There has been a good amount of theft recently of phyisical crypto items, especially involving USPS.

what kind of thefts have we heard about?

while it is definitely safer to peel and sell the carcass - many of the people telling you to do so, know that their coins will increase in value for each one that gets peeled.

But with the price where it is, getting a huge Bitcoin premium will be difficult. They are not wrong in saying that.

The true advice is strategically cut around the keys and remove/replace like Otoh did… and there will not be any real premium (1.5 - 2x) unless btc dumps. We saw very little premium with 40k btc let alone 90k.

Plus you are sitting on 16 btc, why go to any trouble for an extra little bit of premium?

A lot of risk meeting someone in person to deliver a million bucks as well.

Wish I had the problem protecting the value of a loaded Cas coin - all I have is redeemed

wait, otoh's coins were redeemed? I thought they were all funded.

The Stone the masons rejected was the cornerstone.
Nice set of Casascius coins you have there...especially the 10 BTC one. Diamond hands after all these years.

You asked for the best escrow here, then I would recommend MinerJones as the best.

Its a shame your gonna peel but understand your position.

The  more guys like you peel, the rarer my Casascius coins will become. To me its a good way to HODL BTC in cold storage.

    Goodluck whatever you decide.

I appreciate an advice from yall
I will probably peel them soon.
Waiting to see if btc can close the day above 92.7k and that's my time
Otherwise if btc falls below 82-85 I'll instant peel em
Regarding low premiums on Cas coins rn I have no doubt if I should sell or peel em as the apsolute value in $ won't make a large difference

Peel - claim btc - sell carcasses

That’s the only realistic move

I agree. Way too much risk shipping or even trusting a "safe" third party to transport those with BTC @ almost $100k. That 10BTC coin is almost $1M USD.

Hello community
After almost 10 years of holding I have come to idea that it's right time to sell my casascius coins.
I have a couple of questions
Is it better to sell via auction or Bin price?
What are the premiums that is current market accepting?
Who's the best escrow here on forum to use?
Should I ship coins or meet irl
Should I peel and sell it peeled or keep the piece of history untouched and sell it loaded

I will be providing images in the thread of sale
( none of coins is graded but mint condition)
