You may be able to do it in your operating system. I know in KDE you can disable notifications on a per-app basis.
Looks like Windows 10 notification for me, but the option on W10 is only turn on/off notification which don't meet what OP needs.

as far as i know there is no option for that inside the interface so you wouldn't be able to do it without changing the code on your own. so what you can do is to ask the developers to implement this option for you.
