If that BTC is actual bitcoin that you traded XRP/BTC on the bitstamp trade gateway, then you should be able to withdraw the bitcoin directly from the ripple client to a bitcoin address.
I successfully did it this morning. Just enter the bitcoin address into the send field on ripple.

edit: and I do not have an account at bitstamp

Wow thank you, tried that and it worked! Smiley

This is the problem with Ripple.
Your BTCs are not real.

I've got 0.13BTC locked in a Ripple account that needs transferring to a real BTC wallet.

I still haven't signed up properly to bitstamp so can't do it myself yet.

If anyone fancies sending 0.12BTC to 17QLJG5wmmcYhACGJKA3B9j9yNGAJUzKsS and then gives me their ripple address, i'll send you my 0.13BTC to your Ripple account, and if you're signed up to Bitstamp, you can transfer this directly to your account there.

If anyone wants to take this up, pm me your BTC address first so I know who's sent it.

Thanks for the help.

Tom
