I have some money coming my way in April, I want to invest it in a mining rig. I bought a BFL Jalapeno a while back but it probably won't ship for months. Avalon seems to be a lot more reliable from what I've heard but their website is confusing. I was thinking of trying these guys http://www.kraterminer.com/ and wondered if anyone had any experience of them or has any advice. Also wondering if it's possible to just invest in someone else who'll do the mining, are there any pools that take investment?

Havent heard of them, but the videos and content on site, makes it more legit than more other including KNC and ect.

I'm checking out some minings pools on here. April is a long way away but I have money to invest at the moment as well. Buying my own gear seems like a better option it's just a scarier prospect. I guess I just got to bite the bullet. Thanks for your help.

Depending on how much your looking to spend - search the forum for bitfunder, there are lots of 'pooled' mining services that will take your money but DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH - of the dozen or more mining options out there, you have to be very careful because they will all take your money but may not provide a return on your investment.  You have to run the calculations to see what the cost per GHz will be for a contract vs mining yourself.  Everything that I've seen has worked out to be about 75% (on a mining contract) goes to you and the rest goes to the person you bought it from so keep that in mind.  Now, that said, April of 2014?  That's a long way off to try and figure out any sort of calculations...  the difficulty will be between 1 and 99999999% percent higher, the cost of a bitcoin will be much much higher or much much lower, the cost of hardware will certainly be lower (but it could be higher) so you will have to keep an eye on what's going on and don't think that you can apply what's happening today to what WILL happen next year.  April will be a totally different landscape.
