Also, mining on Nvidia cards is a terrible idea since the has rate is so low compared to the electricity used.  Unless of course you get free electricity from having your box based somewhere where you don't pay the bill?

Failing that get a 7950 HD Radeon (Sapphire is best) and hack away at 800kh/s +

Problem is, the download link to cudaminer isn't working on mega. So, I'm just sitting here dead in the water until that gets resolved.

I have an nvidia GTX660
I know this card is not ideal by any means, but my real problem is this.

I cant get guiminer to start.

I put in the host and port and username and password. and then press start.

Then i get errors like cgiminer.exe: -w: Invalid value passed to set_worksize , so I put values in there (I use the defaults) and then I hit start, and it just sits IDLY on Starting........ what do I do?

I really encourage cudaminer in your case, I'm seeing 140khash/s on a GTX560Ti, which is not bad at all. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-cudaminer-ccminer-cuda-based-mining-applications-windowslinuxmacosx-167229 download and get going, I'm using the 14/4 version.

Why don't you mine through the litecoin program itself?

Unless there is something I don't know....

Use cudaminer for mining on an nvidia card. Much more optimized for nvida versus anything else

Just downdoladed pooler and it had a trojan in it try the litecoin wallet but got minerd and lib not in same directory.

'which one?

minerd pooler's cpu miner is flagged as a Trojan. It is because someone used it to infect machine to turn them into a bot network.

use cudaminer

it works quite weill for nvidia cards

Do what he said...if you really want to get some usage out of the card.

And if Guiminer is showing in the taskbar, but not opening...hit Alt+space bar then click Maximize.  Then click the Menu bar and drag it back into view.
