get hired easily.

Don't run over the project but put your attention building up yourself. We have already tons of popular and expert bounty manager in this forum, and their bounty program are well managed all the time. It's recommended anyone who interest become a bounty manager take a close look how other successful manager are unique on their side. Since things are getting tough we need to up to date.

Of course as a bounty manager would need such skill since a bounties has a lot participants and data to fill up, but it depends on the manager itself if they think they can do it individually then there's no need an assistant to help them.

IMO you could create ANN thread on Service section for assisting bounty manager or even managing a bounties, you could explain what skills you have and how you can help.

If it's not help, the last way is contact personally the developer/team on Announcement section, ask them whether they want to start bounty campaign or not.

Anyway it will be tough to start since you're don't have any reputation and previously cheating with your Alt accounts.

If you have such experience then create a thread on the service section then provide your proofs/ past experience managing a bounty campaign, so that when someone is looking for a CM you can represent it to them.. and also when it comes salary no one knows wherein perhaps it depends on what's your agreement, for example how long the campaign will run and etc..

Maybe you are not convincing enough in terms of abilities or they really don't need anything from what you have to offer. After all, if you're just "playing" in the bounties area with posts containing only reports, how can the project owner judge that you really deserve to be a BM (or assistant at least)?
Being a bounty manager isn't just about managing, earning money, then leaving. There is a huge responsibility you have to bear towards clients and participants.

Managing a bounty does not need money from the side of the manager, but work online as to evaluating/accepting participants, updating spreadsheets and keeping the group informed about the bounty. They are paid by the project owners in a currency of the choice of the owners.

The best way to become a new manager in this forum is to first become an assistant to a well known manager who needs more hands. Like an apprentice. This way you will gain experience and get paid a partial amount under your boss. Then after a years you should start your own service after members have already known you and your boss can vouch for you.

Why do you think you can become a bounty manager? The fact that you participated in lots of bounties (according to your post history), does not prove that you can manage campaigns.
Before asking money for your work, you must build a portfolio or gain experience. I suggest you to create your own spreadsheet, choose one bounty that has already been finished, check all the reports and fill your own spreadsheet. Compare later it with the original one. But dont cheat. Then come back here and share your thoughts.
