Your latest comments are appreciated.  Our discussion will insure that no one will be taken advantage of.  The terms are clear and someone will have to trade present value for future potential value.  It’s a gamble but most investment activity is.  Everyone who used savings to buy Bitcoin before it was worth a thousand dollars was gambling.  Nobody knew for sure that this day would come back then.  If it happened once it can happen again.
And lastly, using the USD exclusively for valuation kind of defeats the whole purpose and spirit of crypto.

Peace.

The other party will assist in choosing where we can handle escrow, so that’s why I didn’t name an escrow service.  And XYO’s availability on various exchanges is something I’m relying on in order to make this trade happen.

Someone may agree to my trade request.  It’s not in violation of some policy or law for me to ask.  It doesn’t hurt for me to ask.  Here’s a scenario:  An investor who got in early and acquired a lot of Bitcoin sees my request and agrees because;
A) They reviewed XYO and see that it indeed has a lot of upside and
B) Recognize that once upon a time not long ago Bitcoin wasn’t worth much and
C) Realize that part of crypto is thinking differently and not basing every decision solely on the value of the USD &
D) Have Bitcoin to spare and respect the ask and if nothing else can use it as a write off on next year’s Form 8949.

I see you have a lot of clout in this forum albon and I respect that.  But just because you think my trade request is illogical doesn’t mean everyone else will.  And advising others not to deal with me is presumptive and mean spirited.  I joined this forum because I actually put in a lot of time mining my XYO and would regret if I didn’t at least try to trade it for a Bitcoin.  And swapping it on Coinbase or Kucoin won’t accomplish my goal will it?  Thanks for your input, albeit kind of rude, but I stand by my trade request Thank You.
Are you kidding me, man?! This is a completely unequal deal. Do you expect a member, even if he has a large amount of digital gold that he bought early, to make a deal to sell a full coin of Bitcoin that he owns for the amount of coins from this unknown project you have, which are worth less than 500 dollars?

If he sells 1 BTC, he will get 3,950,786 XYO. Also, no coin has the potential like Bitcoin. If you think that the XYO you have has the potential to grow in the future and could bring huge profits, then you shouldn't sell it and wait until it reaches the value of Bitcoin you're trying to get from members here.

Considering the clear price differences between the two currencies, your offer is an attempt to scam others and an unbalanced deal. If you see that selling 20K XYO through exchanges will not achieve your goal if you get 0.0050 BTC from selling your amount from this coin, then you should hold your coins patiently if you believe in the project's potential, as you have already mentioned.

Regards.

What is this reputable escrow site you are talking about? Also XYO is already listed on many centralized exchanges [Coinmarketcap], in addition to its current price of $0.0248, and the price of 20,000 $XYO coins are worth $497.24, so how can you offer this amount for one bitcoin that has now reached $100,000?!  Roll Eyes

Whoever wants to buy XYO can already do so on exchanges at the current market price without needing to trust a 'newbie' like you or any unknown escrow site. In addition, the offer you made is illogical. Therefore, I advise everyone to avoid dealing with you.. If you really want to trade XYO for Bitcoin, platforms like Coinbase, Kucoin, and Gate.io can assist you with that!

I am a newbie and therefore want to set up escrow through a reputable site.  I’m offering to trade 20,000 XYO for 1 Bitcoin. The XYO network has been active since 2018.  It has great potential and can easily be worth the ~$5 necessary to make this trade pencil out.  It recently (Dec 3rd) saw a price increase of +356%.  A quick viewing of the XYO website will show how groundbreaking their network is.

Feel free to email or message me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you.
